Big Modder Meetup?

I'm just sharing a random thought I just had after thinking about that Chirpy contest.

It would be interesting to meet all the people of the C:SL modding scene in reality! It could be the start of a big coalition between mod developers and asset creators. We could teach each other all the things we know about the modding process, and have a drink together

Maybe Paradox and/or the community would donate a part of the travel expenses.

What do you think? And also important: Where are you from?

I'm up North in the Netherlands, about half an hour from the German border. The Rhine-Ruhr is around 2.5h away for me, if we were to all meet up at boformers place

I don't consider myself as one of the core modders... But I'm somehow close to most of you guys - living in Zurich, Switzerland and working frequently in Berlin/Munich/Hamburg/Düsseldorf and sometimes further away.

If you get organized for a meeting I might be somewhere close and would love to get together IRL.

Another person from Holland here, the lovely city of Groningen to be more specific (which is situated in the north, about two hours from Amsterdam/Bremen, three hours from Rotterdam/Hamburg/Hannover/northern Ruhr-Gebiet).

Okay now our central meetingplace is in the North Sea just off the coast of Wick (Scotland) 

But if I choose Sydney instead of a generic 'Australia' we're even further West, just off the coast of the Isle of Harris  Antipodean calculations make my head spin!

Me and AJ3D are the Hoosier outliers. And the random Australian. How I'd get to Europe is anybody's guess. Some sort of flying contraption with turbofan engines and extremely tiny seats, I suppose. I flew to Philly on an A-319 a few months ago, that was actually fun, but only a 2 hour flight. I didn't have an ID at the time, which meant extra TSA screenings. I'd need to get a passport in this case... In any case, I make literally zero dollars, so unless this is all-expenses paid, I'll need to stay home

Although I reckon a transcontinental meetup would be pretty expensive

Brooklyn NYC in the house! Seems most of you are across the pond. I need to visit some of my roots in London and Scotland anyway.....but then I also have stronger roots in Jamaica. I'm all mixed up.

Meeting in person might ruin our avatars. Like when I read BoldlyBuilding's posts, I hear the voice of the Captain of Starfleet.....in architect form. And I assumed Koesj was in Asia. Maybe we could meet in costumes and drink lots of beer

Many modders are from the Netherlands. Or not? Duisburg is near the Netherlands and Cologne.
