I stopped using the MM because of that issue. A while back I used to use a free utility called Magic Prefs that allows customization of MM gestures, : http://magicprefs.com Perhaps this will help.

Deal-breaker if true. Is that merely your experience or is that a confirmed bug? -
MODs for AppStore version of SimCity 4 for Mac
bluegoose replied to WillNeedham's topic in SC4 Mac Users
Years of playing on a Bootcamp/WinXP partition has given me an enormous plugins folder, including NAM. Pretty psyched about getting most of it to the Mac. Barely started adding a few lots at a time and it seems the plugins folder has reached a maximum size (1.4 GB) that won't cause the game to crash upon launch. If anybody has some insight to what the problems may be please do share. -
SimCity 4: Deluxe Edition Makes Triumphant Return to the Mac
bluegoose replied to NCGAIO's topic in SC4 Mac Users
Just a suggestion: A new thread for NAM for Mac. I can't offer any technical support to get NAM working on Mac OSX; all I know is It's not working on My Mac (despite removing NetworkAddonMod_Bridges_Plugin_Controller.dat) and I want NAM in my SC4 world!!!! -

Anybody tell me how to rotate lots when plopping them on a MacBook Pro keyboard? -

Question about the file extractor like Wine, Crossover et al: Do you download an .exe to the Mac and run the software there? Or do you have to do this on Windows? I do already have a nice pluggin and NAM architecture going on my bootcamp partition; could I just import all of that into the SC4 for OSX? Or a more simple question might be-can I continue my created cities/regions from Windows by importing it all to the fresh Mac version I just downloaded? Very excited by this! -
Sorry-should have specified that I was referring to SimCity 4 Deluxe for Mac; that CD ROM shipped without the ability to toggle grid view off. No update was issued to my knowledge.
-
Since Maxis never deemed it worth their time to update SC4 to allow players to turn off grid view I'm not holding onto any hope this will be with getting into.

I'm running OSX (Leopard) and have no issues with graphics. I don't wish to send you down a rat hole but have you pondered the graphics card you're using? According to C-Net: http://reviews.cnet.com/graphics-cards/ati-radeon-hd-2600/4505-8902_7-32489776.html ATI Radeon HD 2600 XT The good:Excellent HD video image quality; easy installation with no internal cable connections. The bad:Subpar 3D performance, even for a midrange 3D card. The bottom line: If you're looking to build a home theater PC, we recommend ATI's Radeon HD 2600 XT as the midrange card to use, thanks to its nearly perfect HD video image and its no-fuss installation. But for 3D gaming, you'd be much better off looking for a good deal on a faster, older graphics card.

On Fox News: If a news outlet waves a national flag, at all times, in the corner of the TV screen, it's probably a nationalistic mouthpiece.

I'm offering a $100 bounty for a patch. Seriously.

You could try checking the box in settings for minimal effects. That removes the grid for me. I hope that works for you.

I'm at a complete loss as how to install NAM (Mac Version). Anyone care to post instructions? Thanks
-
Thank You! A graphic description, what a differnece it makes. I got a screen shot-now it's time to do it right. After five years of tearing out my hair playing SC4 on PC, I have finally sucked it up and moved my game to my prefered platform. Not to mention how silky-smooth SC4 operates on a Mac Pro with 2-3.2 Quad Core Xeons and 4 GB of RAM. Sorry, just had to exalt; sometimes it seams too good too be true. Well, posting screenshots like that is such an immense help and, once again, thanks Zelgadis.

Anyone tried juicing the Landmarks, like Seoul City Hall and the Parthanon, and successfully plopped them into your city?
-
Thanks. Perhaps it is a case of dumb-luck, but I placed the entire NAM for Mac folder into my Plugins folder. Everythng is working correctly. I know I'm coming across as dense (perhaps deserved) but I have been all over the read me docs and did not see any instructions for Mac.
