Nothing would change from anyone's perspective, except for the time travel who is living in the moment and is aware that he has gone back into the past. I'm convinced traveling back in time is not possible but if it somehow was then everything that the time traveler changes happens in 'real time' basically there is no future at that moment so nothing is being changed. Also, I don't believe that traveling back in time would somehow create a divergent timeline. It doesn't matter how dramatic the changes one makes to the past, the Earth constitutes an infinitesimally small portion of the universe. How would any change made on the Earth, no matter how dramatic, or the act of travailing back in time itself somehow suddenly cause the entire universe and all the matter and energy within it to essentially duplicate into a parallel universe? The idea of such certainly captivates ones imagination but logically it doesn't make any sense.

Anyhow as I was saying, the time traveler doesn't actually change anything, they were always going to be there and do whatever it is that they did in the past. But what if the time travel killed his descendants you ask? Well, there's two possibilities to that, either A) he doesn't, because if he did he wouldn't be there. Or B) and this would be the one I would be more inclinded to believe - It doesn't matter. Once the time traveler goes back into the past he's no longer 'connected' to anything from the past, present or future. He/she is just a small amount of physical matter after all. Matter can't be created or destroyed, it can only be converted from energy and vice versa. So the traveler wouldn't just magically disappear suddenly or be effected in any way for that matter, you could say they are now part of/only connected to the present time. 

 
What if virtual reality became indistinguishable from reality and it became normal for people to live their entire lives in a fake utopia created by such a construct, would you join them or do you think you would still live in the real world?

Not much would change as we're well on our way to such a system, most people where I live don't handle cash at all anymore. There would probably still be some physical form of underground currency though for those who live outside the system. Funny enough I almost exclusively use cash for most transaction. There's just been too many attempts made to withdraw money from my accounts in the past. Eventually I'll just have to open a second account with a limited balance for those frequent smaller transactions.

What if Clinton won the election, would this effect your life in any way?
