Invisible texture here as well, looks great in the pic though.
  2. RTMT Patch V351

Do we need this if NAM 2009 is installed?
  3. Novel House 2

Grows like a mother in my cities.

  5. San Diego v1.0

San Diego Semi-tropical San Diego, with its mean temperature of 70 degrees F, Mediterranean-like white-washed stucco buildings and strong cultural influences from sunny Mexico, is as close to visiting a foreign country as visitors could get and yet, is as American as apple pie. The heart of this clean city lies at the foot of the harbor just minutes by cab or rental car from Lindbergh Field, where most travelers debark. Yet, modern San Diego has become much more than just a harborside city. Spanning from the North County beach areas to the South Bay cities along the Mexican border, San Diego is now the sixth largest city in the United States. While all these areas fall under the San Diego umbrella, each individual community maintains its own personality, geography and identity. Truly, in San Diego's case, the whole is greater than the sum of its parts. Zoning and habitat development does not start until the very end of page 3, the first few pages are the development of the city transportation. Here's what my first step was, laying the freeways.. took a few weeks in itself. And there still has been modifications from what is below. I don't live in this city, but I've visited it countless times and I really like the feel of San Diego and it's widespread but closeknit & diverse community. You'll also notice this isn't the most organized city journal.. but it gets the job done.
  6. San Francisco v2.0

Transporation Overview of The City (this is the last part of the region that is being developed, read on to see the development of Marin County to the North of San Francist and Alameda County to the East) Regional Overview: Here is the first update. Since RH isn't out and I've determined that I should hold off on building the main city of San Francisco and concentrate more on the outlying areas. So I've started north of the GG Bridge... following the Redwood Hwy north a ways... and then moving east to Tiburon. Tiburon is a hillside/seaside town that has spectacular views of downtown while located in a country/forest like setting. Homes go anywhere from $550,000 up to a $24.5 million home called Round Hill Estate!!! Wouldn't want to be owner of that home when/if the housing market bursts up there, but their homes sure are nice to look at. I have a question and have been searching for the answer for over a few weeks now... how do you take a screen shot of the traffic map? Everytime I click on the map button the camera options disappear, does anyone know how to take pictures of the information maps and graphs? Greatly appreciated, thanks. Lastly, one way I try to make sure the densities/wealth level I build is consitant to the real thing. I just started the practice of doing so halfway through the last SF region (another reason I wanted to start over). If you are reduplicating cities, a great tool is http://www.realtor.com. I have found that website extremely useful in finding out what the homes look like around the bay area. To compare the homes in the Tiburon region with the real things, check out http://www.realtor.com/FindHome/HomeListings.asp?frm=bymap&st=CA&typ=1&typ=2&typ=3&typ=4&typ=5&typ=6&poe=realtor&mnbed=0&mnbath=0&mnprice=0&mxprice=99999999&js=off&pgnum=1&lnksrc=&fid=so&mnsqft=&mls=xmls&ct=Tiburon&optInCheckbox=yes&areaid=1329 Hope that link works, if it doesn't for any of you I'll come back and erase it. Until the next update....
  7. San Francisco, CA

I am taking a break from developing Hilo. I am having a technical problem with the graphics in the city plus I''m getting bored with it. I''ll post updates on that region later... but for now... I''m starting on my own San Francisco region. This will be as close to the real thing as possible. I''ve downloaded plenty of city overview pictures (from a helicopters perspective) so this region will have plenty of accuracy after it is finished. Today I finished the freeways that run throughout the peninsula. If any of you have any suggestions on how I should alter the freeways to make them more realistic (like if it was susposed to go to the north instead of south of a certain mountain or hill) feel free to comment. Critique away. Every now and then (hopefully once a week) I''ll post a new region overview plus a few up close pictures. Most likely I''ll be starting development South San Francisco since industry is the first major demand.
  8. Biomass Power Plant

Looks outstanding. Bio-diesel is the future!
  9. Underworld Laminating Company

I have a feeling this is industry, but is it?
  10. The Grinning Hog Pub

Very nondescript building, kind of slummy, I like it.
  11. The Olive Garden

The roof texture is simply awesome, great find and use. I like the vines over the open wood canopy as well.
  12. Taco Bell

Yea! Toxic Hell.. I had my first job there 12 years ago! Good model, crappy food!
  13. Chicago IL

Please fix the .jpg, it's a .jpg of an in-game screenshot as of now.
  14. Beach House

I like the overall design of the building, but the "old concrete" look and the greyish blue windows gives it a "cold" look.
  15. Port Donaldson

Looks like a cross between Seattle & San Francisco.
  16. Cutinhalf Town House

It's simple, it's brick, and it's off red... what's not to like about it?
  17. Atricia Plaza

Looks great, what is the size? 4x4?
  18. City Taxi Company

Great concept, but needs a few finishing touches on the lot. A little more flora and expand the parking areas to the fence rather than a huge concrete island.
  19. Sheraton Four Points Hotel

the flora makes this an 11!
  20. Experimental Patagonia Upadate 11

Very unique. I usually need more air pollution though, so I won't be using it. 9 from me.

Date:9/7/2004 5:27:37 PM Author:CobyCash Hey could u make the whole SF Region available for download (Roads and buildings and everything??quote> Coby, the region is already available for download. Some downloaders have experienced some problems though, mainly with cities not being able to load properly. If you are willing to try, and don't mind the enormous download size, feel free to message me on MSN Messenger when I'm @ home. I'm glad you guys enjoy this CJ.
  24. Kilinco Inc

Will mesh well with the other smaller skyscrapers in downtown. Thank you!
  25. San Diego v1.0

I haven't been playing an incredible amount of time on San Diego, but I did manage to play it for a few more weeks from the last update and I do plan on concluding this CJ by finishing the entire region. I have a side project that I am working on now in my spare time to break up the monotony of suburbs, more of a high density/medium density city but not one of those concrete jungles. Thanks to this nifty program called Region Census (found at SCC) I have an update. It's a regional shot, shocker. Click on the pics to see the normal sized 2034x1044 shot. http://img89.exs.cx/img89/5382/sandiegoregioncensusthumb.jpg width=800 border=0> http://img89.exs.cx/img89/5404/sandiegoTRAFFICrcthumb.jpg width=800 border=0>
