Although this is an interesting concept, and i look forward to seeing what people come up with, i have some questions.  Some of your stipulations seem needlessly constrictive.   Why?  Mandating the use of a particular deciduous tree immediately limits the scope of natural ecosystems, ruling out a plethora of possibilities, thus greatly limiting submitters' creative license   Also, requiring something that has a 55Mb dependency for a tiny tree that can appear exactly once seems a little silly.   Again, this seems to greatly impede possibilities.  Yes you can do some interesting things at zoom 6, but it's not the best for showing off a natural scene.  When combined with this point...   ...it's a little odd.  What's the reason it needs to be so wide?  When posted in your column space, the site software will shrink it down anyways.  In effect, the submitted 2048x1536 zoom 6 will be little different than an 800x600 zoom 4 except for the slight deviation in perspective angle.  Even when we click it to view full size, i doubt many people are running a screen resolution to see a 2048 wide image in all it's majesty on a single screenwidth.  So why do you want such wide images?   Just curious to understand the reasoning and purpose behind your rules.  Thanks,

The thing that amazes me most, is not only that you jam pack every photo with detail leaving nothing out of place, creating a bustling look without being overwhelming, but rather that this fantastic entry has ONE HUNDRED AND TWENTY entries preceding it of equal quality. You are one of the site's favourite CJers, and I always look forward to each new work with an inherent curiosity that can be only satisfied when I scroll through and take it all in. If I could even capture just one-tenth of your work, I could not be made happier.  Pure beauty.

The grittiness of street level industrial railways, the concrete clad expressways as well as the griddy sprawl really screams at me. It's a very particular style of building and you've proven yourself well. Easily one of my favourite updates this week.

Incredible. I don't think I've seen a more realistic water mod. And the rail curving through the topography is very pleasing to the eye - I want to be on a train travelling through there right now!

Thanks a lot for the comments, as soon as I have the time, I'll check your CJs ! Is it possible not to have the pictures resized ? (I guess not but well..) Here is the download link to the Marina LOTs ! I work on the LOTs for me, and just upload them for thoose who are interested ! Dependencies (.desc for models as props are included) BSC CAL props (Boats) BSC CP props (Trees) BSC swi21 props (Boxes, this prop was not really needed, but you'll need it... Sorry ) BSC Mattb325 props (Trees, Statue) CSX props (Boats) JS props (Seawalls for some corner LOTs, theese LOTs are not the bests so not really needed) Peg props (Boats, Docks) Vip props (Cars) Nams props (People / Buildings / Stuff) Wmp props (Seawalls / Textures / Stuff) Youcef props (Buildings) ITS props (Cafe table & planter) R6 props (Buildings) Stuff = You better download all the props from the creator ! I think that's all. Exept for Youcef models that are not officially released yet (He is still not answering me, but coming soon) and the tower from Namspopof that will be released in his next prop pack ! Good news, I now focus my LE work on fewer prop packs, so it will be easier. (But not today !) It looks awesome! The questions are obvious now... "Where can we get it?" or "Have you BATted it by yourself?"

Epic! My brain was positively turned into an omelet by the awesomeness contained within! If only you could have worked "omelet" into your paragraph up there, it would be complete. Purr-fect, even. Even so, I award you 5 stars for this thoroughly engaging tale. Please tell me you plan on an international release, including a big, star-studded premier in Port Matthew .

The city and effects go hand in hand amazingly! :D I'm really getting this surreal and very captivating feeling from your images. They look amazingly realistic with the effects and city layout you've presented.

The LOTing is quite nice, though a few parts don't make sense. What's with the chimney in the middle of the park? And it seems quite awkward that there are trails leading to nowhere, while the areas that people would usually walk on have nothing but grass.   But overall, I think that it's looking good. (The lightning effects are impressive)

There may seem to be some confusion in thinking that the criteria is the rules. The criteria is not the rules. The criteria will change for each tournament, and all the criteria including image size, zoom level, night/day, what specific buildings/trees (if any) must appear in the scene, etc. will be chosen by the winner of the previous tournament. Obviously, I have chosen the criteria for the first round as there are no previous winners, and it may seem a little constrictive, but I wanted to make it somewhat 'challenging' since this is a challenge.    For example, it's like someone gives you three specific items, and says go create something out of these three things. That is much more challenging and requires even greater creativity than if someone says go make something out of anything (which I feel would be the case if it was just a nature scene of any size, any zoom level, and any content).    2048x1536 pixels is just 4 1024x768 images stitched together. Zoom level 6 is more challenging because it may require the creator to seek out content that is in 'HD' and not pixellated at zoom level 6, like the JENX Paris tree. There is MMP content out there that looks good at zoom level 6.    That is why it's called a challenge...because if it was too simple and too free to do whatever you want...well we already all do that in our own CJs where we are free to make whatever we want out of anything. That's not to say this wouldn't still work and still be fun if this had less criteria, and I am open to that.

Youve done a fantastic job buttttt I think the biggest improvement you could do would be to get yourself a slope mod for your railways and roads. Other then that loving the single track!

Ok... I like the city itself... but not as New York City. The thing is, New York is not full of skyscrapers, and people always for some reason like to build the city full of skyscrapers. Second, too much repetition... gotta control that, the thing is... when the repetition appears on low rises... it doesnt stand out as much as a skyscraper, so watch that. Also, there is a mod in the Stex for "0" height bridges, that way, you dont have to have the bridges on thos ugly slopes. Third and last, gotta be careful with the kind of buildings you use. The thing with that is... You cant have an art deco bldg next to an Arab bldg, it constrasts a lot, hence making the picture too much unrealistic. Now, as I said at first, I like the city as itself, missing some details, but I like the concept, on the other hand... careful with styles... more mods an try to build less skyscrapers and more midrises to adopt a more realistic city.

Wow, this entry was amazing. It's kinda like when you're traveling to a coastal town from a major city, and as you get closer to the coastline, there are more palm trees, high-rises transition into one or two-story buildings which then transition into marshes and sand dunes, and you finally reach mile marker 0 right next to the ocean. I always tried to put that feeling into my coastal metropolises and I couldn't quite get it right. Yet I see you've mastered it. A trillion googolplex out of 5!!!
