Update: Development of Farms and Roads
cdg0219 commented on Wakita_OK_Boy's City Journal Entry in Wakita, OK
Looks a lot like a Western Oklahoman small town so far. You should plop the Empire State Building next. -
I'm from Tulsa and didn't know this place was real! Not many small town CJs. I'll follow this one!
-
Excellent! I didn't know that bridge was 200 years old... I hope you'll do Tulsa, Oklahoma next.

We must create a synthesis between HTML architecture and MSQL planning to handle such large numbers of chatters. -

5/5!!!! Rounding up, but I give it a 4.99 because it reminds me I'll never be this good. -

I'd never been to many major cities until very recently. I've never been out of the country, but here are my impressions: 1. Tulsa, OK - Maybe biased, but there's all sorts of culture mixed together, giving the city a very unique flavor. You can live however you want to. 2. Kansas City, MO - Sure, there's a good deal of crime. The feel of the city was, however, very safe I thought. The downtown was busy, the culture was prevalent. Very midwestern, giving it some pluses and minuses... 3. Colombus, OH - Clean, comfortable, and cultured. I didn't stay long, but I loved what I did see. 4. Washington, DC - A great city in itself. Not just because it's the US capital (I consider that a minus) but because of the vibrant lifestyle and architecture. 5. Broken Arrow, OK - My hometown, a suburb of Tulsa. If I didn't include it, I'd be a traitor. 5. New York, NY - A tie!!!! No need to explain.

Meh. RIP, I guess.

I better elaborate...that thing looks great. Although I think its a very plain building, it has a charm to it, and the surface floor's design is great! Tulsa has many great buildings, this being one of the less impressive, but it's always a nice addition. It's also nice to see some recognition of Tulsa as a real urban area! Man

The BoK Center in Tulsa, Oklahoma. I think the contrast with the older art-deco buildings really makes it stand out. -
Wow that was a big update! I see a lot of new custom content which is always a plus. Those HK buildings really contrast well with the rest of the city. Your high wealth area is looking great and that stadium is excellent. It looks like a really wealthy area! The only thing I think is unusual is the marina being 20 feet below the road, but that's just a minor thing. Great work!

Wow, this CJ is getting more and more like a real ex-British colony! The airport is pretty incredible, and the semi-suburban area in the 2nd pic is really nice. The subdivisions are great and realistic looking! The red roads look great with the surroundings, too. That factory-type building in the last pic is really impressive as well. This was one of the best updates yet.

I was about to give up on this city journal since it hadn't been updated in so long, but I'm glad I clicked on this bookmark when I did. You've really done some amazing work here, and the city is starting to resemble an Oklahoma city very well. I'm starting to see more of a trend towards imitating Tulsa though. I'm glad to see this CJ survive your leave of absence. -

Waaaay to much repetition in the med-density buildings around downtown. The HUD, as has been mentioned before, should be removed in all of your future pictures. It's also extremely gridded, and everything looks like it was built in a box...mostly because it was. I usually don't care if there is a lot of custom content, but with the ridiculous repetition of Maxis buildings it just starts to look unrealistic... Even if you weren't going for realism, I think that there is a lot of room for improvement. I think your capable of making a great CJ, just put a little bit more work into them. Your already ahead of me, since I have yet to even start a City Journal. Good luck. -
Wow! You really put a lot into this CJ! The back story was really well written and I actually read a lot of it. The economy and government sections seemed very realistic and thought out. The cities themselves were great and seemed very similiar to places that used to be British colonies. The only possible problem I see with it is the UDI zots which are barely noticeable. 10/10.
