    I just looked at the countdown page of the march 6 event, and there is 2 bios of speakers : a philantropist and a filmmaker. Doesn't look very Simcity to me, but who knows...

    Ok, it's quite an old lot, but I do need some support! When build, these lots looks empty, many buildings are missing (no boxes, just empty...) Any solutions?

    I'd like to suggest that you post an « index » with pictures of each of the water mod you made available to us! It would facilitate the choice of the water mod I would like to use. I had pressure by some CJ readers on another site to use a water mod... I choose you, drunkapple! 5/5

  10. I had a lot of ideas in the last few week on some things I would like to recreate in Cities XL. Unfortunately, it seems that there is litte information on how players will create the content they want to add in the game. We know that MC will be responsible to integrate the content in the game, but the part I'm looking information on are details like what tools creators will have to use (Integrated BAT, downloadable 3D software), will there be textures avalaible, what liberty will the creators have on their buldings' functions and propreties Also, I was wondering if it's possible to hope that players might be able to create their own "filler" textures between lots? Is there anybody having information about these issues? Thanks! Micro-editorial here : I really hope that MC will release a software as simple as Google Sketchup to make our own buildings!

    One thing I would like to change : the population within houses. When you place one single house, your population increase of 20 new citizens... More realistic population figures would be great, something like : - Low density residential = +5 - Medium density residential = +20 to +50 - High density = +100 to +250

    Bus = Planet Offer. No Po = No bus. Period. I'm kinda tired to hear the same complains all over again... I mean, it you believed that the game had mass transit in it without the PO andbuyed it, that's your problem!

    Well, for the lack of micro-management, this bus system is filling the void! It looks great! Althrough I have some interrogations on the bus system right now - What about transfers between bus lines? Can a citizen transfer bus lines at the terminal? What about transferring when two lines cross each other and share a stop together? - Can a line pass by multiple terminals to link terminals to each other? I hope you guys at MC already tought about these questions...

    Ah come on guys! Mass transit = Planet Offer! Stop complaining about it and buy the Planet Offer! Too tight finance? Then go back to Sc4 and let people who enjoy the concept actually enjoying it, or accept the fact that you play solo with a game without all of the options! It's a company and like other companies, they enjoy having profits at the end of their fiscal year, trying to do that by putting video games on the market. You bought the game? Then you accept the deal that most of the new options weren't to be free of charges if you want them (A little research before buying a game never killed anyone!)     Sure, but depots are not necessarly linked to the bus lines. Depots are interesing only if you don't need each line to start and/or end in a depot. If you have to make every bus line stopping by a depot, I think this would be a mistake because it wouldn't be realistic at all : all buses system that I know can work with exchange and transfert points, but also without them : transfers are made where the line you want to transfer on is crossing the line you are on actually.     Depots? Ow, that's bad! Like a bus network absolutely need some kind of terminals to work! In Montreal, bus lanes are mostly related to subway stations, who acts like littte bus depots to ease transferts between buses and subway. « Real » bus depots are rare, only in the last stations of subway lines or on major ones. I would love to buy content pack 3 for Solo Mode and if it is bundled with 1&2 I would be willing to pay $20 (or even the US equivalent of 20 euros).     @littlesquare.dot I was speaking about the concept of first language : the one you speak in your family, that you've been raised with. Anyway, my point is that managing dozens of chats to accomodate every language spoken in countries where people might have acces to a computer is possible but asks for ressources MC might not have.     According to Wikipedia (numbers are from a christian organization stdying languages in the world), there is 100 native languages spoken by more than 5 million people in the world. English is 3rd, French is 15th and German is 10th. Dutch is 42th. I know that these numbers are not perfect : English and French are the second language of many people around the world. The United Nations have 6 official languages (Arabic, Chinese, English, French, Russian, Spanish) Monte Cristo chose 3 languages. If they have to open chatrooms for every languages in the world, even if it's only the one with millions speakers... well, I just don't think that they have the ressources to manage that! No offense, but they made their bed with English, French and German, I think that we have to respect that.
