The CAM traffic controller is obsolete and had been for some time.  If you have the latest NAM, you should remove the CAM controller.

So is there another controller or option ?

So, I don't know exactly how to explain it, but the RHW-6 transition to elevated seems a bit odd. This doesn't happen with RHW-4 though. I wonder why that might happen?

Those are the legacy transitions for the RHW 6S. The FLEX Onsope transtions will override to the correct type if you place them down. There is an L1 and L2 version. As far as your question is concerned the Elevated RHW 6S has had a slight geometry change since NAM 31. The onslopes in your picture are the old Puzzle Piece Onslope transtions.

Thank you! I should read properly the whole menu description next time.

On the left is what I get when I interconnect Mis to NWM's OWR-1 to OWR-2 transitional piece into the Avenue...

Did you know you can simply drag a normal OWR through the avenue and then drag MIS into the OWR stubs to get an automatic transition to OWR. That would be much simpler than using NWM transitions and it looks a little nicer too.

I did try that after I posted this, and though it does look better, it still has stop lights only on the Avenue. That...and those ugly arrows..lol Are they going to still stop at the intersection? Oh...and I had to use OWR transistion because I have to come off of a 90 degree Mis...which leaves me with those little two lane stubs.

There are three options in the installer to halve the number of arrows on the OWR, another to eliminate all arrows except at intersections and another to keep all arrows except at roundabouts. Just rerun the installer, choose the custom option and choose one from the cosmetic options. The installer will select what you've already installed for installation, so you shouldn't loose anything. I don't think that the OWRs have any stop points, so they'll never stop at intersections; this should only be a problem in UDI mode.

I realized I had committed an error saying that the problem I have was related with CAM? What I meant to say was that I have problems with the Nam traffic simulator configuration tool. The first time I changed some settings it worked, but now it doesn't let me save my new configurations saying that and error had happend and it's possibly because sc4 is running, and it isn't. Please help and sorry me for my English.

Omit the CAM controller and simply install NAM 32.  They conflict with each other.

I had this problem before; usually you'll have to delete the old Simulator config file before it will let you change the settings. This is because deleting the file prevents the system from thinking that something is using it. Unfortunately if you've changed any settings these won't be retained, and you have to remember what you had before, but if this is your first time editing the simulator then don't worry about it.

You can try running the NAM installer as an administrator a second time (select all the same options) and see if this affects the whole "SC4 is running" issue, but I'm not sure. I can't remember if that worked for me or not, and I can't replicate it because I recently did a system reinstall and no longer have the problem (fingers crossed!)

Well, I tried uninstalling and installing it again and it worked, thanks. Also, I realized I would have to do this operation every time I want to change simulator's settings, but I think it' better than nothing, isn't it?

One thing you should do after running the TSCT and it has terminated.

Some programs become zombie processes and hang around in the task list.  Check your task list after the program terminates and make sure it really has, and this applies to SC4 as well.  This is a long-standing bug in operating systems that never seems to get fixed.  The final phase of the process terminator gets interrupted or something and never gets back to finish what it was doing.  Perhaps something wrong in critical section processing.

If you find you have zombie processes you can usually kill them.  Failing that, booting the machine gets rid of them.

I would have suggested this, but when I had this problem SC4 failed to show a running process in Task Manager (I keep it running in admin mode at all times). A reboot and a process kill usually doesn't solve the problem, so a creative solution is usually necessary.

Last night, I installed NAM 32 for my Windows 8.1 Laptop. While the installation was successful, I am experiencing an issue which is significantly affecting my cities. I constructed a NAM highway for my town last night. Once it was completed, I built a solar power station within reasonably close proximity to my highway. When I built the power station, the roads nearby completed disappeared (including some of the highway). A few minutes later, I exited the city and re-loaded it again. I then decided to build a fire station nearby, to experiment whether the issue only occurred from the power station. However, the same thing happened again! When ever I build something nearby (such as a park, building), the roads in close proximity always disappear. Has this happened to anyone else before and is there anyway in which I can resolve it? Thanks.

What happens if you force a re-draw of the image (press the 'g' key twice)?

For better answers we need a description of your machine.

Yes, it's true and even I tried to restart the PC, but it showed the same error window; as you have said, maybe it' s a OS issue. Since I'm not skilled at Pc's functions, I can only speculate, but most posts here including yours are really helpful.

it really sounds like a hunk of malware has hit you.  Have you tried it on a different machine known to be clean?

That sounds like a graphical issue.  I'd try changing the graphical settings on your system, possibly going to software graphics as opposed to hardware, or changing the detail settings.  There have been some Windows 8.1-related issues that I've heard of, but as I'm on regular Windows 8, I don't have any first hand experience with it.

I changed SimCity4 from Hardware to Software and I haven't had any more issues. Thanks for your help. :)

Thanks for your response A Nonny Moose, but I figured out what the issue was a few minutes ago. :)

You should post the answer here, in case it happens to someone else.

Anyway, I came here to report a graphical bug (probably a render error) for the Modern Arched rail station included in the NAM

It happens at zoom 3, viewing from the southeast (and a smaller glitch at zoom 4 from the northwest.)

Hi. I have a problem with building an elevated RHW level 2. I tried to build it from starter pieces, from hight transitions and by ploping starter piece on existing network, but all I get in result is ground level of RHW-2. Other levels work correctly, the problem only with level 2.

I can't find the resolve of such problem and even the discussion of such topic. Maybe because of my bad English. So I ask you to help me, please.

..... the problem was resolved by reistalling NAM. Maybe some files was lost...

Anyway, now all levels work correctly. Sorry for disturbing.

Hi, I noticed SAM do not contain any textures for the 45° and 90° curves, want to know if there is any fixes for that. Thanks.

Should have mentioned it was the "Wide Radius Curves", not angle  :kitty:

They just show up default street textures - in case of no other street texture mod installed; pic below is with RVT mod.

No override textures and RULs have been made for that. At least, not for the draggable curves

That's something I've wanted to see or do with the NAM for a while. If this happens, then I'd actually use SAM.

Actually there are a couple puzzle pieces for SAM 3, 4 and 7 only which you can find as part of the Rural Roads Plugin (find near FLUPs in Road menu), but for the other networks you are out of luck.

Head over to my Lot and Mod Shack to keep abreast of my latest developments.

Do you like custom textures, but don't like all the work involved creating them?, take a look at the Texture Automation options here. Change the look and feel of your transit networks, with the minimum of effort, for example customised versions of my Sidewalk NAM (SWN) and Terrain Grass NAM (TGN) mods, and much more besides.

New to the NAM? Check out my tutorials on YouTube. Latest upload: How to: RHW - MHO Roundabout Interchanges. (Nov 25).

p.s. - I'm MGB over on SC4D and a member of the NAM team.

After purchasing a new desktop, I've been spending a lot of time re-installing all of the plugins.

I'm unable to re-locate the plugin which contained elevated road and street puzzle pieces.

I'm also unable to find the rail puzzle pieces that included the wide radius 90 degree rail curve.

Can anyone share the links?

Thanks in advance.
