'Implementing Impeachment' (City Loading Message)

It -seems- like someone added this to the game. I am not sure what mod this is. I am thinking it is a political message regarding Trump in the USA.

The arrogance of doing this. As if everyone has the same political views as you. As if I want my game soured by your take on politics. I am apolitical in a sense. I doubt I could even fully  imagine the mindset of the person who did this. LOL. Really disappointing to have this impede on the game experience. Oh and dont assume I support Trump because I dont want to see some idiotic political message while loading the game.

I have to wonder what the context could possibly be within the game. How it could possibly relate to the game in any ways. Regardless, I said "it seems" before giving my commentary, accepting that this was possible though it did seem unlikely.

In the old SimCity 2000 game, when the game was loading up, there was a recording of a voice that said "reticulating splines," one of the the messages that comes up on the list of what is displayed when SC4 starts up, and I am not sure if it had any "meaning."  I don't think the messages that are displayed "mean" anything other than "program loading," and are the programmers just being clever and coming up with some more sayings (the list looks like over 100) than "reticulating splines" that are "similar" and "clever" such as "gesticulating mimes" or any of the other sayings on the list.  As I said, I don't think any of the phrases really mean anythin, including "implementing impeachment routines," but if it does, it refers to the president at the time, GW Bush, or some other politician of the time. 

When my version of SC4 loads up, those messages are just displayed and not actually spoken.  It has been so long, I am not certain if that is because that is the way it is supposed to be, or because I have the sound in the game turned off.  I have the sound/music (at this point I can't even remember if the music and sound effects are controlled separately or together) off because I listen either accuradio or pandora when I play SC4.

The Sims Wiki has an explanation for Reticulating splines.

In terms of the loading messages, as Brian said it's all a bit of fun really. Some small imagination goes a long way in SC4 for most aspects, and so there's no harm in any of these messages (even if any do have subtle political references). Also maybe they aren't just random, but a highly advanced algorithm is behind their selection.

As an alternative to the standard Maxis loading texts, here's 3 other mods if fancying a custom compilation:

(Checking the IIDs which the LText entries use, they share the same which means only one can be used at once.)
