Wow... all of those, everyone, stunning. I can tell lots of work went into every corner of every city. 4.gif

Anyway, big work going on in the capitol city. But no close-ups, just a couple region views.

Eventually the highway will continue all the way around the lake. Most of the system is sunken, but basically what I have left to do there will be elevated. There will be a cloverleaf to the southwest of the lake, nice little highway mess hopefully.

As for Riverbend... not quite sure, it will be more subburban though, add in a nice big shopping center.

Oh, right, the capitol city downtown will be right on the lake where it bumps in, and then will flow back all the way to the highway on the right, and go over the middle highway to the further back one. Of course the skycrapers will all be focused on the lake area, the rest will be mid-rise buildings. Still have to get the HSR network through there and tunnel the rail network into the terminal.

Here is downtown Astoria. Astoria is one of Carson City's neighbouring cities.

And now, downtown Riverside. Another one of Carson City's neighbouring cities.

Extremely realistic, Selles. I can't wait till you start a CJ. That is a great city.

So many cemetaries!

I don't use the graves becuase of the Haloween sounds it generates every October. And it's not a holiday in the UK, or in India.

The noises from the cemeteries are caused by the ghost and zombie effect props on the lots. Just remove the props from the lots and they will go away.

Here's my city, Cancer Centauri. It's a work in progress.

cancercentaurida3.jpg

Obviously, it sucks compared to everyone else's city, which are awesome cities. This, and all my other cities I make are pure SC4 deluxe edition-made, meaning no addons or plugins.

Ach... Who cares about what everyone else is doing? This thread is for showing your best work and getting complimented on it, not for selling yourself short, and your work is pretty darn good. Considering you aren't using plugins or mods, it's that much better.

Love your style PlutonianEmpire, lots of dirty Industry! Oooh, gotta love that smog.

Wonder if somebody could change the colour of the smog from Yellow to black or grey... be abit more realistic imho.

Or at least direct me to it if the mod already exists :s

smog is actually yellowish. couple centuries ago it was black/grey because it was mostly soot, but today there are alot of sulphur compounds which gives it that yellow haze look.

Heres Pisces Centauri:

piscescentauri2jq8.jpg

It looks good, but sadly, you can see the signs of trouble--abandoned buildings. And that's the tip of the iceberg. There's a healthcare strike, long commute times, terrible traffic, and a 8,000 simoleon deficit--I have to rely on skywriting for Dr. Vu to keep myself in office (using the money cheat got tiresome). And yes, this is a volcanically active region, as you can tell by the 3 volcanoes here and another 3 (only 1 visible and another partly visible) in Cancer Centauri.

lol, stupid me... I should have known that. Theres a factory a few miles from my house that gives off a lot of sulphur fumes. I just though, you know, black smog would make a change.
