bringing back from the dead because i have not been able to figure this out at all. i downloaded the traffic manager from https://github.com/VictorPhilipp/Cities-Skylines-Traffic-Manager-President-Edition

i unzipped the file and place the tlm file in the mods and even assets folder but when i clock on content manger and mods in the game, i only get 3 options. unlimited money, a difficulty setting etc... i never see the traffic manager at all. what am i doing wrong here. all the videos i see when adding mods do not reflect what i see in my game.

I'm aware of how to install mods in Workshop, but I'm wondering if there is an easier way to clear out assets other than going through each and every one? My Skylines updated, now it's crashing at the menu again. I'm below 1100 assets, but I've decided to unsubscribe from a few buildings that haven't been updated since the game was release and many of the buildings have props that are no longer required. There has to be an easier way to do spring (autumn) cleaning than this.

Going through each and every asset within the game is tedious, as unsubscribing from the workshop takes for ages and resets the list to the start. If you do it from the main C:S Workshop page in a regular browser and use "Subscribed Items" in the drop down menu below "Your workshop files", you can see 30 items per page and can unsubscribe from each one with a simple click. Tip: Start from the last page, so you don't miss those items that moved one page back because you deleted stuff from the page before.

Well I installed the Don't Crash mod using the --noWorkshop workaround. Re-enabled all Workshop content and miraculously the game has stopped crashing. Menu feels sped up. Wonder if it was the query/updating of 1000+ mods that was causing the game to overload, but then that problem stopped happening awhile back when I last cleared out.

Regards assets that have been removed by their authors, is there an easier way of filtering them? Like you said it is tedious going through each one, even when using it from a browser though, rather than in game, especially with 108 pages of them.

Those queries are a pain, yes. They take a lot of time. The Loading Screen Mod from the same author also helps a lot, as it removes duplicate textures.

I'm not quite sure what you mean by "assets that have been removed by their authors". They should just disappear from your subscriptions by themselves after a while. If the author used a specific naming scheme, you can at least search folder 255710 as long as the asset isn't gone yet. If it's just about identifying issues, the Loading Screen Mod can write a full report on this (if you tell it to), which you can find in your AppData Cities Skylines folder.

You should not have 108 pages when you switch to 30 items per page instead of 10. Going through 36 pages takes a while, but I do that from time to time. I have moved part of the items to the local asset folder though and sorted them into named folders, which reduces subscriptions. RICO assets and props should stay workshop subscriptions though.

Quick question, how do all of you deal with the DLC updates?

I read to start game in offline mode and set the game to only update when game loads but I can't seem to load my saved games in offline mode

I just want to prepare so I don't have a meltdown if this Parklife crashes my game save I have put so much time into

Offline mode isn't working atm. The last patch to Steam broke that. You can turn off your internet after opening steam and before loading the game if the game is set to only update when launched.

I usually just dive in, but I also mostly spend patch day testing mods to see what's broken and help compile a list. Most mods are back up and running now, only a few of the really important ones are missing. I'm keeping a list over on the official forums, which I'll keep updating over the next week or so.

Just curious I was wondering does installing Cities Skylines mods from Simtropolis manually allow the game to run smoother versus subscribing through steam?

Please feel free to comment, like and/or subscribe to my New York City recreation CJ....Thanks *;)

Nope. At best you have a few sec less when the game opens the first time. But on the other hand several mods break when installed manually and you'd have to update manually every time there's a patch. When you're subscribed you'll automatically get the update. Imo it isn't worth the hassle.
