The sitting president married and took her husband’s surname Willems

It is now 10 years since we had the last election. The votes have been counted.

Green Revolution with Julia Munoz got 11,92% (-0,56%) of the votes and 8 seats in parliament.

The Workers Front with Juan Navarro got 12,98% (-0,52%) of the votes and 10 seats in parliament.

Alternative Living with Martina Willems got 13,50% (+0,27%) of the votes and 11 seats in parliament.    

The Christian Democrats with Lotte Rinaldi got 13,18% (+0,10%) of the votes and 10 seats in parliament.

The Bounty Conservative with Álvaro Díaz got 12,12% (+0,61%) of the votes and 8 seats in parliament.

The Right-Libertarians with Juan Álvarez got 12,25% (-0,23%) of the votes and 9 seats in parliament.

Humanity First with Lucía Gómez got 12,52% (+0,49%) of the votes and 9 seats in parliament.

Nationalist Action with Lena Benítez got 11,53% (-0,50%) of the votes and 8 seats in parliament.

9,6% decided not to vote

Overall, it seems the outer left was weakened with both Green Revolution and the former so strong Workers Front losing many voters. The outer right is basically on par, but we see a more moderate tendency with voters moving from Nationalist Action to Humanity First. Most notably within the parties we normally see form the leadership of the Island, is the huge loss taken by Workers Front and the huge gain taken by The Christian Democrats, in Bounty politics a ½% is a lot. The sitting government lost just 0,1% of the voters and could continue with a large margin to the opposition, but that was not how things turned out.

Martina Willems (formerly Smirnov) from Alternative Living, would become president again, as it is an unwritten rule, that the larges party form the government on Bounty Islands. But seeing Green Revolution lose a seat in the parliament see decided to replace them with Humanity First. Strengthening the voter base behind her leadership further. Quite a bold move, with a government that could have very conflicting views within its own ranks. With a great election Lotte Rinaldi will be promoted at Foreign Minister, replacing Juan Navarro who was demoted to Defense Minister.

Analysts believe the main reasons for the turn to the right in politics is high unemployment and increase in criminality. The voters is afraid of employment situation after it was announced that the tobacco industri would be suffering in the near future, and voters also hope more radical actions will be taken against criminality.

Many voter might like to see more police on the streets, not to mention a harder and more effective legal system.

In March, Cielo Hotel opened at Jungle Road, Cepero Town. The project included Cepero Arcade, finished early April, and Michael Schmidt Square, in honor of the founder of “Visit Bounty”, a division within the foreign ministry created in 1989, focusing on tourism.

Myrthe Sullivan Maj 2030

Myrthe Sullivan the daughter of Shana and Lucas Sullivan was born in an apartment on South Cepero Road, Lucia Village in April 1985. The Family grew further and moved to a larger apartment in South Jungle Tower in 1995. At this point Myrthe was already admitted to President Williams School. An exceptional bright girl, she already finished her 2^nd level education in 1998 just 13 years old. Despite her obvious talent, she did not take a higher education, her farther was drunk most of the time and her weak mother needed her help to raise the younger children. Myrthe left her parent’s large three-story house, springtime 2004, for the first time moving to the city. She found a small apartment at Shack Village Road, an area with quite cheap but very coveted apartment, especially amongst the younger generations. After having a few love affairs, she met French Victor Dubois, who moved into her small apartment in 2010. Myrthe had a hard time finding a job that met her qualifications, working on the nearby tobacco plantation. In 2015 they briefly rented a house on Village Road, D’Angelo Village, but already in 2017, they were back in the Monica Roux Residential Area in a beautiful apartment on Chapel Road. Myrthe was now 32 years old and the couple still had no children. Their apartment was demolished, to make room for TV1 City, but they were relocated to a similar quality apartment on Sugar Square. Although the apartment was on paper just as fine, at that point the location was far from same standard. Myrthe Sullivan finally got pregnant, the couple married, and in August 2020 she gave birth to Carl S. Dubois. In November 2022 the family grew again with Luca S. Dubois. Today the family have moved to a larger apartment in Fenna Tower. Both adults work at Bounty Bay Tobacco’s plantation.

Verónica Sanz & Tess Koning, June 2030

Verónica Sanz the wife of Carlos Sanz died 74 years old. Verónica Sanz’s husband died in December 2026. She will leave behind her son Jimmy Sanz and his husband Francois Moreau. Verónica met Carlos Sanz in 1975 and they married, a marriage that lasted more than 50 years. They lost their first son Pete as a baby. Verónica Sanz was a semi-professional artist.

44 years old Dutch TV chef Tess Koning, moved to Bounty Island, as a base for her international recognized TV series about food from Caribbean and Central America, a few years ago. Now she has also opened a fine dining restaurant “Het Wilde Varken”, located in the new Inland See Waterfront.

Kaamran Ahmed Family, September 2030

Kaamran Ahmed was born in an apartment on Old Banana Road, Mountain Village in August 1990. The only child of Heike and Mikail Ahmed. He spent all his childhood living in Mountain Village. Kaamran graduated from President Smirnov’s School in 2012, 21 years old. While he was still studying, he came in contact with members of criminal organization Loyal to Familia. In the beginning of 2015, he got his first job, working at People's Market on South Coast Road, left his parents and found a small apartment in Ruiz Tower on Cattle Road. In 2016 Kaamran gave up on a regular job, and became a “Soldato” in the Familia. Moving into a charming colonial style country house in Monica Roux Residential Area, with his partner Alicja, a former Russian prostitute and longtime associate of the Familia. The couple married and Alicja gave birth to their son Talal Ahmed in March 2020. For security reasons Kaamran decided to move the family out of the city, to an apartment in Mountain Village, just a few doors from where he was born on Old Banana Road. Another son, Zakaria was born in November 2027 and the family soon moved to a larger better apartment at Plateau Village Square. Now 40 years old, Kaamran is still a “Soldato” stationed at Loyal to Familia Shipyard. Alicja connected to the Familia’s operations in Fungus Town. Talal have begun studies at President Smirnov’s School.

The leader of Green Revolution Julia Muñoz died 63 years old from a stroke. She was replaced by 51 years old, former truck driver, Alejandro Pérez. Alejandro lives in Bounty Bay Residential Complex, with his wife Isabel and 7 years old daughter Josefa.

This year it will be 100 years since Bounty Cigar's Limited opened their 2^nd production building next to Ruben Ruiz Memorial. It is not likely, that both building will survive the forced reduction in cigar production, happening over the coming years.

Valeria Sullivan, January 2031

Valeria Sullivan, was born July 1963 in Fenna Chapel, the daughter of sister Sullivan. Her mother never mentioned or revealed the name of her father. Growing up in Fenna Chapel, with her mother, her older sister Dolores and older brother Lucas. As a teenager she refused to go to church, leaving her mother at 19, to join the hippie community at the Plateau. She moved out of the hippie camp to a colonial style farm house at Old Banana Road in the mid 1990’s, but was still leading the saw mill. Valeria Sullivan lost her mother in 2003, they had some contact in her last years, but the relationship was never close. When the government was about to construct a Nuclear Power Plant in the North District, in 2009. Valeria moved to D'Angelo Island, starting a romantic relationship with Myrthe De Groot, a waitress at Pub D'Angelo. Saddened after a difficult break with Myrthe in 2017, Valeria moved to the city. Living alone at various locations, while doing different charity work. On the surface strong and confident, inside heartbroken. In January 2027 Valeria Sullivan, was appointed member of Council of the Districts. Time has healed some of her wounds, especially the new responsibilities in the Council have taken her mind of her unhappy love life. Despite the fact that Valeria is a very rich women, she has a rather simple apartment on Maria Ruiz Road in Harbor District, next to Leone Bay Cheese.

The first victims of the restrictions on the tobacco industry, was the workers at Schubert Cigars. Schubert Holding stopped production at the end of January and sold the building to HIQUEA Ltd. The company is aiming to construct a Synthetic Material Plant on the land, as soon as they get the needed permission from the local authorities.

Chinese e-commerce giant, JD.com has sponsored the construction of an international school, next to Chinatown. 55 years old, half Chinese Zoya Navarro was relocated from the company to become the headmaster.

HIQUEA Ltd. got the permission to built the Synthetic Material Plant at the site they bought from Schubert Holding. The factory building is finished. Now the recruiting team will begin to hire the first employees, mainly product designers and administration. It with be a while before supply stock is filled and the actual production can begin.

Ronnie Sullivan, June 2031

Ronnie Sullivan, the son of Alexandre Martin and Dolores Sullivan, was born March 1986 in a small working-class apartment on Cepero Main, New Village, Cepero Town. The family moved and he spend his childhood in Lucia Village. He had younger brothers, but both died very young in the first half of the 90’s. Back then, his father was a miner, his mother a tobacco plantation worker. Ronnie was educated at President Williams school. In 2003, his mother became the chairman of Sullivan Oil. Ronnie Sullivan finished his education and lead the compagnies oil operation in the eastern part of the jungle. The family moved to a large modern 3 story house between Smirnov Road and Piotrowski Street, at the eastern part of Lucia Village. Ronnie’s girlfriend Cristina moved in with him, occupying their own private floor. In 2007 Ronnie’s father died. In 2010 Ronnie and Cristina moved to a large but relative cheap apartment next to Cepero Department Store. At this point Cristina had graduated from Bounty City University, but still haven’t found a job she was interested in. Ronnie was still leading the oil operation. The couple married in 2020 and got a daughter Vera in July 2022, whereafter the family moved south to Plain Hamlet. In August 2028 the family was extended with a son Stephen Sullivan. Ronnie Sullivan still leads the oil operation. Cristina Sullivan administrates truck operations at S/L South District. Vera attends classes at President Williams School. The family recently moved to a large apartment in South Jungle Tower.

Zakaria Ahmed & Lucía Clarke August 2031

Zakaria Ahmed the son of Alicja and Kaamran Ahmed died just 3 years old from a tropical fever.

71 years old Traffic and Logistics Minister, Lucía Gómez, married 63 years old George Clarke and took his surname. Now officially Traffic and Logistics Minister, Lucía Clarke.

Traffic and Logistics Minister Lucía Clarke is an active lady, despite the fact that she is in her 70’s. Not only does she drive a fast car, she is also a brilliant diver.

Opposition leader, 59 years old, Lena Benítez from Nationalist Action, lost her husband last summer. She started dating 57 years old David Navarro. They married and now her official name is Lena Navarro. David Navarro works with shipping at D’Angelo Fright South.

Due to the coming import ban on tobacco products based on tobacco grown in glasshouses, The Experiential Agricultural stopped tobacco production, instead they are now doing research on manipulated cocoa beans.

Gafur Ahmed Family, October 2031

Gafur Ahmed was born in his mother’s small apartment on Cepero Main, November 1989. The son of plantation workers Jeanne and Majed Ahmed. Near the end of the 90’s the family moved to a slightly larger apartment in New Village, Cepero Town, where Gafur spent most of his childhood. A few years later Gafur started 2^nd level education at President Williams School. His farter bought a boat and became a fisherman. Gafur graduated from President Williams in 2007. In 2010 he left his parents home to live with three years younger Beatriz Vázquez, moving into a cheap apartment at Plantation Route, on the outskirts of D'Angelo village. At this point both Gafur and Beatriz was in the military stationed at D'Angelo village army camp. Beatriz got pregnant and gave birth to their only child Zuma, who sadly died from bird flu in 2014. In the meantime, Gafur left the military, taking at job at the local rescue center and the family bought a house at D'Angelo Main Road. Since then, nothing noteworthy happened in the family, besides the fact that time healed some of the despair that hit the couple when they lost their only child. Today Gafur Ahmed is 41 old.

The family spend most of their time in D'Angelo village and decided against getting a car, although they could easily afford one.

The few times they go to town they take bus L1 to Cepero Park Metro.

Valeria Sullivan, November 2031

Valeria Sullivan was diagnosed with a brain tumor the 26^th of February. She received chemotherapy and other treatments, but surgery was out of the question, due to a difficult location in the brain. She deteriorated quite fast from July and was permanently hospitalized in September. Valeria Sullivan died 68 years old the 9^th of November. Valeria Sullivan, was the daughter of sister Sullivan. Widely known to the public, after she became member of the Council of the Districts in January 2027. Valeria was lesbian, despite the fact that she left neither a partner nor any children, many people attended the funeral. A mix of persons from the LGBT community, people from the political establishment including the president, every minister and council members. And of course, her sister, her brother and their families. The funeral took place in Mónica Roux Monument, led by Council member Babette López. Valeria was atheist and did not what a Christian Burial.

Valeria Sullivan’s replacement in the council was in chosen at the beginning of December. 49 years old María Leone. Born and raised at Bounty Island, but belonging to a Dutch family that immigrated some 55 years ago. María is married to 59 years old Allesandro Leone, currently working in the tourist industry, with whom she got her only child, 8 years old Montserrat. María, belong to the left side of the political spectrum, immediately rolled back Valeria Sullivan’s proclamation about education, now allowing everyone to get free education. The downside is that she has to fill the classrooms with more students, possibly losing some quality in the education system.

M.S. Colombia the flagship of the Royal Netherlands Steamship Company, arrived in Bounty Bay 100 years ago, springtime 1932, the first ship to arrive that year. The ship was carrying two passengers and left the Island with 62 ton corn, 21 ton cocoa, 1.099 Barrel of rum, 792 Sq.Yard of leather, 29 ton coconut and 272 ounces of gold. Aitana Sánchez, February 2032

Aitana Sánchez (born Sullivan) was born in January 1989. In her parent’s apartment on South Cepero Road, Lucia Village. Daughter of Shana and Lucas Sullivan. Back then, her father was a truck driver at S/L shipping’s depot in the industrial zone. Her mother Plantation worker at Shubert Cigars. Aitana was the 2^nd of three siblings, having an older sister Myrthe and a younger brother Cristobal. The family soon moved to South Jungle Tower where Aitana spend most of her childhood. In 2002 her father bought The Waterfront Bar and Tapas, and an old three-story apartment building at Cepero Main Waterfront, where she spend her teenage years. Aitana graduated from President Williams in 2007, 18 years old. The following years, she left her parents’ home, to live with a girl from school, in a small apartment at the bottom floor of Plateau Tower, she was unemployed and still living on her fathers money. At that point dating a boy from Spain named Rubén. In 2009 she got her first job at Leone Family’s banana plantation, mountain village. The two girlfriends split up. Aitana got a small place at Banana Road and her new boyfriend Rafael Sánchez moved in with her.

Aitana got pregnant, they married and she gave birth to their son Ben, April 2010. In February 2014 the family was extended with a daughter Zoe. Aitana got a better job at Torres Family Goat Ranch and Rafael chose to stay home with the children. 2016 was a catastrophic year for the family where they lost first Aitana’s mother and later their daughter Zoe. Rafael got a job at the coal mine, Ben was admitted to President Smirnov’s School, Aitana started working at the Trade Pier in the Harbor. The family moved into a fine old country style house at Banana Road. Aitana gave birth to daughter Emilia Sánchez, in the country house, June 2022. Ben Sánchez finished his 2^nd level education in 2024, 14 years old. In 2029 Aitana got a studio in the Cultural House, attempting to start a career as artist. Last year Ben left the family to move in with the very beautiful, former class mate Nora Ramos, in her house at Cepero Town North. Nora Ramos is the daughter of 62 years old Álvaro Ramos, the first male leader of the Order of Fen. Emilia have begun her 2^nd level education at President Smirnov’s.

Jeanne Ahmed March 2032

Majed Ahmad’s wife Jeanne Ahmed (born Vázquez), died 68 years old. Jeanne was born in Paris and came to Bounty Islands 20 years old in 1984 and got a job at Bounty Bay Tobacco’s plantation in Presidente Jakub District, Bounty City. Jeanne met Majed Ahmed at Popov Popin in 1988, she got pregnant, they married and their son Gafur was born November 1989. Originally they lived in Jeanne’s apartment at Cepero Main, but soon moved to New Village. Jeanne got a job at Tobacco Workers Union’s plantation, much closer to their home. In her late 40’s Jeanne started having problems with her knees after many years in the tobacco fields. They got an apartment with elevator access in Moria Tower. Jeanne took a job in the nearby bus company and they bought their own house in Lucia Village in 2019. Jeanne’s knee problems worsened over time, forcing her early retirement in January 2030.

President Martina Willems died 75 years old. Martina Willems was defense minister from 2010 to 2020 and president from 2020 to her death. Martina Willems will leave behind her husband Finn Willems, her daughter Montserrat Leroy, son in law Jaques Leroy, and her granddaughter Montserrat Leroy. The new leader of Alternative Living, 48 years old, Carla Robinson was declared president and will lead the country until the next election. Dr. Carla Robinson co-owns Lucia Clinic. She is married to Lieutenant Colonel James Robinson, leader of Cepero South Army Base. The couple has two children, 14 years old Josefa and 11 years old Javier. The family lives in a large but quite modest apartment at Moria Tower, Adrian Pérez Road, Cepero Town.

The middle-class residential complex, originally intended to be constructed close to Cepero North Hospital, where Cepero North Park is today, have now been placed at the northwest corner of New Village residential area.

The government have passed a law, allowing the military to expropriate a fairly large amount of farmland to build new military installations, securing the safety and independence of Bounty Islands. Chief of Defence, Pedro Castro, selected two pineapple plantations close to Miner’s Village. They were both owned by United Food, but will be demolished as soon as the last harvest are sold. United Food will use the income from the expropriation, to build modern pineapple greenhouses.

Mona Hartmann Family, July 2032

Mona Hartmann, (born Lewandowski), was born in an apartment at Cepero Main Waterfront 1974. The daughter of Nora and Jakub Lewandowski. In 1982 her little sister Dorthea was born and the family moved to a modern apartment block on Adrian Pérez Road in 1984. Mona graduated from President Smirnov’s School in 1992. Mona left her parents in 1995, to work at Saint Mary’s State Prison. She met Jan Hartman, and the couple moved together in a farmhouse next to Hotel America Burgers, Jan working at the nearly Hotel. They married in 2012. Her farther Jakub Lewandowski died in 2016, later the same year Mona and Jan got their son Sergio. After Mona became a mother, she left the prison and got a job at at R. Johnson SunWear. The family moved to Mountain Village, living in the same building as little sister Dorthea’s family. Jan got a job at Industry Rescue, in Cattle Road District. Mona Hartmann lost her mother in 2021. In 2023 Sergio was admitted to President Smirnov’s School, 8 years old, the bright boy got his 2^nd level diploma in late 2028 at the age of 12. In 2030 the family moved to Fenna Tower. This spring, Mona Hartmann chose to get a more relaxed job at Shark Beach Port, after many years with the stressful but well-paid job at R. Johnson SunWear, losing 45% of her previous wages. Sergio Hartmann is now studying at Bounty City University.

Isabel Romero August 2032

27 years old Research Scientist Isabel Romero from Pablo Romero Biological Faculty, have been working on a study of genetic variation in fruit flies, hoping to find solution to the fast decay of fruit in the tropical heat. In her studies she stumbled upon a virus amongst spotted wing drosophila. Attacking berries and some soft fruits. Further studies by Isabel Romero and Thorsten Schneider from Cepero North Hospital, reveled that the virus can be transmitted to babies and small children, causing a deadly fever over just a few days. This may explain why Bounty Islands still had a very high dead rate, amongst babies and very young children, despite a good hospital service and fine sanitary systems. The virus has been named Isabella Drosophila Febris. Isabel Romero is the daughter of Petra and Francisco Ruiz. Her husband is Nuclear Engineer Francisco Romero a relative of Pablo Romero who founded the Experiential Agricultural Institute. Honored in 2016 when the biological faculty was created.

The southern expropriated pineapple plantation was demolished at the end of May and construction of a new Secret Bounty Military Headquarter (SBM2) began. This time with an attached Military Agency, a training center for special forces and undercover agents. The old headquarters from 1956 (SBM1) in Saint Mary's District was torn down, as soon as the new buildings was ready.

In the beginning of October, Traffic and Logistics Minister Lucía Clarke died 71 years old. Mrs. Clarke became leader of political party Humanity First in 1995, just 34 years old. The first 35 years she was part of the opposition, but with a strong election in 2030 she became part of the sitting government. It took some time to find a new leader of Humanity First, but after a hard internal struggle the new Traffic and Logistics Minister was chosen at the 29^th. The new minister will be Spanish born plantation owner Carla García. Carla is 54 years old. She is the mother of two, married to Adrián García, division leader at Schubert Processed Food Brewery. The couple lives with the youngest daughter, at a house in the center of D'Angelo Village.

Cristobal Sullivan Family, November 2032   

Cristobal Sullivan was born December 1992, at South Cepero Road, Lucia Village. The son of Shana and Lucas Sullivan. In 1995 the family moved to South Jungle Tower, 7 years later his farther bought The Waterfront Bar and an old three-story apartment building at Cepero Main Waterfront. Where he spent the rest of his teenage years. Cristobal hated school and left it without a diploma in 2009, the following year he moved in with 8 years older Chiara Benítez. The couple was living a party lifestyle, centered around Pub D'Angelo and their cheap apartment on Village Road. Cristobal lost his mother in 2016. From 2019 the couple both got a more permanent job at Grasso & O’Neill’s modern pig farm and cut down on the drinking and partying. In the early 2020’s the couple attempted to get children, but after two miscarriages, they gave up. The economy improved and the couple bought a house at Village Curve, D'Angelo Village in 2023. A few years later Cristobal was offered a job at D'Angelo Freight, where the paycheck was a bit higher. In 2030 Chiara Benítez lost her job at Grasso & O’Neill’s, her drinking had begun again. She got a job at Pub D'Angelo, further strengthening her problems. Cristobal loved her a lot and tried to live with it. He was not drinking much, as his driver license was crucial working at D'Angelo Fright.
