Anyway, isn’t it time for Ganaram Inukshuk, jondor, z1, and Tarkus to get some sleep now? I mean, it’s 4:20 AM in their time zone [GMT-8], isn’t it?

EDIT: I’ve replaced the round brackets with square brackets.

Looks like I'm gonna have to play messenger here.</derpyhooves> I'm gonna "retweet" something from our resident Armadillo here:

The installer is 206MB. Zipping up the installer actually increases it a few kilobytes, due to the file header. Should be open for business in about 15 minutes. Thank you to everyone for their patience during this process.

My sleep cycle is absolutely upside-down, so now I go to bed at 08:00. Luckily, I've no morning classes. Or Saturday classes.

You mean 8:00 in the morning, your time?

EDIT: Below quote from SC4D, again:

Yes.

Actually, and a little off-topic, 04:00 GJTZ Time is when Direwolf20, one of my favourite Minecrafters, posts a new video, and he does this on a daily basis, but he makes many many videos in advance to do so.

Yesterday, he was late by about 30 minutes, but even then, his fanbase didn't even make much of a riot, and I can safely say the same for with the NAM fanbase.

Yes.

That means you don’t go to sleep until 11:00 AM, my time [GMT-5]!

EDIT: It’s here! Download by clicking this link!

As a NAM Team Member, I should say it so that it's official: Yes, it's now available. https://www.sc4devotion.com/csxlex/lex_filedesc.php?lotGET=851

Official announcement: https://www.sc4devotion.com/forums/index.php?topic=15481.msg452559#msg452559

And in a nutshell:

- Everything that has been separate from the NAM (RHW, SAM, HSR, etc) will now be a part of the NAM package itself, except for the DBE.

- No, you don't need to destroy anything. The only thing that you will likely have to destroy is any rail-based DDRHWs. Because of an unforeseen bug, I recommend that they be replaced. Don't worry, there's now a new way to draw them.

- No, you probably don't need to uninstall anything. The installer's way smarter than it was in the past.

- Remember how we said that the NAM's primary focus was RHW and PS? Not entirely true. There's some new SAM toys and (cue fanfare) transit stations.

Where are the filler pieces for RHW? And what's with that L1 Road piece acting like that? And why does L1 only have on-slope transitions? Do I need to transition to L0 to go between L1 and L2?

For those of you wondering about the status of the new NAM getting up onto the STEX, it will be up in a bit.  There are a few things we'll need to do logistically to make that happen, so stand by on that front.  In the meanwhile, it's up at SC4 Devotion.

Thank you all for your patience, and on behalf of the entire team, we hope you all enjoy the release.

Cleanitol is now built into the installer. ;)

I just want to say thanks to the NAM team. I personally believe the Network Add-on Modification is the single best mod, and the largest reason this game is still worth playing. All the others mods, bats, and lots, this entire community in fact, wouldn't be here without the fine and selfless efforts of the NAM team. Thanks again guys, now I'm going to send the next 2 days straight playing with me new toy, : )

One small question: when will the documentation (especially the readme) be ready? (Tomorrow, withing a week, month,...?) :)

Well I downloaded the new Nam but unfornately none of the replacement pieces for Symphony are there I have uninstalled and re-installed 7 times and even removed my old Name files too see if there was something I was doing wrong. I selected standard setup at one point and then custom but nothing there. If I go into the doc file the information is there about it but nothing has changed with my Maxis highways. Is there a certain icon I have to click on the game to find it? I have tried looking through everything I have and there is nothing. Do I need the D.A.M.N. manager file to find it? If so please let me know.

Thanks,

James

Edit: Resolved this by going into custom setup again and making sure Maxis overide textures was checked. Sorry to bother.

Yeah. We couldn't finish the documentation in time because we had EVERYTHING ELSE to fix before release, while the release date timer hang as the Sword of Damocles above us. Set release dates, never again...

By the way, we had an interesting discussion within the team if we put into the installer "Project Symphony" (the nickname of the mod) or "Maxis Highway override" (the actual function of the mod). Eventually, the latter one was from a software designing point of view better for the people who don't know Project Symphony at all. But I can understand the confusion...

Well, horrible lesson learned.  Again.  I used to fight tooth and nail to keep from announcing a target date, and I usually lost.  After all it is hard to stomp on the guy who signs your pay cheque.  Target dates result in a lot of midnight oil being consumed.

From the outside it looked as though you were having a 'just one more feature' problem in sawing things off.

Well, horrible lesson learned.

What makes you say this? We chose to make a release date public and knowingly went into it with both eyes open. Sure we felt the pressure of a deadline, but that also helped motivate us to get something that was highly anticipated and in development for 18 months done.

Say what you want about making a release date but it has certainly rekindled a lot of attention for SC4. There have been over 1,000 people on Simtropolis all day and we broke one-time records on SC4Devotion. (Not to mention hype on other places like the official SimCity forums and the SimCity Reddit.)

Thank you NAM team for this expansion pack! I installed and just had a look around in game but did not hit the play button. Just surfed the menus so far.

I recently used DATPacker (did not pack the NAM or any mod, texture, props or essentials) and installed on that existing plugins folder with the "compressed plugins". Should I have installed on an unpacked plugins folder or is it fine? Does Cleanitol work on compressed plugins folders? So far I see no problems in game after installation except for a few missing textures and props on train stations that came with v31. Also I still have the old hole digger lots in the menu as well as the new ones that came with v31. Is there a difference?

While I'm here....... I will be using the High Speed Rail for the first time. I looked at the HSR transit hub station.....does a subway connect to it and where? It's bright green when in subway mode and do not see the subway connection if any is there.

I am loving draggable far! I've always kept away from it, but now I've spent all day creating angled roads, and smoothing the curves.
