Ionica - The University That Never Was

Around 6 months ago I was working on a University which I later abandoned in favor of other projects thinking I would finish it later. As my skill progressed and I acquired new BATs I realized that my grand vision for a top class University could not be achieved with my current layout and eventually decided to scrap the project and start again.
While gathering material for my next batch of CJ entries I realized it would be a shame to let all this hard work go to waste so I've decided to show you the incomplete and obsolete version of Ogma University.
Ogma, in Irish-Celtic mythology, is the god of eloquence and learning.

The motto under the coat of arms reads: Mindful of what has been done, aware of what will be.
The initial inspiration for this University is from places like Oxford, Yale, and Harvard. I want the center of the campus to look old and almost like a Victoria era garden. I really want the feel that this is a University that has grown over time and the further out you go the more modern the buildings are. The buildings and parks I am using in the central campus area are from the Clayhurst Starter Pack.

One of the main reasons I'm restarting the University is because I think things are packed in too tightly. The grounds need to be bigger and some buildings like the castle and monastery need to have a little more room.

Here you can see some of the more modern lecture halls. I didn't spend enough time thinking about which building should go where and why based on which department or faculty they belong to. In my next iteration I'm going to have different areas for each discipline.

This is the sports area of my University. Once again it just isn't big enough and doesn't feature enough facilities. I have a swimming pool and a stadium but I need a few more outdoor fields for soccer, football, and tennis.

When I started building this tile I wanted my University to be in the middle of another dense urban area, but I've decided that since it is further away from the center of the city I will make the area taper off to more low density residential. I'm also hoping that by the time I restart construction I have RHW.

I'd like to hear your comments and suggestions. Maybe there is a great BAT you know of that I could include or you can tell about design elements you think I should keep or get rid of. Thanks. Replies section will return next week.
