I've also been looking at some of my old buildings, some are in a bad need for an update. Modelquality is  worse for some than others though. I'll probably have to redo some completely. The Boyard-Condict Building was my 3rd building and it had 2048x2048 textures, no custom lod, a very bad illumination map and a lot of intersected geometry. So I thought I'd do a small update on it, but ended up doing a complete remodel. Turns out it was 20 meters to high as well.

Here's the new model: 1600 tris less (3800 triss), on a 2048x512 texturemap and with a lot more detail.

Gorgeous! I always liked your older buildings (your Puck Building set as well), but never subbed them because they were rather heavy (7-8MB iirc.), and the texture work on the sides was rather crude (pet-sized bricks and such ;) ) - they kind of stood out a bit too much. I'm definitely going to sub any refurbished model(s), though!
I a way it's fun - and also confronting, slightly embarrassing even (at least that's how I feel when I open ancient websites of mine in my editor) to open old projects But this is a perfect illustration of the qualitative quantum leap your assets have made!

Yeah, I hadn't figured out how I could stretch the uv map at that time, that side brick texture really had too much contrast as well. I tried to improve the Puck building as well sometime ago, but the model is just in such a bad shape I'd better just start over.

I hope you didn't spend too much time on the Mott Building, because as soon as it spawned I got a sense of déjà vu. Here's why:

The one on the right is called H1 3x4 Tenement07 - you guessed it, a vanilla asset :WinkNew:
Some even already uploaded a 2x4 wall-to-wall version: Tenderloin.

It still looks great, though (as does Le Parisien)!

Yeah I knew there was one double, I decided to plot most of them on a 2x4 corner lot though, so I needed a lvl 2. :) This is also I can make 2x4 cornerlots in the future.

Is there any way to add the rails to the fire escape from the newer version? It looks kinda weird without.

Also, it's cool that it's a mirrored version of the vanilla CS building. That could be handy. I actually use the vanilla one a lot. I made a 2x4 lot size version in the asset editor and it works as a w2w building, particularly on a corner. Having a mirrored version for an opposite corner could be really useful.

Let's keep the CIM2 building to that discussion. Something went wrong with the alpha map that I didn't notice. You should receive an update.

Here´s one of my current projects: Belgravia condominium. It'll be part of a condominium update, together with some condominiums of Prosper. It's more or less done modelling wise. Only problem: it's 20m wide. So that's right in between 3x3 and 2x3. Not sure what to do with that. It's really a w2w building. So I'd might scale, unless someone got a better idea.

But it's so nice! :P I guess I'll have to be patient. Sounds very interesting with a larger update - I'm sure it will be awesome :D
