A biomass power plant decomposes organic matter to obtain combustiblegases, like methane. The combustion of those gases is then used toproduce electricity, much like a natural gas power plant.
The biomass plant produces more power than a solar power plant, at moreor less the same price per MWh. However, it produces a slight amount ofpollution (nowhere near that caused by a WTE plant, which works undersimilar principles).
This power plant is the terran version of the martian biomass powerplant. When I had finished the original building for SimMars, I thoughtit would look cool in a standard SimCity city too. So I'm releasingthis one in the STEX for everyone to enjoy. For the rest of ourbuildings, you'll have to wait until we release a Beta
