I can make a rocky beach mod if needed.

That would be amazing!  thank you for the offer.  I am working on learning more about modding, but this is a bit beyond my current abilities.

Appalachian, Berner Oberland and Sudden Valley definitely all do, some others may as well. There is no such thing as a snow-mod in this sense, either the terrain mod covers this or it doesn't, since it's all linked to the terrain textures used after a specific elevation. Note for snow to look it's best, you may need to customise your Terrain Mod for each region which you are using with it.

Do you like custom textures, but don't like all the work involved creating them?, take a look at the Texture Automation options here. Change the look and feel of your transit networks, with the minimum of effort, for example customised versions of my Sidewalk NAM (SWN) and Terrain Grass NAM (TGN) mods, and much more besides.

I downloaded LK Appalachian Terrain Mod - WINDOWS (v1.0). I love the texture of the green terrain. However, I wanted sandy beaches and realistic looking waves to go along with this terrain.

So, I downloaded the HD sandy beach mod and a mod which makes it look like there are waves in the water. Overall, everything looks good, except certain areas where the water meets the beach look unnatural. It looks angular and boxy. It doesn't have a smooth flow along the coastline. Are there other beach and water mods out there that may be more compatible with the Appalachian Terrain Mod (besides the ones recommended to me--the one with a rocky coastline and dark blue water)?

Thank you @CorinaMarie

I believe the boxy waves are unrelated the mod itself -- that should simply be a function of how the game animates waves. You may want to play around with your graphics settings to see if that improves the appearance. (Note: It's been a while since I've played around with terrain and water mods and I might have this incorrect -- it's possible that playing around with different water mods will lead to more realistic looking waves.)

One mod that might be worth checking out is Xannepan's Poseidon Mod over on SC4D. It includes a number of water mods, including ripple effects, two different water color mods, and a number of paintbrushes that change the color of water and shorelines. Two caveats: 1) the mod is meant for advanced users, and some of the effects it includes can damage your city if used incorrectly; 2) the mod never made it past BETA release before Xannepan retired from modding, so it might be glitchy in areas.

As far as different water and beach mods, finding the right mix will probably take some trial and error.

You may want to start with the HD Beach Pack by Gobias. It includes 4 variants that have been specially tweaked to work with the Appalachian terrain mod. Gobias also has an HD Water Pack with 3 variants that are designed to work well with his beach pack. Maybe start with LK St Lucia Beach.dat or LK Cape Cod Beach.dat from the beach pack, then test each of the three "LK" waters to see if you can find a good match?

Late seeing this, but I suspect this isn't necessarily anything to do with the Beach/Water mods used, since those only contain textures. The make up of the coastline, or settings that determine how these blend together, are all contained within the Terrain Mod's Exemplars. This guide explains things well and tells you how to modify the various Properties that will alter the way things look (see section 4. Water).

Looks like they lapsed on paying for the site, and some d-bag company snatched up the domain in hopes of selling it back to them, or someone else. Typical internet bs.

I'm afraid that some of the linkys (as the Classic would say) in the initial post need replacement. I attempted to get my hands on "Meadowshire" terrain and the link redirects me to SC4E welcome page. However, upon using search button at SC4E, no results are displayed. *:(

I'm afraid that the turmoil caused by other sites will be creating havoc with links for quite some time. Especially with guides like this. I should know, I'll have 3 of them to re-edit myself. The last time, a few years back now, I had to fix 2, when WZ parted ways with the forum. That was a little easier, just a matter of deleting entries.

All of the c.p./cycledogg Terrain Mods are up at SC4E, but like many of the things we're doing to modernize and vastly simplify the experience of getting up and going with plugins, they're all part of a larger package, rather than individual downloads as they were on the LEX

Among the LEX DVD files, we found a nicely compiled version of all of his terrain mods in a non-ClickTeam installer (which I believe Andreas put together), with some extra bells and whistles to boot, and we've uploaded that.  It also includes the option to just install the terrain essentials files, for those who need them for dependency reasons, but don't want to use the actual terrain mods.  Meadowshire and friends are all in there.

You can pick up the Cycledogg Terrain Mods package at SC4E here.  There's also a similar Tree Controller package (also sourced from the LEX DVD) here.  My Wasco Terrain Mod (which uses the Cycledogg textures), Lowkee33's Appalachian Terrain Mod, and Gobias' terrain mods are also up.  We've also simplified the packaging on Lowkee33's and Gobias' mods, to eliminate the separate texture dependencies.  The whole Terrain Mods and Tree Controllers category can be found here, and there's also the Flora, Fauna, and Mayor-Mode Ploppables category here.

The description for them right now is very barebones, and the Cycledogg Terrain Mods description page doesn't mention Meadowshire by name, so that's why your search was unsuccessful.  That package was one of the first things we uploaded and at that point, we were in a rush just to get files up, to try to minimize the disruption to the SC4 content ecosystem.  SC4E's search is otherwise pretty solid.  We're attempting to get a tag system working as well (though it still has some quirks), and we're gradually going back to edit the description pages, to flesh them out and add images.

I have also been gradually getting redirects set up from specific LEX links to their SC4E counterparts, rather than that landing page, though I'm a bit behind on it at the moment, as my focus on site-related projects has been directed toward trying to restore more files.  Most of BSC Common Dependencies' content has redirects, and a few others do as well, but I haven't gotten those terrain mods to redirect yet.  I should be able to correct that particular case within the next day.

We've gotten over 1200 former LEX downloads restored in some fashion (many as parts of compilations--BSC Common Dependencies has over 160 previously separate downloads contained within it), so it may take us some time to get all of them redirected, but rest assured, we're working on it.

Thanks for "pinging" the location @Tarkus!

And where can I find the "Berner Oberland Terrain Mod (v1.0)" if I can pick your brain a little more?

You're welcome!  And Berner Oberland can be picked up here.

Also, for the sake of reference, Sudden Valley is here (and the previously separate texture dependency has been rolled into it), the Appalachian mod is here (previously separate texture dependency rolled in as well), and my Wasco Terrain Mod is here (currently uses the CPT Terrain Essentials out of the Cycledogg Terrain Mods package as a dependency--same setup also gets you the dependencies for any other mod that needs CPT No3 Terrain Textures and CPT No4 Terrain Textures).

I also went ahead and beefed up the file descriptions on the c.p./cycledogg packages, and confirmed that Cycledogg Terrain Mods does pop up now if you type "Meadowshire" into the site's search.  In addition, I added the redirects for them to the old LEX links (and started adding a bunch more . . . I haven't added the Gobias and Lowkee33 mod redirects in yet, but those will be forthcoming).
