What exactly is wrong with TJD's CJ-Edmonton? I don't recall him reporting to me anything, so I'm not sure what there is to repair.. it looks fine to me.. so I must be missing something.quote>

Just go there and you will see... The pages are messed up, and Thats WHY TJD does not want to post nd update it anymore 15.gif ... He has 999 posts, and he wanted to make his 1000 post with a great update there or sth, but if it's "broken" (the CJ), so he cannot do that...

What a Shame for 5.0 22.gif

Just a note to all the Mac users (yeah, all 5 of you).....Safari cannot cope adequately with the Forum post file upload facilty but IE works fine, in case anyone else was having problems...not a problem that needs fixing (as it is a browser problem, not a ST one), but I thought it would be prudent to point it out in this thread. Please feel free to flame me for it!!!

Hello Dirk:

 quote from Dirk

"What exactly is wrong with TJD's CJ-Edmonton? I don't recall him reporting to me anything, so I'm not sure what there is to repair.. it looks fine to me.. so I must be missing something."

Same thing with the home page of ST for me, But not all the time; once two days ago 4/21 and right at this very moment, doing it again.

The scrolling header is middle page instead of at top, below ST header.

The current Comment at left, is showing the html in a white box. The other day (4/21), I saw all kinds of scripts instead of the content at ST home. Thought someone had made me a moderator or something, but didn't tell me. hehee.

EDIT: PC WinXP IE php normally no problems at all in many php forums.

Tried refreshing....hmm,... I will do what I did the other day and see if it works; I logged off on 4/21 and re-logged in and all was well. Maybe justa coincidence though....BRB.

SECOND EDIT: well maybe I am just banging heads with daily Homepage additions, etc, but logging off and back on; now the homepage of ST is perfect again!

Play with the EDIT Button too much:

Topic of the moment at left, was showing the html codes instead of the effects on the fonts.

All is still good. I am gonna go check out Edmonton CJ. Can't hurt to see, what my rig shows me.

I had this earlier. The forum software often has trouble determining where you posted.

Okay: I visited City Of Edmonton CJ and wow! TJD has an eye for attractive presentation!

I see what he is talking about now from his last post on page 58 or 59.

As for the Homepage: It is doing it again. Looks to be Javascript issue, on my side maybe.

Heck though; i still like the new ST better than the old 4.0. Look at all the nice new features!

Once you get it all figured out, it is pretty nice to use.

ST is still, at the top of the foodchain, when it comes to forum features and function.

*I am a forum addict*

EDIT: After reading through the previous pages; I think poor Dirk is getting swamped!

For the record; I am happy and patient. Quick reply, works fine for me as of just an hour ago or so.

MORE EDITING: Okay, the Topic Of The Moment box to the left is too wide and breaks into the articles and scrolling replies, seperating them to the bottom of the page, below the rest of total HP content.

My browser window is maximized at monitor view of 768x1048. So that shouldn't cause it. Maybe it is just maintainence issues for now.

SG's Making a functional Landmark Tutorial may be back, but I cannot seem to find it with out a link.....okay, okay.. I know; use the search box. BRB...

Okay, I am back and SimGoobers Functional Landmarks tutorial, is working and displaying perfectly.

Home page is not. hehee.

He says he's asked SkiGeek multiple times to fix it, but I guess she never responded or something. I dunno.

He and I have talked about it a few times.  There are posts that were in his CJ that aren't there anymore.  I'm guessing that they are from the people who seemed to have disappeared during the conversion.    If I knew a way to insert posts, blank or not, in the middle of a thread, I'd do it. but, so far, I don't see a way.  Dirk's to-do list is very long.  We are dealing with things as best we can.

Hmm... in other forum softwares, you usually have the ability to merge threads, that's the closest you'd come I think. But it would be exceedingly difficult to merge them into the places you want, not to mention you'd lose those independant threads in their respective forums.

Couldn't this all be fixed with the new CJ section that you're doing?

True.  the whole CJ section is going to be re-done.

Just had this on a forum search:

Error:#

The argument FTARG_DATE passed to function ConvertTime() is not of type date. If the component name is specified as a type of this argument, the reason for this error might be that a definition file for such component cannot be found or is not accessible.

The error occurred on line 115.

Also, a thread seems to have disappeared, after I posted I can't find it anymore.

SkiGeek: Yepperie, Dirks to do list just keeps getting longer also.

Hopefully, those posting here about bugs, understand that this will take a bit of time to fix everything.

I am having a trouble free experience as of today. Homepage is all good  too. here Dirk; munch on this leftover bunny from easter  35.gif and take a little break.

I have also noticed that. It currently says there is only one person in chat although actually there are seven people in there.

I've been having problems uploading a new avatar.  It comes up with some sort of Java error.  Running Firefox on Windows XP SP2.

Edit:  Never mind.  I was being oblivious and failed to notice the new avatar I was trying to upload was too large.  I have successfully loaded up my new avatar (which isn't much different than the old one.)

hey folks, got a very wierd problem with my signature:

since I am only seeing my banner ONCE, everyone else is seeing it TWICE.

I really have no idea what this is all about.

it all started with that the banner totally disappeard from my signature and I thought of another server issue at imageshack, so I loaded it up again to have a backup copy.

now I've opened the editor, cut the entire part where the pic is and replaced it with the new one (to make sure a completely new pic is there). ok, so good so fine.

then sloppet noticed me that I have twice the banner in my sig.

so i checked for it and saw that It's only one.

now, can someone help me?

because, the very very wierd thing, as the banner didn't work, there was not even a broken link sign.

it was just as if there is nothing at all in the browser window as well as in the editor at the profile section...

I hope you can help me before i get into trouble for something that i obviously can't fix

well, here's the screeny of what I am seeing:

screen8is.jpg

EDIT: problem solved, it was my fault because I was unable to see the pic anymore and did not cut it correctly.

but maybe you should keep an eye on equal errors, because the very wierd thing was that the link to the old image was broken for me so the pic did not show up on my pc, but on everyone elses pc it does...

OK, who broke the STEX? Uploaded Bates Mansion earlier tonight and the uploaded pictures aren't showing and now can't even download the zip file. I tried to edit it all, but that does nothing, so I'm kinda stumped. However, it would appear as if it works for some people. Any clues?

one thing - this has prolly been raised before, but you switched the strings in the PM system for Read and Unread messages - after clicking the "Mark All As Read" button, all messages display as unread, but do not flash. Likewise, new PMs do flash, but they display as read.

Just a nitpick, but it really bugs me.

I have a little nitpicky error too. Every time I upload to the STEX it initially tells me that the Description is missing, even if it's there.

Oh, and one I noticed late last night. If you are on your STEX profile page and enter a string into the search box to the left, when you press Enter or click on Search it tells you to select a .JPG image to upload! Guess the script at that point can't determine which input box it is meant to be using.
