  7. BAT Help - Lighting

    can't remember if i read this somewhere or not. IF I make a prop that overhangs the boundary of the lot (the prop is 3 tiles by 3 tiles but the lot is only 1 tile) will the nitelites show up in game? I though I read somewhere that any prop over hanging the boundary would not lite up at night, however I am not sure if it was fully located off the lot or one that extends partway over yet still is on the lot itself.     very simple to make but hey good stuff dosnt have to be complicated. It is coming up with the idea that matters after all. good stuff 9/10 for no nightlight shots and too lazy to go check my self
  10. Split Buildings

    Split buildings are very easy to make, i dont know why people havent made any yet. I have been make some for my self use for a while now. Making one involves basically 1) the size of the LOD defines the blue square area in lot editor 2) the center point in GMAX is the center of the blue square, that point in lot editor could not be moved beyond lot boundries. 3) to make night light work with split buildings the LOD size in XY plane has to be multiples of 8 (4,8,16,32,64...) and make sure you dont cover the roads. hope everyone start making some good ones since mine kinda suck lol
  11. 3D Studio Max BAT Version 2 Released !!

    so i downloaded the script and the error became code=130, error generating fsh/model file. now what do i do? I checked over my steps with the one in the instructions all seems correct, is there anything else i need to download? Edit: I figured out the problem. Since the BAT i installed was a fresh copy, it was zoomed out at long distance. After i un-check the conver unit box it creates a huge LOD relative to the game. That seem to be causing the problem. After i zoomed in before i imported the LOD in bat the problem went away.

    hey Sarg are you using 3ds max 5, 6 or 7. I cant seem to get it to work on mine and it keep giving me Code=6 after it finish render zoom5 thx

    Is it suppose to support 3ds max 7? I tried it on mine and after it render the first image it gives me code 6. any thoughts?
