Howdy yall! Me llamo El_Muchacho! Im a true red white and blue american teenager living in a wasteful suburban sprawl neighborhood in the Midwest. I like to eat ice cream and party, sometimes at the same time. I've been playing vanilla SC4 for the past year until i found the SC4D and her magical wonders. Ive been over there lurking around and ive been hearing about a promised land known as "Simtropolis", and like any good teenager, i googled it and wala! I'm here! Im currently working on an MD (coming soon).

Hello again Simtropolis.

I'm David91 (or as you can probably guess, David). Ive been on here in a number of forms from the very start of simtropolis (i believe i originally joined about 8 months after the site started) and so im not a completely new member. But i did think it was time for a fresh start so i've created a new account not littered with replies and topics from a 14 year-old's mind.

I'm heavily into 3ds Max design, so hopefully i'll start working on a few BAT's quite soon (please look out for those). Currently im in college in the UK studying for my A-levels, but i hope to go into Computer Networks after my university degree (which starts in september).

So yeah... i thought i'd introduce myself and formally kick things off.

Hi! I am a Mom, 32 years old, however, I am posting for my son who is 6.5 years old, he is IN LOVE, and dang good at the game I might say! He surpased my dear Hubby who started out showing my son the ropes, he flies by my hubby all of the time! LOL!

Anyway, he has a really great apptitude for computers and electronics, and LOVES anything to do with traffic, transportation, etc, which when he found out he could build his own city, wow, talk about excitement! I am happy we all found this game, and this forum too, because there are not many things my son feels he is awesome at (even though he IS), he feels very confident when playing this game (and other city games, however SC4D is his fav by far...)...he has Autism, which I believe really helps him at a young age at this game, being able to concentrate on the details, something sometime interferes in 'real life' really helps him in the game..

Anyway, we just now discovered this site, and are having a BLAST at finding various downloads to add to the game...we are in process of downloading the NAM, and other buildings/etc....

..if anyone has any cool beginner tips, or cant live without downloads, please share them with us! My son will be asking more questions I am sure, but I (MOM) will always be guiding him here, so if its a post by us, rest assured I am typing/reading for him...thanks!

Angie

Ohayo gozaimas!

My name's Kwong, and I am a student looking to study Mathematics in due time. I currently live in Malaysia, but I'm looking forward to apply at a university in the UK. 4.gif

I started playing Sim City 3000 since 2004 when I was introduced by my sister. Since then, I moved on playing Sim City 4, Rush Hour expansion, Societies, and the latest Cities XL. I was always a careless city planner, really! But as I moved on, I learnt more about a lot of things that these games have to offer.

I haven't thought of running a CJ here, cause most of my Sim City 4 cities are pretty awful-looking (I know, call me a bad city planner, but hey I'm learning!). Cities XL which supports curved roads has given me an edge in making a more realistic city. In the end, I have started my first CJ called Whisper Hills. You can find it here.

I do play online games, but I also like all kinds of Japanese puzzles. At the same time, I'm a fan of some Korean songs. 9.gif

I found this site last year since I keep getting boring buildings, and it is a great site indeed! I've downloaded a couple of mods and buildings, and these made my SC4 cities look much diverse!

Hello! Name's Hafidh, live in Bandung, Indonesia. I'm a 3D modeler for Google Earth. Playing Sim City 4 for years. Not playing SC4 anymore, but I miss this game again.

I'm a bit into 3dsmax (not too interested, for me it's too difficult compared to Sketchup but rendering quality is very good). I make real buildings in Google Earth using Sketchup. Currently making Jakarta and other Indonesian cities (mainly Jakarta). You can view my 3d buildings in Google Earth. Enough said.

Nice to meet you!!

Dear Angie,

That is the nicest thing I have ever heard about SC4, when you say that it can help to cheer up your little boy and make him more confident! Welcome to Simtropolis and may you both have a wonderful time here! 1.gif

Hey everyone,

My name is Conor (27 yrs old) and I have been a Sim City lover since its very first release. I used to play it growing up with my brother on a black and white screen with our old Apple! Each time a game in the Sim City series was released, I picked it up within probably the first few months and dove in full force each time! The progression from game to game has truly been outstanding and it always keeps me coming back for more.

My wife once asked me why I like SC4 so much even though there is no real way to "win." My only explanation was that the very idea that you can't "win" Sim City is why I love it so much. How the game is played is entirely up to you and seemingly endless. Even if you were to develop an entire region of cities, you could start all over with a new region and continue on and on and on. It is the very essence of the Sim City franchise and what makes me love the game dearly.

Simtropolis has greatly enhanced my passion for the game since it has unleashed an entire new world of buildings, mods, and overall improvements. THANK YOU to all who bring their talents to the STEX!!!!

I look forward to much much more!

Hi, I'm Mike.

I'm new here to Simptropolis.

I consider my self to be an expert on The Sims 2, but I had no idea that Sim City 4 had such an enormous depth as Sims 2 does even after playing SC4 so much for years.

I've been looking around the "Show US" forums and I am ver impressed and indeed inspired.  I'm in work right now but man, I can't wait to get home and do some city building; looking forward to the weekend because I'll have Sat and Sun, but also Mon since theres a bank holiday here next week, and I'm gonna spend all that time playing Sim City 4.

Thanks for reading and I look forward to being a respectful member here.

To all those amazing builders out there; please, keep me inspired.2.gif
