New follower of your cj here. I love your simplistic style. And your use of dirt roads all over the place. Cant wait to see a bigger town grow soon with some bigger churches, Maybe even a cathedral!

Here are a few from my city. Its loosely based off Boston, but with a lot of European inspiration.

Nice to see, Brings back memories of long hours in my childhood home playing simcity 3000 . i remember how it always seemed like my cities where dark and grey in that game.

awesome use of sunken avenuse and railroads. and also very nice with all the space in your cities, i would say it looks very green, but with that amount of highways it wouldnt make any sense to call it green but very pretty at anyrate.

love your cities, very simalier to my own. but i wonder how people get around your cities? i cant see any real public transport systems? thats always the biggest problem in my cities. no matter how many trains and busses i have, people still complain about long commute times and to much traffic

Samsø. its an Ø, as we say in danish, an island. it sits at the entrace of Ørsund. the Bay in which all my cities are in. it started like this lower class fishing town. and developed into this and them came some sky scrapers a good rail system sim nice city blocks and some parks and windmill spotted high tech industrial port of course its high tech, this being an organic society. and here are some more random im to tired to write anything more REMEMBER . . . its a modest place very hyggeligt, kinda like the place your hippie grandma lives. the grow there own veggies sleeping in the tall beds several feet above the ground,! its starting we have very big windmils in skive and lots of them. good port facilities rail roads of course i like rail roads i think i should build more railroads in the future. and more random remember every thing is of course organic Øko forever FCK and thats a football team and we are floating away until our heads explode

Hello Fellow Simcity lover. i discovered simcity way back when. i think i was about 6 and bought sim city 2000.(which i beleive came out in 1996) i got hooked. and played simcity 2000,3000, and simcity 4 none stop for many years. about 2 years ago i started working as a cook. and i worked 13-17 hours a day almost every day. this meant i coulndt find time to play and as time went on i lost interest. until a week ago. I no longer longer work so much (got F***ed over by my old boss) and i am for the next few weeks on vacation in a part of Denmark called Thy. i have lots of free time here so i have started playing simcity again. Im not very good at posting fancy pictures or making fancy headlines or anything like that but i think i am pretty good at playing simcity. although i most say from looking at other city journals it looks like costum buildings and modding has come very far in the last two years. This City journal is about my rediscovery of sim city. about how my style of building and eye for detail will develop as i begin playing again. i am very bad a spelling in danish and english so you will have to bear with me if i cant figure out how to spell some things. To start with i will post a few picture from my old cities. just to give you a taste of my SimCity style. First is the city of New Wals. One of my biggest cities. Its european and very wall to wall. And then from another city called Belfast. Its not as big. but much greener. also european. i only make european style. Hope you all liked it.

i have but one thing to say today Its now or never well i have more to say i remember why i stopped playing simcity a couple years ago. this stupid game crashes all the time. but alas.. i will prevail Im experimenting more with rural towns. since i find myself out in the country side all i need is to look out the window for inspiration. and my city/land in simcity actually looks very much like what i see outside some windmills. wich are alot noisier then one thinks some more country side. i beet its a nice peacfull place heres a little country side town. pretty church i have also tried taking a closer look at New Wals here are some close up scenes around town looks rather berlin/copenhagen like. But there are of course also some larger buildings around here and finally her is a map of new wals semi old but i will update it soon. and now we float away like a ballon in the wind

New Wals Do i need to say more. Its the city where every one has a place to stay, and certainly something to say. It has an old soul, deeply rooting into to ground, but from these roots come fresh new trees which bring fresh green leaves. On the horizen you can see the future, but only if you can comprehend what has been. the organic soceity will live strong, as long as we have a place to bond. i want to make myself very clear. im not a vegitarien. im not vegan. and if you come anywhere close to me with "raw food" ill shoot you with a flare gun. i love a nice big hunk of meat. but only if the cow/lamb/pig gets real food. fight the power from within, vote radikal. this is my home. without i would be nothing but a gnome atleast i have a phone. there watching. with intentions in there eyes. there still watching. remember who you were before you met them. once you become one of them, they will take everything you have to give them one might think i sound like i have some screws lose in my head. we all need an outlet. It seems people are afraid of me. i must break the ice, Today, im going to a 7 hour long class about first aid. then im getting a drivers license thats it. the ice is melting....

here are some quick pictures no real explanation. ive started playing in a small region. so my computer can take it. my goal is to build a metropolitan area. with rural and city landscapes. its an idealic world. there is no money here. well thats to say that they dont worry about money. wealfare society you could call it. always vote radikal. i have been playing sim city for about 6 years now. but a couple months ago i restarted my computer and completly wiped out all my stuff. alsmot the same day i ruined my sim city cd and wasent able to instal it. that really sucked. but about 2 days ago i finally went down to my local fona( danish electronics store) and bought a new simciy4 game for the big price of 99 kroner. i then got home and installed it and was very excited to play sim city for the first time in months. but when i launched the game it wouldnt work. i get that first scene with the bridge over water without any land to be seen. then i get to the part where your mouse cursor changes to that wierd maxis cursor. then i see the ea games logo for just a second. then it freezes and quits without saying a word. now im pretty good at computers, not the best, but pretty good. and i have searched through my hard drive twice over to find maybe so old instalation file or something that is messing with the game but i cant figure it out. i have even tried un installing it and re installing it 6 times but still wont work. so please. if you have any idea what i need to do to get my game to work then please tell me cause i desperatly want to build a city. thanks in advance -alex

my computer is compaq evo. windows xp proffesional version 2002 service pack 2 intel pentium 4 2.40GHz 504mb ram the game is simcity 4 deluxe and came in one of those EA games classics box

i love european style cjs so much that i have decided to make my own i have been playing simcity since my 6th birthday when my mother bought me the original simcity. a few years later i got simcity2000 and a few years after that i got 3000. i got simcity4 for my 12 birthday and was not that amazed because it laged to much on ly computer. then this chrismas finally after 6 years of begging my mom got me a new(ish) sony viao computer. i also go simcty 4 deluxe since i had lost my old version of sim city. every since then i have been obsesed with the game and have downloaded 2 gigabytes of mods on to my game. (i dont use all of it though)and i cant imagine playing original simcity 4 with out the mods. any way on to the cj valdonia is my brothers made up world. this is kinda his la la land but he also makes lego stuff for it and plays with toy cars and makes maps of it and even goes so far as to go outside and pretend to fight for valdonias independence(in the snow pretending tennis rackets are tommy guns from ww2). so when he does all this i then try to make his cities for him. i have been working all winter and i think that i am ready to start a cj. first the capital of Valdonia is Christania, a city in the mountins with around 100,000 people(for now) it also has a larger city called Ordese with for now 200,000 people but growing fast. Ordese it the commercial capital of the county and has the largest airport . another city is Alborg alborg also has about 200,000 people and is the oldest it also has a large port and home to alot of farmland here are a few teaser shots of Christania to start

all i can say is one word industry build dirty industrie outside of town this will help boost residential demand and your pop will grow if you want high tech place parks in and around the indusry and itt should turn to high tech another thing you could do is place some ploppable buildings in the town and this will incourage growth hope it helps
