Today at TV1 City: Trade Contracts, Stock and Production

Historically most of Bounty Islands exports have been aimed at a few global companies, picking up Bounty Export Goods at Bounty Bay Trade Pier or South Industrial Harbor. Mondelez International, Nestle, Unilever, Danone Group, IKEA and other large companies with their own sales structure and transport systems.  But the Foreign Ministry has, over the years, also from time to time negotiated contracts directly with the receiver nations, aiming for political goodwill in combination with a good trade deal. Here is a mention of some larger deals:

One trade contract prior to 1980 is worth a mention, as it is the only one with a substantial financial impact. It was a meat contract with United Kingdom, Bounty Islands delivered 795 ton of meat, over a 40 years period, with a total contract value of 58.935 coins. Between 1980 and 2000 two contracts is worth mentioning. In a processed food contract with Italy, Bounty Islands delivered 630 ton, over 12 and a half year, with a total contract value of 65.147 coins. In a Cigar contract with United States, Bounty Islands delivered 1.025 ton, over 12 years, with a total contract value of 266.453 coins. After year 2000, three fulfilled contracts are worth a mention. In a firearm deal with France, Bounty Islands delivered 16.500 pcs. over just two months, worth 38.523 coins. In a Leather deal with China, Bounty Islands delivered 18.900 Square Yards, over 16 years, with a total contract value of 171.650 coins. In a Cigar deal with Germany, Bounty Islands delivered 600 ton, over 7 years, with a total contract value of 257.628 coin.

Bounty Islands currently got three running contracts. A fashion deal with Russia regarding the delivery of 36560 Square Yards of quality cloth at a total contract value of 168.792 coin, is 93% completed. An Oli deal with Russia regarding 3.150 Barrel at a total contract value of 41.980, is 23% completed. A Jewelry deal with Spain regarding 67.500 pcs. worth 209.115 coins is 21% completed.

R.J. Caribbean Fashion Design is about to fulfill the largest deal Bounty Islands ever made with Russia.

Today at TV1 City: Revenue, Expenses and Tourism

In today’s program we will take a look at tourism in the latest years, but also the development in income from tourism over the latest 40 years. But first a graph with the different sectors generating revenue and expenses today, compared with back in 2024.

    Yearly Balance.

What we need to consider looking at the graph below, it that Construction Cost was very high in 2024, so basically we need to add 50.000 coins to the 2024 balance, when comparing the two years. Never the less, it looks like we are out of the recession as 2038 is actually still a much better year than 2024 was. On the income side we see that there has been a major loss, clearly due to the reduction in the tobacco industry, but other sectors have filled the gap. Especially Real Estate, Finance and Tourism. The main reason for a raise in Other Income is fees from military assistance to other countries in the region, not necessarily possible most years, but not a major factor anyhow. On the expenses side the most notable different is the huge impact from a reduction in Social Costs, have to admit is makes life hard on the weakest families, but seen form a national economic angel, it was the right move to break an evil curve, combined with a temporally cut in wages. Today salaries have started to raise again, the average purchase power is actually 1,4% higher than it was in 2024.

    ALa6CqE.jpg

    Tourism since 1998

In 1998 we had Hotel & Hütten Mutter Gaia with accommodation for 24 families and Hotel America at its original location on Banana Road with accommodation for 12 families. The most important attraction was Coffee Shop and Tourist Information Tropico, taking in 1.726 coins/year. Followed by Faces of Power with 810 coins and Club Babilonia with 768 coins.

After some good years after the introduction of Hotel & Hütten Mutter Gaia a decline began after 2005, where no new accommodation was added and especially the Scandinavians, spend time elsewhere. In 2008 a motel was under construction, but not yet opened. The income from accommodation had fallen 12% since 1998, attractions fee had lost 34%. The Coffee Shop and Tourist Information Tropico, had the best revenue with 1.248 coins, closely followed by Club Babilonia (1.152 coins) Teatro De Tropico 3rd with 360 coins.

In 2018 Bounty City Motel had added accommodation for another 8 families. But it was especially attractions that had improved the tourist revenue with 53% since 2008. In 2018 The Coffee Shop and Tourist Information Tropico, had a revenue of 2.400 coins, Club Babilonia 2.321 coins, Tequesta open Temple 1.080 coins, Museo de Arte Moderno 972 coins.

Shark Beach Tourist Port was added and opened the possibility for Cruise Ship to anchor at Love Boat Bank with up to 12 rich families, having just a short speed boat trip to the port. The total number of tourists families able to visit at the same time was now 112.The highest revenue from attractions in 2028 was gourmet restaurant Cibaria Insulam with 2.400 coins, Leone Parque Acuárico with 1.530 coins, Coffee Shop and Tourist Information Tropico 1.344 and Museo de Arte Moderno 729 coins. All together attractions were on par with 2018, but accommodation revenue up with 71%.

The Yacht Club, originally meant to be a part of the Cepero Main Project, never came to existence, as its spot was used for other buildings. Bounty City’s rich private yacht owners was furious and took matters into their own hands, constructing their own marina in Bounty Bay, between the Harbor and the Shipyard.

    Jimmy Sanz, September 2038

Jimmy Sanz, the son of Carlos Sanz was born in September 1983, at the family’s house next to Purple Villa at Cattle Road, exactly 55 years ago. Growing up in upscale neighborhoods, in the fine parts of Bounty City. Jimmy got a 2nd level education diploma, from President Smirnov’s School. He left his family home in 2002. Moving into a simple apartment at Plateau Village, getting his first job at the Llama Ranch in Plateau Village. In 2024 he got a new job at Industri Zone Rescue. Where he met Francois Moreau also a firefighter. They immediately fell in love and married in 2025 moving into a an old quite bad apartment on Ruben Ruiz Beach Road. Jimmy’s father died in December 2026. In 2028 the couple moved from the old bad apartment at Ruben Ruiz Beach Road to a much better, classic style middle-class apartment at Sugar Square, Saint Mary's District. In 2030 they were offered a top modern, newly renovated, five-room, 135 square meter apartment in Solar City right next door, they took the offer and moved again. The rent was a bit higher, but this was top class living standards for a family at their income level. Jimmy’s mother died in June the same year. After 7 years in the modern apartment at 6th floor, Jimmy felt the need for something different, he saw an advert for a small but nice country-style house next to Mónica Roux Monument, build in the early 1990’s, and persuading Francois to move. Jimmy started his home gardening project and found that he had green fingers, making the plants grow easily. The current head of The Experiential Agricultural Institute Beatriz Petit, heard of Jimmys garden and offered him a job. Jimmy took a small wage cut, but is happier today, than he was working at the rescue center. Francois is still a firefighter, he is not interested in gardening, he prefers a good book at the veranda. Francois is today 67 years old, getting close to retirement.

    Helena Weber Family, Jan 2039

Helena Weber is the daughter of Alba and Javier Weber. Granddaughter of Norma Ciccone and Karl Emil Weber on her father’s side. She was born in November 1991 in Plateau Village. She was educated from President Smirnov’s School in 2010, the same year she moved in with her boyfriend Álvaro López. Helena had a miscarriage in 2022. The couple received fertility treatment at Cattle Road Clinic, hoping to get a 2nd chance, but after Helena had another miscarriage in 2034, they gave up hope. Besides the fact that Álvaro quit his job at Ramos Construction, and got a better paid job as schedule manager at CityTruck in the late 2020’s. Nothing much has changed in the family. Although they love each other, they did not marry. Helena still works at Bounty Cigar's Limited. They still live in the beautiful classic style apartment, dating back to the formation of Cattle Road Residential Area the in the early 1930’s. Helena have become quite close friends with Labiba Al Najjar, of the Ahmed family, who lives downstairs. Although Helena in theory believes in the free market economy, she also believes in the democracies right to make restrictions, as a way to protect the environment and more fairly share the fruits of mother earth, as long as everyone is ready to make an effort. She is not a big fan of sudden changes and high-tech solutions.

Besides the fact that Helena Weber drives a plug-in hybrid electric car. She is not interested in computers, robots and those kinds of things.    f7XYzlS.jpg

    Aleto Johnson Family, May 2039

Aleto Johnson was born at New Village Road, Cepero Town, October 1979. The son of Yelena and José Johnson. Aleto was educated at President Williams School and Bounty City University. After taking his master in 2000, he moved to Fungus Town with his girl Carmen Pérez. With whom he already had their son Álvaro Pérez. The Family left the hippie community in 2012, at first to South Coast Road, later to a house at Connection Passway next to Alicja Chapel. Their granddaughter Léa Pérez was born in August 2026, obviously filling the couple with great joy. In the late 2020’s Aleto was working with Jørgen Jensen A/S on Prison Road, Carmen Pérez at the export center in Bounty Bay Harbor. Aleto had a fallout with his manager Hugo Vázquez at Jensen Cattle Feeds in 2030 and got fired. He was immediately hired by Leone Bay Cheese and even took a small wage increase, compared to his previous job. They sold the house at Connection Passway, temporarily living in a simple apartment, near the harbor. After years at the harbor export center Carmen was offered at position as supply officer in 2033. Stationed at the army camp on Bird Street (Today New Bird Street) in Presidente Jakub District. After years on the waiting list, an apartment got vacant at the 5th floor of Bounty Bay Residential Complex and the couple moved into a modern high-class apartment. Today Aleto Johnson is 59 years old, Carmen Pérez 60.

The view from Aleto and Carmen’s living room, is currently spoiled by a large construction site.

President Dr. Carla Robinson, Foreign Minister Lotte Mercier and Environment and Nature Minister Álvaro Díaz, want to see an increased focus on the development of Bounty Islands tourist industry. It is a relative pollution free opportunity to expand the economy and become less dependent on marked trends. In a new 20 years plan they see large numbers of tourists coming to Bounty Islands, with the right investment. To initiate the right development, foreign ministry department Visit Bounty, got a large futuristic headquarter in Harbor District, led by German born Karsten Schumacher.

    August 2039

Visit Bounty’s Karsten Schumacher have asked preservation committee leader Council member María Harris (previously Leone), to gather the committee and make a 3rd memorandum, hoping to preserve interesting building to attract more tourism. Besides María Harris, the committee was composed of: Professor in History at Bounty City University Antonio Benítez, Lotte Brouwer from University Research Laboratory. Architect Elizabeth Pérez from Bonner Construction. And the only new member Journalist Adam Mercier from Radio North replacing Professor Javier Benítez who retired since last meeting.

Another three structures were declared national treasure, receiving the highest possible protection:

The Old Gold Mine (Preservation category P1)

The old gold mine dates back to 1896, constructed by the Governor, after Antonio Gómez found some pieces of gold in a small cave, in what was then part of East Jungle. Although it was founded more than 140 years ago, the mine is still active, today run by Woźniak Family. Over the latest 10 years the family has extracted 4752,6 ounces of gold, valued at approx. 32.000 coins in today’s prices. There is still enough gold to continue operation for many decades to come. Visitors are welcome, but for security reasons not allowed to enter the mine shaft. Instead, there is a small museum in the main building, with historical pictures, anecdotes from the past and access to purchase memorabilia from the visit.

    7OBMt2o.jpg

President Purple Villa and surrounding buildings. (Preservation category H4)

The four classic style buildings on Cattle Road were constructed between 1931 and 1932. As part of what was to become Cattle Road Residential Area. The so-called Purple Villa came to fame when president Jakub Piotrowski and his wife Angelique Piotrowski bought the entire apartment building in the late 1940’s and turned it into a private villa. Aurora Brissi, the daughter of Lorenzo Brissi and her lover Stefano Fiore were living at the first floor in the blue building in the 1950’s.

    4AHvv0q.jpg

Ruben Ruiz Memorial. (Preservation category E2)

The centerpiece of what is today Ruben Ruiz Memorial was constructed in 1903, by the owners of the rum distillery. Mr. Ruiz, was buried under the ceramic flower pot. The south part with the large fountain was added by Bounty Cigar's Limited in the early 1930’s. In 1936 parts of the original construction was damages by fire, reconstructed in 1937-1938. Recently the park was further expanded east, between Bounty City Hospital and Visit Bounty Headquarters, making it the 2nd largest park in the city. Only the Parliament Park is larger, but is only open to the public on a few special occasion.

Mikel and Noah both died as children in the early 90’s. With the death of her mother in 2003, Dolores Sullivan became the chairman of Sullivan Oil. Her first husband died in 2007. Dolores found a new partner in professional soldier Oliver Brown in 2015. At her 78 years birthday in January 2036 she retired from Sullivan Oil, leaving the company in the hands of her son Ronnie Sullivan and daughter in law Prof. Cristina Sullivan. In recent years, first Oliver Brown and later also Dolores have become close friends with Mikail Ahmad (*). Despite their different cultural backgrounds, it was only natural that Mikail Ahmad moved into Dolores house, when her lover Oliver Brown died in September, Taking good care of the 82 years old lady. Dolores originally got the house on Indian Road as a summer residence, to enjoy the fresh air coming down from Cepero Island Mountains. After her retirement she have spend most of her time there, although she still keeps the penthouse apartment at Cepero Town Complex.

Dolores bough the car Mikail uses to go shopping and stuff like that.

    February 2040

    The votes are in:

Green Revolution with Alejandro Pérez got 11,92% (-0,56%) of the votes and 8 seats in parliament.

The Workers Front with Juan Navarro got 12,98% (-0,52%) of the votes and 10 seats in parliament.

Alternative Living with Dr. Carla Robinson got 13,50% (+0,27%) of the votes and 11 seats in parliament.

The Christian Democrats with Lotte Mercier got 13,18% (+0,10%) of the votes and 10 seats in parliament.

The Bounty Conservative with Álvaro Díaz got 11,87% (+0,61%) of the votes and 8 seats in parliament.

The Right-Libertarians with Juan Fernández got 12,16% (-0,09%) of the votes and 9 seats in parliament.

Humanity First with Carla García got 12,16% (-0,36%) of the votes and 9 seats in parliament.

Nationalist Action with Lena Navarro got 11,70% (+0,17%) of the votes and 8 seats in parliament.

    9,6% decided not to vote

Further strengthen Dr. Carla Robinson (Alternative Living) continues as president. Now into her eight year, as leader of Bounty Islands. As a result of the votes she keeps her two most important ministers and change the last two, she believe Álvaro Díaz (The Bounty Conservative) and Carla García (Humanity First) lost to many voters to continue as ministers.

    The new offices:

Dr. Carla Robinson, Alternative Living, President

Lotte Mercier, The Christian Democrats, Foreign Minister - Juan Navarro, The Workers Front, Defense Minister

Alejandro Pérez, Green Revolution, Environment and Nature Minister - Juan Fernández, The Right-Libertarians, Traffic and Logistics Minister

Political analysts all agree that the new government is obviously a quite clear step to the left, with Green Revolution and The Right-Libertarians replacing The Bounty Conservative and Humanity First. That said, the tree major ministries are unchanged.

The new 10 years plan from the government:

    §1 Tourism

§1.1 D'Angelo Island, will be appointed a role as the major tourist destination

§1.2 Restrictions of production and pollution on D'Angelo Island, will be enforced to make §1.0 possible.

    §2 Health,

§1.1 Alternative medication from Indian healing plants, will be investigated and used as much as possible.

§1.2 Free Vaccination programs will be paid by the state.

    §3 Social Welfare

§3.1 The tax politics on food will be rearranged, to protect the unemployed against starvation.

§3.2 Child allowances will be significantly reduced.

    §4 Science and education

Pablo Romero Biological Faculty, will be replaced by a Financial Science Center, to support the private sector.

Alejandro Pérez (Green Revolution), waiting for service at Cocktail Bar Beijing, in his usual “Working Class” outfit.

    September 2040

In August TV1 City uncovered that 64 years old Foreign Minister and leader of The Christian Democrats could not keep her hands of the younger employees in the Ministry and young members of the party. On many occasions her hand ended on their bum, in situations meant to be an innocence hug. Same in some party situations, where her dancing was rather “offensive”. It ended with a media storm and Lotte Mercier decided to quit and move to France with her French born husband Paul Mercier. Lotte Mercier was an important political figure, Defense Minister from 2022 to 2030, and Foreign Minister since 2030. The Christian Democrats elected 37 years Chloé Lambert is new leader and thereby also Foreign Minister.

Chloé Lambert is a single woman of France Origin.
