Thank you Turjan for this information. Unfortunately, I am not a computer genius..like Noony for example! I guess at this time, I will just have to live with it. I tried to understand DataNod and Reader and I admit with no shame that I do not understand how to read these products, even after reading the instructions several time. And for the life of me, I cannot locate an .exe file for this game. Not sure if it has something to do with the fact my game is a digital download from Steam (I know Noony, you don't like them...lol).

well, the plugin is 951MB..have not attempted to datpack items yet (way too new at this to take a chance to mess up things). I do run the cleaning and carefully read the readme files...guess I will just have to wait and see. Thank you for the information Noony.

Good day all! I have been searching for the mod that modifies the end of a road (cul-de-sac). I was on SC4 Devotion and a link was provided, but unfortunately, it brings me on Stex first page. I have been scrolling down the pages, but seem to be unable to find that mod. Is there a specific name to it? Having the exact name of the mod may help me with my search. As always, thanks for the assistance!

I seem to be experiencing more crashes as well of late. I have a a Intel ® Core (TM2 Q8200 @2.33GH3, 4.00 GB and 64 bit operation system. I run on Window Vista Home Premium. I do save constantly, but I also freeze at times. I would hate to have to remove some of my plugins since I use them all in my cities. Not sure if downloading a variety of buildings would be the cause? I do have NAM and from previous post, it seems the patch is automatically installed. I guess I will just keep on pressing save.

I have just started to play this wonderful game. I may not be as experienced as others who answered this question, but I know one thing: this game (and I hate calling it a "game" since it is much more than that) will continue as long as there are individuals prepared to create and share their new content, mods, BAT, etc... Therefore, my answer is no. The only thing I would love to see is having the ability to build freely without the constraint of a grid. I understand the need for the grid, but can you imagine if you could build anywhere, in any shape or form? I do.

Hello all! I have been trying to find a nice city sign. The sign option in the game is...well... yeah...I am sure you get my drift...lol I saw a journal where the individual had a really nice type of brick welcome sign surrounded by gardens..it was extremely appealing. Anyone knows where I may find more appealing signs? Also, I was wondering if anyone know where I can find pink trees...yes, I said it, pink trees..lol...something like magnolia trees? Thanks!

Hello all! I am fairly new to SimCity 4 and when I was looking at various journals to understand and get some ideas of how to play the game (along with youtube, etc), I came across a city journal from Art128 - the Kamiyama region - City Enoshima Rev1. I have been searching for that pink tree mod (think they are magnolias or something). They look beautiful and would be great for an idea I have. Can anyone assist me with this? I have been unsuccessful finding a mod for this. Thank you!

I would recommend buying the game from Steam. It is the latest version and you are not required to install any patches (except maybe the I-HT census patch). I believe it may be about 5$ more than amazon, but you will have the ability to play it right away without having to worry if you have the right version, patches, etc. And Nonny Moose is right, you should definitely get a refund. Good luck with this! I know I am still struggling with it..lol but I have a great mentor who has provided a lot of great advices.

Quick question: where do you see if you have enough jobs in your city? I am still trying to figure out graphs (unsuccessfully I may add lol). Is there such a thing as a mod that actually could give you information as to how many sims you have per level ($,$$,$$$), how many commercial and industrial jobs you have in the city, etc without having to click each buildings in your city? Something like a census data... Thanks!

I would recommend buying it. It has a tremendous amount of goods to create wonderful cities and it is very easy to use and understand (which is a blessing for a newbie like me! lol).

Hello, I am new to Sim City, therefore, before I started playing the game, I read all I could on everything, tutorials, etc. I purchased Sim City 4 Deluxe Rush Hour version. I have intalled NAM, CAM, applied both the IH census and Workforce fix and a CO$$$ fix. I manage my budget with no problem. However, my issue is with RCI and my commercial area stating "Low Customers." My residential area is underneat my commercial area and my industrial area is above my commercial (with some space to avoid pollution as much as possible) I have neighboring cities (2), my taxes are low (about 5 to 6%), I use buses, subways, trains (industry), elevated track, etc... I tried to put my commerce next to my residential block and still the same - my RCI shows negative for CO, extremely high for residential and normal for industry. On top of that, I have zoning that did not develop and next to it there is a house with the beautiful "no work" sign (long commute). I even tried to copy several layouts from various tutorials and still the same issue. Anyone out there who is willing to help a very eager new player who is starting to really thinking of giving up? There is so many different opinions about CAM..and everyone says if you have NAM = No issues... Your assistance with this or any advice would be greatly appreciate!

I have read your numerous post about CAM and I must admit I installed it with some reticence, but some people made it sound like it was essential. I do have SPAM and simply adore the farm effect. Hello, I seem to be experiencing the same issue..I read this post and tried it again with the links provided. I did modify my SimCity_1.dat to include 2 fixes. So I uninstalled SC4, reinstalled it and then proceeded to try the patch again..same message. My file is not saved in a Maxis folder (do not have a folder with that name anywhere in my computer). My game was saved under Steam/steamapps/common/simcity4. I did purchase my game directly from Steam... Any advice? Oh, and I am from Canada..
