    February 2033

The construction of Cala Sola Beach Club finished in late January. The beach resort was included in the new Ruben Ruiz Waterfront, just as intended by architect Mrs. Battaglia. Currently it mainly attracts local residents, having a swim in the tall waves of Ruben Ruiz Strait or just coming in for a cold refreshment.

    Labiba Al Najjar March 2033

Labiba Al Najjar was born in an old apartment from the 1930, August 1999, at Cepero Main Waterfront. The daughter of Yasmin Al Najjar (born Ahmed) and Naasir Al Najjar. She had a two years younger little brother Vajid, but he died in 2005. She got another younger brother Farooq in 2012, when she was already a teenager. Labiba was studying at President Williams School, but dropped out in late 2020, after falling in love with Manuel Vázquez. She moved into his cheap apartment at Mountain Village Road in the beginning of 2021. Labiba was unemployed but Manuel provided for her, having a job at the old sheep ranch across the street from the apartment. In 2022 Manuel got a job at R. Johnson Holdings’ lumber camp at the Plateau. The couple moved between several cheap apartments, until they settled behind the hospital at Connection Passway in Harbor District late 2023. Labiba got her first job at the uranium mine at the plateau, but soon changed it to waitress at The Donkey Mansion. Labiba got pregnant in 2027, but they lost the child to the feared jungle fever, Isabella Drosophila Febris. In 2030 they both got better paid jobs and was able to move to a larger apartment in the more fashionable Cattle Road Residential area. Labiba now working at Torres Family Leather at the plateau, Manuel at CityTruck Cattle Road Depot. Today they are both 34 years old, still having no children. They recently moved across Cattle Road to the Cattle Road East residential area, possibly an even more fashionable address.

Labiba’s apartment is located in a quite old and worn building constructed in the 1940’s. But located in a very desirable area belonging to the Cattle Road Recreational Area’s in Cattle Road East. The value is at least 25% higher that a similar apartment elsewhere.

A new large military headquarter have been constructed on the expropriated farmland, north of Jørgen Jensen Road. Some middleclass houses were added to house the lower ranked military personnel. The plan is to add high-class mansions for the higher ranked officers later.

    November 2033

Cepero Sewer Treatment caught fire, the firefighters from Industri Zone Resque had a hard time quelling the fire. With helicopter support they finally managed to put it out in late November, without losing any lives. The nearby President Williams School was closed for several weeks, to avoid student inhaling the poisoned smoke spreading in the area.

Due to the fact that cigar production must be significantly reduced by the end of 2035, Bounty Cigar's Limited decided to sell their plantation at Maria Ruiz Road in Presidente Jakub District, to developer López Construction at North Harbor Road. The land is without doubt the best tobacco soil at Bounty Islands, but the land value is of course much higher, that their plantations in south district. The last harvest will be sold and the plantation demolished.

The main building dates back to late colonial era (approx. 1915).

The roof have been renovated several times and some inner walls replaced, but all in all the building looks like it have done for more than 115 years.

    Dorthea Hartmann Family, December 2033

Dorthea Hartmann was born in the family apartment on South Cepero Road in June 1982. The daughter of Nora (born Sanz) and Jakub Lewandowski. The family moved to Moria Tower at in the southwestern part of Cepero Town, where she spend her childhood with her parents and younger sister Mona. Dorthea took a degree from President Williams School. The two sisters met the Hartmann cousins. Later Mona married Jan and Dorthea married Uwe Hartmann. The couple rented a house at Connection Passway next to Alicja Chapel. Dorthea got a job at the The Experiential Agricultural Institute. Dorthea had twins in Maj 2020, Mina and Sena Hartmann. The family decided to move to a simple but large apartment in the same building as little sister Mona, in Mountain Village. Preferring the quiet rural environment to and expensive house in the city. Their daughter Mina died in the beginning of January 2023, the other twin Sena in April 2024, at the time it was seen as unknown viruses, with today’s knowledge it is fair to assume it was Isabella Drosophila Febris, in both cases. Two months prior to the death of Sena, in early February 2024 Dorthea gave birth to their son Klaus. At this point Uwe Hartmann had a well-paid job as researcher at Pablo Romero Biological Faculty and the family moved into the lower floor of a new mansions, recently constructed on Lumberjack Road in Mountain Village. In 2027 Dorthea quit her job at The Experiential Agricultural Institute, to get a more creative position at Maria Bird Gold & Jewelry. The family moved into an old-style country house, at the border of the city and the north, smaller but very charming. In 2031 Uwe Hartmann was hit by stress related symptoms, anxiety, loss of appetite, insomnia and in some situations a racing heart, followed by chest pain. After a long period not able to work, he has now quit his job at the Biological Faculty and have at least  temporarily chosen to become a truck driver at North Truck Service.

Dorthea leaving the jewelry, in her classic American car.

This year it will be 100 years since Luuk Willems (foreign minister at the time) opened the Export Department at “The Donkey Curve”. Jane Sanz Family, April 2034 (part one)

Lucas Sanz was the husband of Josefa Sanz until her death in 1973, the father of her children Nora Lewandowski, Carlos Sanz and Laura Weber. After Josefa died, he married Yulia Sanz with whom he lived until her death in 1992. In 1997 he married then 33 years old Jane. He was unemployed and lived in her apartment. Jane gave birth to María Sanz in 1997. On paper 69 years old Lucas was the father although evil tongues suggest a secret lover was in the picture.

Jane Sanz was born in October 1963, at Quarry Hill Flats, Leeds, UK. After disagreements with her parents, who disliked her “Punker” attitude, she traveled to Asia and later South America. Ending up at Bounty Islands in 1992, living as a plantation worker. As mentioned, she married and got a daughter, the marriage lasted three years until the death of Lucas Sanz in 2000. She met Allesandro D'Angelo in 2005 and moved into his apartment in a house at Plain Hamlet Road. Both working at S/L Shipping’s depot on Lucia Drive. In 2011 the couple moved to Moria Tower. Allesandro D'Angelo was unfaithful to Jane and she left him in 2016. Jane Sanz and her daughter moved back to the house in Plain Hamlet, owned by her old friend Thorsten Weber. María Sanz left her mothers home in 2017. In 2024 Jane started to date a co-worker at S/L Shipping, Dutch born Robbert Dijkstra. He moved in with her the following year and when Thorsten Weber died in 2026, they bought the house. For the first time in her live Jane found a man that she truly loved. Her only regret in life is, that she is now 70 years old and still haven’t got any grand-children.

Jane Sanz Family, April 2034 (part two)

María Sanz was born december 1997 in Lucia Clinic just across the street from her mother’s small and simple apartment at South Cepero Road. Although she doesn’t remember her father Lucas, she has always felt connected to the family, especially her "Aunt" Nora Lewandowski, who often took care of her as a child and her "Cousins" Mona and Dorthea with whom she still hold contact. Despite the fact that Allesandro D'Angelo was unfaithful towards Jane, he was very found of María and they kept a sort of farther daughter relationship until his sudden death in 2019. María Sanz did not get any 2nd level education. In 2017, 19 years old, she took a job at Hoebeek Construction, making her able to afford her own small apartment in Fenna Tower. In October 2023 María gave birth to a daughter Mónica, the farther was unemployed Jacob Hughes from Somerset County, South West England. He did not want children. María was living as a single mother. Sadly the child died in 2026, the official cause of death was heart failure, but with today’s knowledge, we can assume she had Isabella Drosophila Febris. In 2027 María got a job at Cine De Loro. She found a small simple apartment at a nice small neighborhood next to Hotel America on Plantation Road. In fall 2033 María was offered a slightly better position at the Cepero Theater and moved to Cepero Island. Now living in an apartment just across the street from the cinema, next to Cepero Department Store. Impossible to find a much better location at Cepero Island, within her budget, close to the metro station and Cepero Park.

    Finn Leroy September 2034

Finn Leroy was born in February 1974, in his parent’s apartment at Plantation Street, next to Bounty Bank. Son of circus artist Hugo Leroy, and university student Britta Timm. The following year the couple married and his mother became Britta Leroy. He grew up quite poor, in different cheap working-class flats. Until his mother established herself as a respected doctor and the family moved to a house at Connection Passway, in the early 1990’s. Finn met Anne in 1996 and soon moved into her apartment. Finn was sometimes working sometimes studying. He graduated from Bounty University in 2008. Finn and Anne married and got two children. Finn got a job as inspector at Cattle Road Rescue, Anne working at the old Cattle Ranch, now the family could afford a fine apartment at Cattle Road Residential Complex. Sadly, both children died from a rare genetic disorder in 2013. When Grasso Family sold their Cattle Ranch on Pasture Road to Ramos Construction Anne lost her job, but was soon hired by CityTruck’s cattle road depot. When the Legal Department of the President, was created in February 2022, Finn Leroy was hired to run the Legal department of the State Ministry. The couple became rich and bought a luxurious mansion on Sugar Road. Finn lost his father in June the same year. In 2028 Finn was offered a position as financial leader of Saint Mary's Hospital, obtaining another nice salary increase. The family bought one of the most expensive homes in the city. A top modern mansion at North Harbor Road, with Fenna Chapel in the backyard and Museo de Arte Moderno right across the street. Finn’s mother died in November 2029. Time will never fully heal the early loss of their two children. Anne is still receiving psychological assistance from Chapel Clinic, but all in all they cope quite well and enjoy life most of the time.

Finn Leroy always walks the short distance from the hospital to the mansion, enjoying the flowers in the park between the Circus and Museo de Arte Moderno.

This year it will be 100 years since Sergio Navarro lead the construction of the “Gaia’s birth of Jesus” monument. Today he is often mentioned as Saint Sergio in the tourist pamphlets, although he is of course not officially a Saint. The religious importance of the monument and the "Order of Fen" have declined a lot over the latest 30-40 years, but they are an integrated part of Bounty folklore, not to mention the importance of the monument, chapels and unique nuns as tourist magnets.

Today more tourists than locals visit “Gaia’s birth of Jesus” and religious visionary Bella Esposito’s famous grave from 1943.

Alejandro grandmother was today legendary businesswoman Yelena Johnson. His mother married Italian Gabriele Moretti and his sister Cristina Moretti was born in December 2001. Alejandro’s grandmother Yelena Johnson died in 2027, a person he was very attached to and miss a lot. In 2028 Alejandro’s partner Dolores Sanz had a miscarriage, resulting in a mild depression, the couple decided to travel again, spending almost a year in South East Asia, Burma, Thailand, Laos, Cambodja and Vietnam. Coming back, they had to start all over with unskilled jobs and small cheap apartments. In 2030 Alejandro got a well-paid job at Maria Bird Gold & Jewelry, which he still got today. Dolores have never been able to get a skilled job, although also she has a 2nd level diploma. She is currently working at the hippie sawmill “Stoned Planks” in plateau village, run by members of Loyal to Familia. Today Dolores Sanz is 37 years old, it is about time if the couple want to have another shot at getting a child. Even though the family could afford a better home, it is not a priority for them right now and they just got a rather small flat in Plateau Tower.

Alejandro Johnson is not a particular religious person, but he likes to visit religious buildings for their art and cultural values. In this case the Spiritual Baptist Corpus Christi Church.

    February 2035

Ever since Carla García (Humanity First) became Traffic and Logistics Minister in 2032, she have worked for a smoother connection from the factories and mines at Plateau Village to the Trade Pier at Bounty Bay Harbor. Many roads have been build, demolished or rearranged, but most notably a tunnel connection from Plateau Village to Presidente Jakub District and a new road/bridge connection, following Bounty Bay, have dramatically shortened the distance.

    Tunnel entry from Plateau Village

    zgbmyap.jpg

The memorial fountain in front of Maria Bird Gold & Jewelry, in memory of María Ruiz, was demolished in the process. It was a very controversial decision, met with protest from members of the union and many older citizens proud of the early history of their nation. María Ruiz was an important member of the “Distillery Workers Association”, she initiated the first free distillery in the colonial era and she was an important figure in formation of the post revolution Workers Union.

Cristina Moretti & Michael Schulz, Maj 2035

Cristina Moretti was born in December 2001, in her grandmother’s apartment at Cattle Road. Living with her Grandmother Yelena Johnson, her parents Carina and Gabriele Moretti and her older brother Alejandro Johnson, until her parents got their own apartment in Miners Village in 2007. After Alejandro left the family, they bought the top floor of a villa on Jørgen Jensen Road in 2017. Cristina never attempted to get a 2nd level education, she started to get small low-paid jobs, delivering newspapers and cleaning tables at Miner's Burger, from the age of 16. At this point she also started to date more than 8 years older Michael Schulz, born May 1993 at Immermannstraße 4 in Düsseldorf, Germany. Cristina Moretti moved into Michael Schulz’s modest apartment at New Village Tower in 2021. Michael had a job as busdriver and supported his young unemployed girlfriend. The budget was tight, but they were both very happy and contend, deeply in love and never arguing about those small details in a relationship, many couples find so difficult. After more than a years of unemployment Cristina got a job at the office of Developer Jane Jansen, not especially well paid, but actually better that the bus company. In 2027 Michael was able to get a job as truckdriver at S/L shipping’s Industrial Zone depot, taking a substantial salary increase, the following year also Cristina was hired as truck driver, in her case at D'Angelo Freight. The couple was now both rather well paid and could consider themselves as part of the middle class. Never the less they chose to stay in the small apartment in New Village Tower. Sadly Michael Schulz was involved in a serious accidence in 2030, losing his driver's license and job. To avoid the “small talk” of New Village, the couple moved further south to Moria Tower. Today, Michael Schulz commute to Cocktail Bar Beijing in the far end of Bounty City. Cristina work at one of the shop’s in Cepero Arcade. 33 years old Cristina Moretti have never been pregnant. May be that they can’t get children? After 14 year the couple have of course had some minor disagreements, but they love each other and always work things out.

    June 2035

The presidential speech, address the economical crisis of Bounty Island:

    Dr. Carla Robinson:

“The worldwide inflation combined with the international restrictions upon Cigar and Tobacco export have put pressure on Bounty Islands economy. On top of that, most likely based on the high social welfare system of our nation, we can see that many important sectors need workers, while on the other hand, we got many unemployed citizens seemingly unwilling to take those jobs. We have also seen a drop in the purchasing power (*) of many people, as the salaries are not able to keep up with inflation. Our only weapon against this is to temporarily cut of expensive cost, by reducing lunch from 2 hour to 30 minutes (**), in combination with a tax on food sales (***), to generate some extra income for the nation, hopefully forcing some unemployed into the jobs market. We expect, these initiatives will lead to further growth and improved welfare for anyone, long term. Although it may seem hard for some families right now.”

Lena Navarro (Nationalist Action) comments: Oh yes, we definitely approve of these measures, we have always said that too many people, often immigrants, need more incentives to force them into the labor market, in stead of just reaping the social benefits without contributing anything. We would prefer rolling back social welfare benefits (****) all together, but it is a step in the right direction.

Alejandro Pérez (Green Revolution) comments: It is our worst nightmare come true, just what we feared from the new government. Guaranteed to work against CO2 reduction and at the same time further increasing the growing gap between the deprived families and the shameless rich.

It is businesses like Hotel America Burger, hopping the new political initiatives can help attract new workers, presently only able to get 25% of the workers they need.

(*) A reduction in salary of many jobs effective from April 2035: Many uneducated reduced from about 10 to about 8 coins a month, a similar reduction in other sectors.

(**) No mandatory siesta (***) No free lunch (****) Child Allowances & Social Security
