Carl S. Dubois family December 2046

Carl was born August 2020, in a small middle-class apartment on Sugar Square. The son of Myrthe Sullivan and Victor Dubois. In November two years later, his little brother Luca was born. The apartment was too small for a family of four and soon they relocated to a larger but also simpler apartment at Fenna Tower. In the beginning of the 2030’s Carl was admitted to President Williams School, he graduated in 2035. His father Victor got involved with Loyal to Familia and despite being able to leave in good standing, the family lost money and had to flee their apartment in the city, for a period living in smaller apartments in Cepero Town. In the late 2030’s the situation improved and the family moved to a classic style apartment at Piotrowski Street. In 2040 Carl started dating Ana the daughter of famous Dutch TV chef Tess Koning. In 2041 the couple moved together in a small very simple apartment at Plantation Route, D'Angelo Island. At the time Carl was unemployed, Ana was religious sister, taking care of the gardens and interior at Iglesia Nuestra Señora. A position she still holds. During 2044 and 2045 Carl was a bus driver. They could now afford a rented house in D'Angelo Village. Carl was able to get a much better and skilled job, at the new South Cepero Fire Station, just a few months ago. The family moved to a nice classic style apartment at South Cepero Road, in the heart of Miner’s Village.

    April 2047

The first official national holiday celebration “Cristina Cepero Announcement Day”, was held the 1.st of April, celebrating that it was exactly 120 years since, transitional Government leader Cristina Cepero announced the first democratic election.

In a TV speech in connection with Cristina Cepero Announcement Day, president Carla Bruno announced that to make life easier upon the poor, all tax on fuel and cars would be removed and people with a “low” income job, would get an almost free, government sponsored car. At first in a 5 years test period, to see how much it would affect the queue formation during rush hour. She promised that it would, at least over the first 5 years, it would not change public transport funding.

It turned out that the president office, had not cleared this with Green Revolution and Environment and Nature Minister Alejandro Pérez, maybe intentionally who knows? Anyway, the result was that Green Revolution left the Government, the next morning. As the government still got 40 seats out of 74 left, they could continue without calling for early elections. Environment and Nature would be handled directly under the president, until next election.

Cristina & Michael Schulz, May 2047

Cristina Moretti was born in December 2001, in her grandmother Yelena Johnson’s home at Cattle Road. Where she was living with her parents Carina and Gabriele Moretti and her older brother Alejandro Johnson. The family left her grandmother’s home in 2007. She spent the rest of her childhood in apartments near Miner’s Village. Cristina started dating German Michael Schulz in her mid-teens, moving into his apartment at New Village Tower in 2021. In the early 2030’s moving further south to Moria Tower. In 2036 they moved to the city, renting a house at Corpus Christi Street, next to the Baptist Church. Cristina got pregnant and gave birth to their son Rafael Schulz, born in July 2037. They married and Cristina took her husband’s surname. At this point Michael had worked at Cocktail Bar Beijing almost 10 years, Cristina was working at the nearby Saint Mary Metro Station, it made sense that the family relocate to the apartment in Chinatown, where they still live. Whereas Michael Schulz have only had three different jobs, bus driver, truck driver and bartender. Cristina have not been able to hold jobs for longer periods, working a multitude of varying unskilled jobs. Today she works at Santoro Golf Resort.

    July 2047

The preservation committee made its 5th memorandum, as former Council member María Rinaldi retired, this time led by Council member Thomas Thomas representing the tourist industry. The other members are: Professor in History Ángel Ruiz from Bounty City University, Architect Sasha Zaytsev from Bonner Construction, Dr. Lucas Hernández from University Research Laboratory and director of the Museum of Original Culture Ángel Torres. Again, the committee declared just one building national treasure:

The Cattle Road Clinic (Preservation category H3)

Italian Couple Lorenzo and Anja Brissi bought the land on Cattle road in the winter 1920/1921. We know from a copy of the contract that Lorenzo contacted the owner of Bounty’s only Construction company at the time Thorsten Klein, and we can see from the contract that he paid 1.500§, a very substantial sum at the time. The construction of the building was finished in late spring 1921 and the doors opened for patients in June. A revolution in healthcare for the inhabitants of what was then a small town, with a population of around 350 people.

Lorenzo Brissi located his Clinic, on a quite road, a bit south the town center, but today it is in the heart of the city, at one of the busiest roads.

    Farooq Al Najjar, September 2047

Farooq Al Najjar was born in an apartment at Cepero Main Waterfront December 2012, with the help of fertility treatments. The son of Yasmin and Naasir Al Najjar. Farooq was somehow a replacement for his brother Vajid, who died in 2001. Farooq sister Labiba was 12 years old when he was born. His mother was 38. When Farooq was still just a toddler the family moved to New Village Residential area, where the family got an apartment in the tower. When Farooq was in his teens his father got a job in the military, stationed at the small military outpost in Saint Mary’s District. The family moved to the city getting an apartment in the tower at Sugar Road Residential Area. Farooq passed the 2nd level exam, in 2029. The family moved again in 2032, this time to Fenna Tower. The following year Farooq left his parents. Farooq Al Najjar moved to Cepero Islands, living in various small apartments from 2033 to 2038, working with several different unskilled jobs. In 2038 he was offered a qualified job, at United Food’s sugar greenhouses, at Shark Beach Road. Later the same years his girlfriend María Vázquez moved in with him at the small apartment he had rented in Cattel Road Residential Area. At the time she was working at Bounty State Medication. They both disliked living in the city. The opportunity to move came in 2043, when Farooq was offered the job with Jørgen Jensen A/S, as technician on the fish tanks, which he still got. They relocated to Miners Village and later Lucia Village. Today María works at M.Leroy JV’s nickel mine.

    November 2047

This summer, despite some protests from nationalist groups, the government decided to keep the immigration door wide open, for a period of about 12 months. In an attempt to attract cheap labor and by that more investment on Bounty Islands. Especially in the still relatively small tourist industry. The first result of this was that Santoro Golf added a new two-star Hotel to their resort. Aiming to attract the many price-conscious elderly golfer’s from all over the world.

The effects of the new open-door immigration policy, did not have the intended effect, so far not resulting in any new immigrants, as a result it has been extended until the end of 2048.

    Carlos Taka Jan. 2048

Carlos Taka was born Carlos Wagner in December 1973. The son of Alexandra Taka. Adapted by his stepfather Heinrich at the age of five. His little sister died when he was very young, but he had an older half-sister Tami from his stepfathers first marriage. Carlos spent his childhood and teenage years in New Village, Cepero Town. He did not get an education and left his parents in 1995 to work at the new cinema at Cattle Road, where he also got a small apartment. Soon his girl Svetlana moved in. He lost his stepfather in 2011. After Carlos got a job at R. Johnson SunWear in 2013, the couple could afford a small house at Sugar Road. They had two children, but only the son Ryuji, born in 2016, survived the first difficult years. Carlos lost his job and the family struggled in the 2020’s, losing the house. The situation somewhat improved in the 2030’s after both patents started working as truckdrivers. The family moved to a larger middle-class apartment in Chinatown. His son Ryuji came out as homosexual in 2038, to his surprise both Carlos and Svetlana were very supportive. Carlos sister Tami died in 2042, his soulmate Svetlana died in April 2043. Carlos cracked and lived on the streets for a short while, but picked himself up and was hired by his old employer R. Johnson. Working at R. Johnson WorkWear, until he retired in July 2044. Today he has rented a room in a large apartment at Moria Tower, belonging to Doctor Carmen Álvarez.

74 years old, Carlos Taka still likes to take a bus to the city, just walking around and maybe get a coffee somewhere.

Ya, I know - I don't even always know who the farter or mother is, before I check in a file. What can happen is that something shows in a picture, not yet mentioned - and later "are build". In any case no worries.

The current owner of the town circus Natasha Rodríguez, allegedly heard a rumor that the circus building was likely the next to become a national treasure. Due to the extreme value of the land, located at a very attractive area, she tore the building down and sold the land to Ramos Construction. Which in return constructed the new Bounty Tivoli for her. It is expected that Ramos Construction will build residential housing at the Circus ground. Bounty Tivoli, located close to Plateau Village tunnel in Presidente Jakub District, was ready in late June. Expected to open at the beginning of next month.

    July 2048

Sadly, the wood structure in the 130 years old parliament building was in decay and needed replacement. It was originally the plan to renovate, but the architects from López Construction concluded that it was almost impossible and suggested to demolish the entire building, and recreate it over a brand new concrete structure. After long debates in the parliament over the latest year, the concrete options was chosen and even more controversial, it was decided to relocate the government to North Jungle Nature Reserve. This was a very spilt decision, even within members of the government. Those against claimed that it was a bad idea to move the most important and central political institution out of Bounty City and/or that it was in direct conflict with the February 2020 “Preservation Consensus” to build in the Jungle Nature Reserve. Those for claimed that moving the parliament to Cepero Island, would be a great symbolic act, connecting the three Island better, with a central location in the middle of the nation. They also claimed that the Jungle Nature Reserve was already declining and, in any case, not mentioned in the “Preservation Consensus”. Which is actually correct.

February 2020 “Preservation Consensus”, Complete Preservation of: The two western islands belonging to Ayiti Native Nation. The West Jungle at D’Angelo Island. The Beach Jungle at Cepero Island. Partial Preservation of: D’Angelo East Jungle, Bounty Main Island’s East Jungle. Partial: can only be used for very essential raw material mining or tourism.

In the latest report, Amnesty International claims to have prove that Bounty Islands detain some of their more vicious criminals at mental institution “La Casa Nuestra Señora”, despite the fact that those people are not convicted in a courthouse and in some cases seemingly completely sane. Defense Minister Dmitry Kowalczyk, denies the accusations and explains that the mentioned patients have various mental disorders and were admitted voluntarily. But for the sake of their families, random journalists or NGOs, cannot gain access toLa Casa”

    Thanks for comments.

Tropico 6 is a major step forward - not to mention they have (first time in Tropico) just opened up for community mods.

I play the Month (or several months) then post the story of what happens with my chosen character(s). They are all actual in-game persons and families, but off course I twist the, or rather their, story(s) a lot. Their jobs - marriages - homes - children are (95%) in-game contents. I often change the function of buildings, give them my names and tell stories of their ownership that is story related and not in line with the game. Decided not to do many editorial comments, but if someone ask, will of course gladly explain a post relation to in-game facts versus story. There is also a bit of planning and preparing for storylines that will evolve further in later posts.

    September 2048

Over the years, many workers from Stoned Planks and HIQUEA Wood Saw Mill, have been taken to respectively Maria Bird Hospital and Miners Village Hospital with injuries to hands and fingers. After years of pressure from The Wood Workers Union, the Traffic and Logistics Ministry has enforced improvements to saw security at the mills. Decreasing the number of those serious work-related accidents with 72%.

Charlotte Sánchez lost a little finger last year.

    Luca S. Dubois, Oct. 2048

Luca S. Dubois was born November 2022, at the old Bounty City Hospital, at the time located a little north of the current hospital. When his parents lived at Sugar Square. Luca is the son of Myrthe Sullivan and Victor Dubois, grandson of Shana and Lucas Sullivan. Soon after the birth of Luca, the family moved to a larger apartment in Fenna Tower where he spent most of his childhood, playing with his two years older brother Carl. His father Victor got involved with Loyal to Familia, he left the organization but had to flee the city. The family was living at small apartments in Cepero Town, from 2035 to 2038, where Luca finished his 2nd level degree. In 2039 his mother Myrthe Sullivan got a position as project manager at Jørgen Jensen Agricultural Park, the salary was good and the family could move to a nice classic style apartment at Piotrowski Street, Lucia Village. 18 years old Luca started dating French immigrant Charlotte Sánchez. In late 2044 he got a job as greenkeeper at Santoro Golf Resort, and rented a cheap apartment at Shark Beach Road where he still lives. Chalotte moved in at springtime the following year. Chalotte got a job at Stoned Planks, unlucky with the saw, she lost a finger last year. The couple got no children.

    November 2048

The free immigration period, starting in November 2047 is about to end in just one month. It has resulted in the immigration of 90 people, the largest group coming from Italy. But as the result was positive, resulting in zero vacant jobs and an acceptable number of unemployed and homeless, the government will extend it with another year, hoping to see the tourist business and other industries expand, due to the new relative cheap workforce coming to Bounty Islands. This of course resulted in a lot of protest from the right-wing nationalist based around Nationalist Action and some protest from Green Revolution’s more extreme groups, claiming that rapid population growth is bound to result in pressure, on the already threatened jungle and wildlife on the Islands. Even inside in Government was some murmur from Workers Front parliament members, about the effect on the poorest part of the population, facing cheap competition in the search for jobs.

The latest three immigrants arriving to Bounty Bay was German Heike Hoffmann, British Robert Brown and Spanish Biel Ortiz.
