Ah, great photo Seraf! I wonder how they took that? Hot Air Balloon, or Airship maybe...

And yes, much better copper colour, thanks! I had to desaturate it it a lot, but looks much better. She was starting to look like an Oscar

Here she is on a grassy mound instead of the terraces. Thoughts?

Edit:

Ps: Oh yes, it will be an overhanging prop Mushy.

Hahawell now that you mention it,the older rendering of the historic Lady Liberty indeed kinda looks like an Oscar :D

After seeing this copper one i have to admit, this one looks much better.

And nice idea of aging the light grey paving with darker spots.Say,was this a whole texture or are those grey slotches some kind of overlay?I ask because some people mentioned that the present day Statue`s pavement looks too new and clean.Maybe you could give it a try and add that dirt overlay to the pavement of the present day statue.Just a small brainfart by me.

it looks amazing! The only only but not necessary thing is to lighy her up a bit more during the night.

This is probably the most exciting (upcoming) BAT release in a long time! Your statues are quite impressive (and probably pretty tedious to produce :] ).

It's also pretty exciting to hear you have more Melbourne stuff in the works... those tend to be quite useful buildings. :thumb:

I think it's perfect... And it's a shame you don't want to.. Your skills for buildings like the World Trade Center.. Or the One Bryant park.. Basically any glassy building would be awesome.. But I guess everybody has a taste for batting.. And so just having you done this.. Well it's pretty damn good for us! So thank you.. Honestly!

Whoa!!!!Now the statue is perfect. The dirt overlay really ads the final touch to the pavement and that nightlighting...

I also wouldn`t mind seeing you and your awesome skills being involved in the NYBT Team, but as we know everyone has it`s favorites. But i`m very sure, what ever you`re batting,it will blow away our minds.

Sorry for sounding a bit rude. Don't take my comments too personal or serious ;)

I like the original base better. About the grass, it looks a bit "stretched" and the camera angle causes the grass to look visibly repetitive. Is it a custom made map in the Slate Editor? If so, why not add some more overlay or randomize maps there :)

Don't get me wrong, I would LOVE to recreate the financial district of NYC, there's something very alluring about the southern tip of the Manhattan skyline, but:

1) Contrary to popular myth, I don't have a sweatshop and there's only one of me :P

2) The financial district is notoriously difficult to recreate in SC4.

Not ruling it out, but I still have a few things I need to finish for Melbourne, not least of which is a WiP list as long as my arm...

Toothless Stitch, too late! .. but thanks :D

The Statue of Liberty is now available for download, but seeing as its Easter you will need to go on a Easter Egg hunt... let's just say its somewhere where the trolls can't get at it :D

Thanks everyone for your help and support getting this finished :D

Both versions look wonderful! Thank you so much for making them :) I think it might take me a while to find out where you hid this statue... :P

"Is it not cruel to let our city die by degrees, stripped of all her proud monuments, until there will be nothing left of all her history and beauty to inspire our children? If they are not inspired by the past of our city, where will they find the strength to fight for her future? Americans care about their past, but for short term gain they ignore it and tear down everything that matters. Maybe… this is the time to take a stand, to reverse the tide, so that we won't all end up in a uniform world of steel and glass boxes." - Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis.

Wow! :O Simply amazing work, almost as spectacular to watch as the construction of the real Lady Liberty! The night lighting is beautiful and she is surely going to light up (Sim) New York Harbor

One minor texture suggestion though, I'd add a bit of weathering the top of her head/ hair. Even though they cleaned her in 1976 30 years or so of grime, pollution and weather have shown some wear on her hair.

Argh Darn! Poop heck darn!!! I can`t believe i am really that stupid. The hints were so eff...ing obvious...all Facepalm Memes wouldn`t be enough to describe how i felt after finding the Grand Dame.

I have to admit that i really searched high and low through the whole simtropolis site until it hit me like a baseball bat...

Good show,a jolly good show :D

I can't believe it took me this long to find it, seems obvious now. Your hint helped me out.

Also excellent work Reddon.

Can someone PM me the link? I just cannot find it...

It's over at the SC4D LEX. You need a login.

Thank you! That was painfully obvious...
