Hello.

Why my game crashes when my God mode brush forest reaches out of map? Basically can't let my brush hits our of map while planting trees.

I am using Pacific Northwest Tree Controller.

This is a well-known issue related to multicore processors (Sim City 4 cannot handle them well): If you hit the edge of a city with any custom tree controller, Sim City 4 will return to desktop. To solve it, you must make Sim City 4 use only one processor core. Please see this post on how to do this:

If you look at the thread linked by @11241036, it contains instructions (Posted November 5, 2014), on how to fix the problem by disabling multi-core when running SC4.

Do you like custom textures, but don't like all the work involved creating them?, take a look at the Texture Automation options here. Change the look and feel of your transit networks, with the minimum of effort, for example customised versions of my Sidewalk NAM (SWN) and Terrain Grass NAM (TGN) mods, and much more besides.

As a side note: Even vanilla will crash with the God Mode Tree brush if you stray too far past the edge of the map and that's on single core. (All my game comp has.)

Just to complicate things, if you have installed more than one tree controller (or slope mods in case of terrain brushes) they can interact and cause a CTD. Some horrible plugins management caused me to discover it the hard way.

Here is a couple of suggestions from @APSMS to a similar discussion in the farm thread not too long ago.  Maybe something here that will help?

Yes. There's a mod called Mega God Mode Tree Brush, however, it comes with the caveat that you can crash the game if you paint along the borders with the Big+ brush. (You can also crash the game with the regular, non-modded one if you stray too far out into the ether.) I haven't tried the aforementioned mod.

"I use whatevermind's mod that lets you plant trees in a square coverage area. Haven't had any CTD issues using it so far. Vortext treed his entire region by opening up each large city tile, going to Z1, and using the macros on his mouse and a particularly heavy marble on the Shift Key to tree each tile. After each city tile was done (seasonal HD flora; so about 5 minutes), he would move onto the next tile. I think he was watching TV or something while he was doing it. Drunkapple's speedy rendering tool is best used the same way."

"I suspect rotating the tile adjusts the moisture levels (ever so slightly) that control which trees get planted where, which would explain why you notice a difference between orientations."

Yes! I used this now, and I can carefully plant my trees without touching out of map. This mod helps me! Thanks for the help everyone!

I don't even use the mod itself, I merely updated a few properties in the Tree Controller directly that give the same effect. I think it changes like 2 or 3 properties and I've never experianced any CTDs. Not that I was really aware of this bug beforehand either, but I'm pretty sure having a larger brush solves things.
