indeed it does duke, the Hagia Sofia has it's roots in the Christian Orthodox religion of the Byzantine Empire and the current structure was erected under the rule of the emperor Justinian, but i digress, i find it saddening and embarrassing that people would grow so violent and angry over this, i think this is all being spun out of control personally and that more of a deal is being made out of this than it should be. Having the Islamic Center so close isn't an affront to any victim, what i see it as is an outreach to the community, and by putting it nearby the community leaders want to give people who visit ground zero some perspective so they don't leave the area thinking "all muslims are bad" but to show them that a small group of people hurt everyone around them that september morning. If we don't grow from this, if all we do is hate eachother and protest in fear, then terrorists win, for that is the true goal. to make more fear and hate. Is it quaint of me to think everyone should be civil over this?

i like soundtracks in general, not just movies but video games are getting stunning soundtracks too I have to say i liked the score from I, Robot, very dark and futuristic in places, and grandiose in others, the shawshank redemption has the most beautiful and emotional score in my opinion. My newest acquisition came with the game mafia 2, i got the special edition and it has the original score included, the second song used in the opening scene is very nice, as well as the first and third songs

out of the Current Generation, the PS3 takes it for me, top notch performance, great graphics and great additional functions, 360 would come in second, great library of games, but marred due to some systemic design flaws, minuscule hard drive.

it really doesn't seem all that safe, i must admit, the bus blocks sight lines in cars, is fixed on rails, and just seems like it'll get in the way of everyone else

Missing Sunspots Make Scientists Think Sun is Changing

this really isn't anything new, there have always been doomsday screamers crying "The End is Nigh!" at the slightest jolt, it will always be something asinine, or serious, how many times since 1962 has the world supposed to have ended, or WWIII supposed to have broken out? it pretty much amounts to a real life allegory of the boy who cried wolf, or in these cases War, Solar Flare, or Computer Virus. i'm sure we'll make it through all of this with no scars just like the last dozen times -

If i Recall there was a fair amount of genuine suspicion surrounding the results of the 2000 election, most of the people stopped beating the dead horse a few months later about the recount, and no they won't even look at you for a nomination if you don't have a US Birth Certificate. and What's so bad about Obama having an Islamic Heritage? that's just a tad Narcissistic to expect an elected official to have the same religion as you. there are so many things here that are absolutely petty in nature, nit pickers just love to pick nits over things most people don't care about. :\

Discussion - Advancement of the Coal Industry
Wrightguy0 replied to Wakita_OK_Boy's topic in General Off-Topic
good thing he has mineral rights, a few people to my north got quite upset to find an oil company drilling a test well on their property, as for that i think there is a way to make coal burn clean, 200 years, and we still use coal, though the process of removing the coal could be cleaner, pity there isn't a universal set of regulations -
I'd like to ask you to clarify that, because last time i looked we as Canadians are subjects of a Constitutional Monarchy, and last time i looked Canada was one of the top performers in the G20. and i'm afraid you have been misinformed sir, our Government is headed by Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, the Governor General is only her Representative
