    For today it's just some simple panel lines, the middle is transparent so it works on any concrete texture.

    Anybody can always suggest, i have a list of random ideas, but not all of them are reasonable, and i'm not going to make any road markings.

    I think I might start to run out of ideas half way through.

    Do snow decals exist anywhere in the workshop? If not, would you try to do this?

    Something like there is dark dirt decals, but in snow case - should be white.

    If you run out of ideas... You could make decals for roads warning car drivers to slow down. Maybe a "SLOW" or "SCHOOL" decal?

    Ronyx already has some snow for mountain tops - or are you thinking of something at a smaller scale?

    Some decals I've found myself missing:

    • Playground sand
    • Dead/dry/worn grass
    • Different types of dirt decals (both in size and texture)
    • Lichen/moss
    • Wildflowers (small ones like daisies and clover) or flowerbeds

    And then there's ofc the sports areas - we have football (American) by KingLeno, but no football (soccer) or baseball pitches. ;)

    Looking forward to seeing what ideas you have - your decals really showed us how much of a difference they can make! :D

    I would really like to see some Wildflower decals like a meadow texture. Possibly that have transparent grass so it blends in with the grass without flowers.

    I'll continue my snow village with the new ski lifts soon. So some more snow decals would be good.

    Maybe a slushy snow and a snow with footprints, or even a road.

    I have no doubt I'll download every decal you make.

    Magic is high fr multithreaded cpu + strong, high mem bandwidth GPU.

    Ive got an i7 4770k OC 4.6,32gb ddr 2133,gtx 780(sli in past) OC 1.2,OS SSD, RAM SSD, gaming SSD.

    resolutions-fps:

    2k(native)+4k (same fps, but "louder") - 25-50 fps

    5k-7k - 14-25

    Actually halfway through realized I don't need 1024x1024 for this so squeezed it into 1024x512.

    If I may chime in with a suggestion: broken asphalt decals. Not cracks, but worn out asphalt exposing old cobble stones underneath.

    In other news - ploppable asphalt might become a reality very soon, @TPB helped me with it, and added sliders so that the user can change the color of the asphalt props.

    I also tried other shapes, still not sure about the weird resize the shader does, but here's an (almost) circular shape i got working:

    Just if you didn't see my last post on this a month ago...

    it's a prop, it uses the upwardroad texture of the map theme (same as on roads), color can be changed, decals work on it.

     

    The mod will only enable the use of those props, so anybody will be able to make their own experimental props.

    Is it possible to make 1x1/2x2/etc... sized templates so that anyone with photoshop/gimp-skills can make decals without needing to make and export a box in a 3D-software like 3ds-max or blender?
    If I open these programs I'm usually a little bit overwhelmed.

    Yes, in the script, the second coordinate (y) is the height.

    Ploppable Asphalt update: now entire roads/intersections can be covered up and you can use your own decals to create a completely custom intersection.
