Hi All,

Little info about me:

Age: 36 Married & father of a wonderful 18 month baby girl.

Profession: Graphic Designer.

Location: Born & Raised in Southern California USA.

Gaming:

I played the original Simcity when it first came out, I remember the unique box & cover with a city and various buttons and knobs printed on it. I had the box and original disk for many years. Also played a little of Simcity2k.

I've recently returned to playing SimCity after many years by purchasing SimCity4 just the other day and happened along this site.

I know im way behind some of you who have been playing for SimCity4 years. I've been off playing 100's of different types of games from first person shooters to leading hundreds of players as guild leader in Massive Multiplayer Online Games such as Warcraft and those type of games. While I enjoyed the people I met online, those games can be very time consuming, lol. So I gave up all those types of games.

Recently I wished to return to a simple one player game where you had the freedom to play on/off at my own pace. Thus freeing up more of my time for real life things such as spending time with my family. Im really enjoying Simcity4 and hope to find some great tips & ideas on city building here on Simtroplolis.

Funny Story:

Back when simcity first came out (i was about 19 at the time I worked in a computer repair/sales retailer while going to college. The main tech would put simcity on one of the demo computers and let it run, he'd go fix a few computers then go check his city and repeat. This would require him to walk clear across the building. Was funny to watch him as he was a really big guy and would often get nervous as people would get "too close" to his city. After awhile the going thing around the office was how his city was doing, even some of the customers would ask...lol.

My Best wishes to all,

Guru Kismet

Hello everyone. I am Richard (the username is a shorter version of my name), and although I have been a member for a while, I have not entered forums often (mainly because of a lot of RLS). I would like to enter forums more often, and will be doing so in the near future.

Hello if I haven't met you before.

Most of our regulars do get affected by Real-life problems and it isn't their fault. And RLS is not your fault.
