I made a Google Maps-style map of the large city tile just north of the regional capital of Boston. Charlestown in the southeast, Somerville in the southwest, and Chelsea in the northeast. Still a lot of undeveloped land, but this mostly suburban tile is home to 106,210 people. Markers indicate subway stations and regional commuter rail stations. (image is 3000x3000)

I built an interchange around another interchange. It's designed to allow entry into the southern tip of the CBD for commuters entering the city from the south on the Central Artery (Interstate 93/95/US Route 1, running left-right in this picture) and the Massachusetts Turnpike (Interstate 90), which terminates here. Central Artery & New Rutherford Ave, Charlestown & Somerville town line. The Central Artery ends as Interstate 93 (continuing west), 95 (continuing east) & US Route 1 (continuing north) split off from each other. Chelsea/Chelsea Seaport rotary interchange on the Northeast Expressway (Interstate 95).

It does say "NOT FINAL GAMEPLAY FOOTAGE," so I bet they're still working on the rail part. If you notice, after he makes the intersection, you never see the rail lines in the video again, even when they pan out at the end they make sure to hide the terrible interchange. But..... no highways.

Network Widening Mod (NWM) - Development and Support

Are you saying you've converted a stretch of AVE-6 to RHW-6C, with zoning along the sides? If so, revert it back. RHW-6C (or any RHW network, for that matter) DOES NOT allow zoning access. No, I converted an AVE-6 intersection to an RHW-6C interchange, and when I ran the simulator, I end up with a lot of "No Job" zots and buildings "abandoned due to commute time. Here's what the traffic pattern looks like heading south on the AVE-6 into a neighboring city before the RHW-6C interchange: I then replaced the southernmost intersection with an RHW interchange, and this happened after running the simulator for a while: Hard to see due to the JPG compression, but a majority of the residential houses to the east of the AVE-6 have no job zots over them. I had the same problem a week ago when I first made the AVE-6. At first I had the neighbor connection as an RHW-6C to save space in the other city, but when I ran the simulator the entire city ended up abandoned due to commute times. When I reloaded a previous save and took out the RHW-6C stretch, no abandonment occurred.- 414 Replies

Is there some sort of bug with the AVE-6 to RHW-6C transition? Whenever I convert a stretch of AVE-6 to RHW-6C, anyone who commutes on the AVE-6 moves out due to high commute times.- 414 Replies

according to someone on reddit, no highways, at least on the pre-alpha demo at gamescom: http://www.reddit.com/r/SimCity/comments/ydm5u/update_i_have_been_playing_simcity_5_for_over_an/ -

I used to play SC4 years ago, and recently re-discovered it with NAM and RHW, and it's awesome! Here's some of my interchanges. This trumpet interchange is the eastern end of Interstate 490, an auxiliary Interstate highway that currently runs in a western direction from Interstate 90 in West Springfield to the downtown CBD in the nearby city of Rochester. It doesn't connect directly to I-90 in Rochester though... heh. This partial-cloverleaf interchange is the western terminus of Route 128, a partial beltway that runs through the CBD of Rochester. Exits 2A and 2B along Route 128 mainly serve a small but densely populated high-wealth neighborhood in southeastern Rochester. Most of the neighborhood's residents work in neighboring Greenfield, making this the most congested portion of the expressway. Yet another partial cloverleaf that connects Route 140 (the Tiverton Expressway) with the Tiverton Industrial Park The RHW-4s on the left run along the perimeter of the industrial park, which carefully placed at-grade intersections and traffic circles to manage traffic flow. The off-ramp from 140 used to lead to an avenue with an at-grade intersection, but that caused traffic nightmares so I had to implement the current parclo to parclo connector system.
