  1. RLS Homes - The Birka

Parking on the lawn isn't that rare in Sweden, afterall the grass is rarely that dry in Sweden that there's risk for fire. Unless it's uncut of course.
  2. Yes I'm starting do do the same, a scandinavian type terrain mod. I'm getting there already, it's just the seasonal things (moisture) is very unpredictable even when you change the weather properties exemplar to what you want. Some times you get the strangest effects out of it. But I am already getting seasonal changes. It is easier than I thought. I have never really done any sort of modding before or even made a lot in loteditor or anything. But my terrain mod is slowly getting better. I used real life photographies of november grass and managed to texturize it nicely in Texture Maker, very good easy to use program. Then I add different colors of different levels of brownness in the grass and in the middle I use the original texture which contains both greenish and more brownish-yellowish elements. So I think I might actually succeed in doing a seasonal mod as my first ever SC4 plugin. I've been using plugins since there came out plugins for SC4, and I feel guilty that I haven't been able to participate much before now. I'm not very computer-skilled, but the terrain editing stuff is pretty straight forward. The seasonality things are not though, but that's because it was never meant to be in the game. Or they changed their minds about seasons at some point when making SC4, maybe deadline was coming close, who knows.
  3. Lithuanian old block

Beauiful! These are very common in Sweden too, and I always try to build my cities to look Scandinavian/Finnish/Baltic style.
  4. Hello my question is, is it possible to make a terrain mod in which the ground textures change depending on season? Someone seemed to have mistakenly thought that Columbus Terrain Mod does that, which got me thinking. I really really want that now. Where would I begin if I wanted for my own personal use add seasonal textures. Really when it comes to terrain there just needs to be two sets, one from November through March and one for the rest of the year. Snow isn't necessary, winter is often snowless and most models that come with Cycledogg's seasonal fauna don't have snow on them in the winter just decidious trees and bushes with dropped leaves. So just the really green grass textures would require to be changed to brown-yellow winter grass that changes with time. Can someone tell me how I would go about making such a mod, first for myself and whith the permission from Cycledogg for the public? I have ilives and SC4 PIM-X not sure how to make anything seasonal. If seasonal terrains already exist, then I would be very thankful if someone could point me to one such.
  5. Es Salam Maleykhoum Great Mosque v1

Yes another Masjid! I am swedish atheist but I want to my make a Northern Iran generic niy unnamed country style city. It could be north Iran, or parts of Northern Pakistan or valleys of Afghanistan as they looked before all the wars, green and luscious.
  6. Hur bra som helst. There are some buildings that look much like the DDT and Sons and the power substation in the harbor area in Norrk
  7. Asphalt Path Set

Very useful for european type cities or american university towns with lots of bike paths and walking paths. I have long wanted something like this. I like the fact that it's clean and has no flora, both because then i can plop my own flora and also in many cases in real life, these trails are just on grass.
  8. Maxouben's Urban Parks Kit

It looks so unremarkable, but it is such an important part of the cities, having good looking and realistic parks, I love the soccer field with spectator bench terraces this is just how most soccer stadiums for small towns look like.
  9. YAY!!! Finally someone did it :) This (street markings) is one of the most important details in an view-from-above like simcity interface for creating a certain "european" feel, or any other local feel for that matter...
  10. Weasel Rural School

This looks almost exactly like the school I went to in Sweden. In a community of like 1000 people but still with no business or industry except a mattress factory which had like 5 employees, only loads of houses and this school and a church.
  11. Santa Rosa Flag Animated

It's really cool, but it is also the flag of the province of
  12. La Bretonne Mustard Seed Rape Farm

Looks like swedish summer =) very nice
  13. The Red Church

Wow in California... This looks very scandinavian... It's very fine
  14. Swiss Garden

    wrong shape though
  15. Smaller School

very good for small downs... as kid i grew up in the country with school of only 50 students so i think you can make it even smaller remember smaller schools would be less effective as in cost per student
