As tourism is booming in Principauté de Caravella-Guatalaga, the number of hotel rooms is also increasing rapidly in Port de Caravella. Various hotels have opened in recent years with big chains like Hyatt, Mercure and Holiday Inn trying to get a fair share of the tourism market. One of the fine exceptions to these chains is the Victoria Hotel located at Place Victoria. The hotel originally opened in 1788 and is a landmark building ever since. Today, Hotel Victoria is located at the point where both Light Rail lines (Ligne Bleu and Ligne Rouge) come together ... but more on that in a later update.

Since 2007, the Grand Hyatt Hotel is located next door to Hotel Victoria.

Another addition to the booming tourist industry is the Spring Mall, located on the west side of the old city. The mall holds 78 different Retail stores, including brands like Zara, Mango, Media Markt, H&M and a Coca-Cola brand store.
Across from the Spring Mall is the CBS (Caravella Broadcasting Service) building. All national TV and radio stations are located within this building.

But if you are a tourist and want to escape all of this, then Plage de Petite Baie is the place to go. Although being one of the smallest beaches in the country it's less touristic as the bigger beaches and usually occupied by the locals that live in the old town.

If you like it, let me know!
