Simpeg Productions - Farewell

Oh no, this is sad news, it was a great website with great content, sorry to hear about the loss. 

I'm glad that I downloaded everything from that site,

 

And yet another great addition to the SC4 realm now in the history books.  So sad and I to am glad I ROUTINELY back up my Plugins and downloads for this very reason; don't know what ya got til it's gone.

I'm so sorry to hear that the great works of Pegasus are gone.  Simcities 4 will just not be the same . Thanks, Peg, for all of the terrific buildings and lots that you've contributed over the years. You made playing the game fun and challenging.

Bad news.  Such great contributions but I'm sure that many players (like myself) have downloaded some or all of the content so those great works will live on.

I sure have not been keeping up with current affairs.  This is terrible news.  I have collected a lot of Pegasus' content over the years and it was his seaports and old wooden waterfronts that initiated my need for great custom content.

Perhaps we could compile a user database on the STEX or LEX to save some of the content.

Fortunately most of the PLEX content already existed on the STEX in some form. So most of this has now been moved to a new section managed by the SimPeg staff.

There are plans for these to be updated, such as to remove the old installers and distribute the files in plain zip format (making it easier for Mac users). Also any other files may also be added later on, as Craig explained here. It'll be a long process, but one which can hopefully preserve this content for the community, and keep it accessible.

That's insane!  A huge blow to people playing SimCity4.  So many things trace back to SimPeg packs.  Unfortunate blow but hopefully most of the content survives on STEX or LEX.

How about the STEX DVD's that simtropolis has been offering for years? Did those DVD's ever have any of the simper libraries on them? Is there no hope?

Oh wow that sucks, I haven't really played much SC4 as of late, especially with CS now being the new shiny toy and all, but I hope that it doesn't die out.
