HI there all I am looking for a good sized park that can be "Plopable" ie. something along the lines of like a Central Park from NY City...... There was a time on the old SC4 exchange site that I saw a big park and I had it down loaded - it covered a good many tiles But since lost it somehow.....

Any ideas? or links?

Well, if you're patient, there is a Mega Modern Farm Pack coming soon, modern and realistic farms. You will have more farms and variety than you can probably handle. Have a look at my BATthread, where the explanation and pictures tell all.

Meanwhile search for "Nexis" and "CSX" on the STEX to find some lots with farms and cows and other farming stuff.

i noticed many are asking for a elrail over road station,

try this one

I always use a trick for this station on a road-avenue intersection, just follow these steps or else you cant use it on el rail over road

1. Place it on your desired location

2. Drag a road underneath it, transforming the el rail prop to glr puzzle piece.

3. Buldoze all of it, including the station.

4. You will notice, the station remains and it is now immortal. Now, place the elrail over road-x-avenue piece in the middle, then do the rest.

5. Dont use the transportation query on the station or else the game will crash to desktop.

I admit that I've not used this, but I would say that it does sound like it replaces the bldgprop files. If I'm understanding correctly, T Wrecks modified the files to make querying buildings created with Maxis props appear as any other building rather than as a prop. I'll look into using this to check it out...

where can I find realistic under-rail textures?

default Maxis textures are grass textures, which change to brown/gray when I plop something beside it, leaving all others with the grass texture.

I need consistency with the under-rail texture, maybe a dirty, industrial feel that stays as is even when I plop something beside it.

I have built a railyard, and all the rail lines in the middle get grass textures as there are no lots plopped near them, while all rail sidings have a diff texture because of train stations and other lots.

please help! badly need them.

and BTW, if I'm not asking for too much, coul you also please post additions like lots or mods for a more realistic rail yard. links are not necessary, I'll try to find them myself to save you guys the trouble. thanks!

There are probably some things I'm forgetting, but this is definitely a start.

These downloads SHOULD eliminate your problem regarding the texture problem in your rail yards, since they're transit-enabled custom lots with base textures instead of the in-game, draggable rail.

This mod will replace the "chunky" textures of the rail with something a bit more realistic texture.
