I am desperately trying to install NAM44 with no result:
I run the network...version44.bat, cmd window with 4GB installation OK, press a key ... and there ... NOTHING!
First I got a cmd window telling me that it couldn't find the 4GB patch. Then it accepted the install, knowing anyway, that I had done an installation of NAM43 (so 4GB patch already valid).

I tried to re-install NAM43, just to see what happens, and there, refusal to install the 4GB patch, several times (admin mode or not) before finally accepting. But there too, after the cmd window, NOTHING! I can't install NAM44 nor go back to NAM43 !
Does anyone have a solution?

Try using the NetworkAddonMod_Setup_Version44.jar NOT the BAT version.

I am assuming you already had a4gb patched version of NAM installed.

This worked for me on WIN 10

Maybe you are having an issue with your Java installation. Try using the  JDK installer included

Can this be fixed? Do I just need to remake all the overpasses and level crossing?

Looks like the IDs may have changed, so just click around or otherwise rebuild any problem areas and it should fix that up. If not there is a missing texture, hence why the ‘test’ pattern appears.

Do you like custom textures, but don't like all the work involved creating them?, take a look at the Texture Automation options here. Change the look and feel of your transit networks, with the minimum of effort, for example customised versions of my Sidewalk NAM (SWN) and Terrain Grass NAM (TGN) mods, and much more besides.

I tried that and when you build a new crossing for hybrid rail the same thing happens.

I think it is a missing texture. maybe 2 missing.

How long would it take to fix this?

I still have NAM 43 is there something that I can edit?

Sorry for the delay.

Here is a patch set for the affected issue.

Drag and drop the "~NetworkAddonMod_Patches" into the plugins folder.

With the "HybridRailway_Texture-Sets_LevelCrossing" patch, only one file needs to be selected corresponding to Drive side and EU or US.

Thanks

Eggman121

That was not much of a delay.

My Sims were complaining about the test pattern blinding them when they where crossing the tracks though.

I will install now

Will this fix the under bridge problem also?

The level crossing are working great thank you for the quick response.

The draggable underpass for the avenue is still messing up.

Do I need to try rebuilding this? It was working with the old gray textures.

Check the loading order of your plugins. I just conducted a test of the patches, they work correctly if they load after the NAM installation. Type z_ before the folder's name containing both patch files, making sure the folder is in Plugins.

Don't mind the custom texture on this example. Your HRW crossing should look like this when the patches load correctly.

Here is my plugin folder do you know what I am doing wrong?

I do not remember why the z___RRW_Texture Pack Overrides is in there. Is this included in NAM now?

It isn't. The z__RRW_Texture Pack Overrides looks like a cosmetic mod for the RealRailway. By any chance, did you download any of those made by @TheCouncill0r, @rivit or @Eggman121?

I have GRL Tunnels

What did you use to make the overpass. I think I used the draggable flubs.

I tried bulldozing but it came back. This was ok with the gray texture Hybrid

Make a new folder in Plugins, name it (Copy and paste from here to be sure):

z______LoadLast

Stick the patch in there. Any time you can't seem to get an override to work, stick it here to be certain you don't have a conflicting file loading after it. Ideally, even if this works, you want to find a better permanent home for things, otherwise you risk a folder tug of war of sorts.

Couple points on load order that might be useful (see here if you want the full version):

  1. Contents of subfolders will load after the files in an earlier folder.
  2. The game essentially does 2 passes, non-DAT files, then DAT files, meaning a file in a .DAT will always override items with the same ID, even if the .DAT logically loads before say an SC4Lot or SC4Model file.

Lastly, if you want to check for conflicting files and to find where they are, this method is very handy.

Hello,

I hope you guys can help. I just downloaded the new version of NAM and for some reason it does not seem like the FLEX ramp are automatically generated by the game anymore. I used to create small lanes to turn to the right just by using the one-way road tool at the corner between avenues or roads, but now only regular roads appear.

Is anybody having the same issue or am I doing something wrong?

Attached what I get vs what I want (in red)

Thank you!

Go to the NAM documentation's Turn Lanes Feature Guides (liked below). To build slip lanes, you draw a 1-tile OWR stub on the exiting side, then build a perpendicular road stub to connect to the merging side. Here's the illustrated building process.

Thank you so much for helping out.

I am reading the guide and I am a little lost, got a bit rusty with the time.

The guide says:

"In order to install the FLEX Turn Lanes, select the "FLEX Turn Lanes (FTL)" checkbox, which is located under Additional Features and Customizations > Turn Lanes, and is visible after clicking the "+" sign to expand the menu. "

Is it referring to the NAM setup during the installation? I can't find the option.

Glad to be of assistance!

And yes, that refers to the installation options. You'll find the selected items in your menus once you install your NAM version with its corresponding options. The NAM feature guides require a significant reorganization and upgrade, one of the most recent changes is renaming Additional Features and Customizations to Network Features.

Unless you want cosmetic options or the legacy / obsolete puzzle pieces, your installation should be complete for NAM 44's current and up-to-date content. The Flexible Turn Lanes for surface roads (road, one-way, avenue and NWM) fall under the Network Widening Mod and Turn Lanes option.

Is this;

incompatible as of NAM44? Or is it possible to restore the previously used textures?

Thanks.

I believe some changes went on under the skin in the HRW that essentially mean the mod has to be updated, but @Eggman121 is surely more knowledgeable in this area so I've given him a 'ping'.

Currently this mod is incompatible as it is designed to work with NAM 39 while NAM 44 has added additional pieces. However, there is the work in progress a reskin that from that gray and modern color

Maybe it's best to wait for the update, but I've used this set since it came out on each successive verion of NAM since. Form my experience, there's only one of the turn out-pieces not completely covered (it's a newer one). There may also be a couple minor things, and I don't use the same textures as shown on the download page, but it does the job. For what it's worth.

Have you tried it with NAM44? It worked up till NAM43 but as of 44 something seems to have been changed under the hood and it no longer functions.

I think it must be something beyond my depth, I tried copy/pasting the entire 'HRW Textures' from NAM43 over the NAM44 ones and it still retained the RRW textures lol. So it must be something a bit more advanced.
