    Mikail Ahmed, Oct. 2026

Mikail Ahmed was born under the great drought in July 1970. The 2nd son of Martina and Ibrahim Ahmad. At the time his father was a truck driver, his mother plantation worker. A poor family, living a simple live in a rented apartment on Cepero Main. Ibrahim lost his job and was forced to work at the plantations just as his wife. The family was one of the first to move to New Village as it formed from the middle of the 70’s, they got a larger apartment as the family had expanded with little sister Yasmin. Mikail left his parents’ home just 17 years old to live with 13 years older gold miner Heike at Mountain Village. He never got an education and started his adult life working in the fields just as his parents. Heike got pregnant in 1990, they married and got their only child Kaamran. In 2009 Heike quit her job at the gold mine and took a job at her friend Weronika Taranowicz’s North Truck Service. In 2011 Mikail found new work as a guide in The Tequesta Tribe temples. Mikail’s mother Martina died in 2012, his father Ibrahim in 2019. Today Heike in 68 years old, tired from a long hard life of physical work, she has retired prematurely, receiving a little social welfare from the government and sometimes taking small jobs here and there. Mikail got bitten by a snake walking home from the jungle temple last year, it was not too serious, but he got scared and chose to find work elsewhere. He got a job at People's Market on South Coast Road, Cattle Road District. The family has moved into a small cheap apartment, across the street from the The Fishing Pier, Harbor District.

When not doing housework, Heike sometimes helps the fishermen, cleaning the fish or washing their nets, making a few extra coins.

German born, 26 years old Peter Koch came to Bounty Islands to instruct locals and tourist interested in climbing the many difficult cliff spread over the six islands. It was an interesting time, but he did not get enough costumers to make a living. Now he has opened the Northern Skies. Offering Hang Gliding from a location close to Mountain Village.

    January 2027

It was a huge surprise to most inhabitants on Bounty Islands, when it was revealed that former hippie, left wing, feminist and proclaimed lesbian Valeria Sullivan, was appointed member of Council of the Districts. The surprise turned into media event and political sensation then she announced than her first move would be to enforce paid education, literally making it impossible for working-class children, to get a higher education. The media talked about bribe from the higher classes and called upon the government to react, but nothing happened. President Martina Smirnov stated that council members decisions are not controlled by the government, within the constitution.

Short 2026 Report from State Statistics Department:

Top 3 Industrial Export: Cigars 69.806, Firearms 32.519, Boats 20.903

Top 3 Raw Export: Meat 17.920, Cocoa 9.245, Iron 8.068

Births Rate: 1,97%. Immigration Rate 3,33%. Death Rate 2,90%, Emigration Rate 0,0%

    Unemployed: 6,11% Homeless: 4,58%

The unemployed and homeless rates are now worrying, the government decided to restrict immigration.

This year Leone Bay Cheese Ltd will hold its 100’s anniversary. The cheese factory may not have been the most important financially, but it had and still has an important role in the welfare and health of the people. The factory was originally run by representatives of the milk producers. Today  it an independent limited liability company, with factory in harbor district and a modern milk farm in Plateau Village.

Verónica & Jimmy Sanz March 2027

Verónica Sanz is the widow after Carlos Sanz who died last year. Verónica was educated at President Smirnov’s School. In the beginning of 1975 she married Carlos, just 17 years old, at the time already pregnant with their first child Pete. They lived in the south part of Cepero Town. Sadly Pete died from an insect still just a small baby. They moved to Cattle Road Residential area as Verónica started working as a Laboratory Technician at Bay Cheese Ltd. They got their 2nd son Jimmy in 1983. In the early 90’s Verónica took a voluntary wage cut, to get creative position as exhibition manager at The Cultural House. Although she is officially retired, she still spends a lot of time in the cultural house and continues to produce her art, she is not famous but sell some of it to the occasional tourist passing her exhibition in her private house. Today Verónica Sanz is 69 years old.

Verónica Sanz’s small but nice home at the corner of Cattle Road and Forest Road. Passed by many tourists all year long.

Jimmy Sanz, the son of Carlos and Verónica Sanz, was born in 1983 in the family home at Cattle Road, a large apartment in a marvelous house next to The Purple Villa. Growing up in various fine apartment in Bounty City. Jimmy got a 2nd level education diploma, from President Smirnov’s School. He left his family home in 2002. Moving into a simple apartment at Plateau Village, getting his first job at the Llama Ranch in Plateau Village. Later he moved to South Cepero Road after getting a better job at Jørgen Jensen’s Greenhouses in Miners Village. Jimmy always knew he was not attracted to girls and he did have some secret and short sexual relationships with men. In 2024 he got a new job at Industri Zone Resque. Where he met Francois Moreau also a firefighter. They immediately fell in love. With the legalization of same-sex marriage by the new government in 2020, “The Ordre of Fen” proclaimed that they were not against homosexual marriage and that their nuns and monks would happily perform gay marriage at the Gaia’s birth of Jesus site. Something the other religious churches was against. Jimmy and Francois got married in 2025. Not the first gay couple, but amongst quite few. LGBT rights is still very new to Bounty Islands community, the tabu far from disappeared, especially amongst the elderly, the uneducated rural population and the strictly religious, believing every word in the book. Although they can afford much better, the couple lives in an old quite bad apartment on Ruben Ruiz Beach Road, the housing marked currently under pressure. Today Jimmy is 43 years old, Francois Moreau is 56.

    Helena Weber, September 2027

Helena Weber was born in November 1991, at the 2nd floor of a working-class apartment block from the late 70’s, on Old Banana Road, Plateau Village, just across the street from the bus stop. The daughter of plantation worker Javier Weber and truck driver Alba Weber. The only child in the family and coming rather late, both parents having past their 30ths birthday. In the late 1990 the family’s economy improved and they moved to Cattle Road Residential Area, sharing a nice house with the wealthier Brouwer family, both working at bounty bank. After having some small jobs in the local shops, she reentered President Smirnov’s School in 2007 and took her exams in 2010. Later the same year, she moved into the apartment of her boyfriend Álvaro Lope, at the 3rd floor of Ruiz Tower on Cattle Road. The north part of Cepero Town is now transformed into a huge building site. At the same time public transport is a mess with most bus lines either out of operation or temporarily reschedule. Families are struggling to find homes as so many buildings have been demolished, and the new residential areas are not yet ready.

    January 2028

After years of struggling with health issues related to smoking the United Nations have agreed to make a joined effort to enforce several harsh restrictions on tobacco, cigarettes and cigars. E.U. USA, Canada, Japan, China, and several other countries have agreed not to import tobacco and tobacco products, from tobacco made in greenhouses. On top of that cigar producing countries like Bounty Islands will be forced to reduce export with about 60%, not to be hit with high import taxes on other products they want to export. All this will take effect from 2035. The government is alarmed by this blow to our most lucrative export sector.

Short 2027 Report from State Statistics Department:

Top 3 Industrial Export: Cigars 73.548, Firearms 33.944, Jewelry 21.312

Top 3 Raw Export: Meat 24.357, Coal 6.645, Cocoa 4.657

    Unemployed: 6,73% Homeless: 8,07%

    Aleto Johnson Family, February 2028

Aleto Johnson was born in New Village Road, Cepero Town, October 1979. Aleto Johnson is the son of José Johnson, who was kidnapped in 1993 and today legendary businesswoman Yelena Johnson. Aleto spend most of his childhood living in Moria Tower, in this period owned by Johnson Holdings. Aleto took his 2nd level exams from President Williams School and later attended Bounty City University. Aleto fell in love with a hippie named Carmen Pérez in the beginning of 1997, while still studying. Carmen gave birth to their son in 1999. Aleto took a master degree from Bounty City University in June 2000, after which he left his family and permanently moved in with Carmen and their child Álvaro at free village “Fungus Town”, just outside Plateau Village. The situation in the hippie community slowly changed, activities like growing and selling illegal plants and other types of crimes increases and became more organized. The presence of Loyal to Familia became more and more obvious. Álvaro became a teenager and although the family generally liked the free village, they moved to a house on South Coast Road in 2012. In this period Aleto Johnson spend some time in the military, in 2015 he took a job with Jørgen Jensen A/S at Prison Road. After a few years at South Coast Road the family moved to a similar house at Connection Passway, a very desirable location next to Alicja Chapel. Aleto Johnson still works with Jørgen Jensen A/S, Carmen Pérez at the export center in Bounty Bay Harbor. They are both in their late 40's. Aleto lost his mother Yelena in 2027, they had disagreements in their view on life, but he loved her and misses her a lot. He does not care about the fact that his little sister got the power in the family business, he was never involved and never wanted to be part of all that.

Álvaro Pérez took his 2nd level exams from President Smirnov’s School and like his father continued his study at the university. Today he got a PhD and has started his own family. Will cover him and his family in a separate update later.

    December 2028

Terrorism have previously not been an issue on Bounty Islands, secret service have been aware of a few radical elements in the population, but haven’t arrested anyone, as they saw the threat to be minimal. The 16th of December a female so called “lone wolf” attempted to attack electrical installations at the edge of North Jungle.

    MF6hxq6.jpg

48 years old Constable Pedro Castro was alone, patrolling in his rather old and outdated M4 Sherman, produced in 1944. Bravely and without hesitation he encountered and killed the extremist. Pedro Castro were honored with a De-Jong Medal for his effort

Pedro Castro having a Cigar in his tank, after the incident.

    UtKIo2p.jpg

The De-Jong Medal is given by the defense minister to a soldier, setting his or her live at risk, with extraordinary courage, to project the nation. The medal was introduced by defense minister Antonio Sanz in 1974, in the memory of a female soldier Mila De Jong who was killed in the late 1800's, fighting invading pirates. Constable Castro is the first receiver.

This year it will be 100 years since Cepero Island got its name, just after Ruiz Strait Crossing was build and the Island had become accessible without use of a boat. Cepero Island is named after the leader of the transitional government, Cristina Cepero, who led the Islands until the first democratic election in 1930.

Mrs. Laurent had a studio in the Cultural House in the late 20’s, but did not become very popular and is almost forgotten today. The year after Yasmin was admitted to President Williams School. While still studying Yasmin met Naasir Al Najjar. They rented an old apartment at Cepero Main Waterfront, constructed back in the 1930’s. She gave up of her studies and they married in 1996. Had a daughter, Labiba, in 1999 and a son Vajid in 2001. Sadly, the son died from pneumonia in June 2005. Hoping her daughter would not end up without an education like herself, Yasmin was able to get her into President Smirnov’s School quite early. With the help of fertility treatments at the hospital, Yasmin gave birth to a 2nd son, Farooq in 2012. Yasmin lost her mother in 2012 and her father in 2019. Farooq turned out to be a clever child and has already passed the 2nd level exam, 17 years old. Today Yasmin Al Najjar lives with her husband and son in the tower block, at Sugar Road Residential Area. Working in a shop at Cepero Department Store. Naasir Al Najjar took a late adult education program and got a job at the small military outpost in Saint Mary’s District. Not very well paid, but better than his previous jobs.

Despite her mother’s efforts, Labiba was not a literary personality. She left the family without an education, to start a life of her own. We will get deeper into her life in a separate update.

    February 2029

Commercial gambling is not allowed on Bounty Islands, but the police and the government officials are aware of illegal gambling, like backroom roulette wheels and poker tables, taking place in several establishments. Therefor it was decided to include a government owned Casino, in the new residential areas replacing Cepero Main Waterfront. Attempting to draw tourists and local gamblers into a controlled and taxable gambling environment. The casino is not located exactly as in the original sketches, due to some issues with the sewage system. Now facing the newly established Waterfront Drive.

The leader of Nationalist Action since August 2027, Heike Edwards, died 64 years old. Just 7 months prior to the next election. She was replaced by 57 years old Russian born Lena Benítez, a former technician at D’Angelo Power.

The original idea of building a middle-class residential complex close to Cepero North Hospital, suffered from the fact that the area has a soft and unstable subsoil, as the area was formerly seabed. It will be difficult to make a solid foundation for such a tall building. Instead, the area got the beautiful Cepero North Park. The complex is postponed, but might be constructed in the New Village Area in the near future.

After the death of her farther she moved to a house on Cattle Road with her mother, where she finished a business degree at Bounty City University. The farther was a man she met at a holiday in Italy, he was not informed that he got a son. In June 2024 Moria Johnson’s mother Yelena Johnson retired and left R. Johnson Holdings in her hands. Yelena was alive and a big help and mentor for her daughter until her death in the beginning of 2027. After her mother’s death in 2027, Moria Johnson revealed the plans she had for R Johnson. In the near future she would split the corporation in two completely independent holding companies. R Johnson Holdings with everything related to clothing and fashion. HIQUEA Ltd everything related to wood and furniture. This would be effective from January 2030. Moria Johnson would continue to be the head of R Johnson Holdings. Yannick Van Dijk a well known and respected businessman would be hired to lead HIQUEA Ltd.

Moria and her son, moved back to Moria Tower, occupying the top floor. She prefers Cepero Town with its many parks and less stressful attitude, compared to life in the city.

The tower is located quite well next to Cepero Park Metro and the department store.
