So this is me just playing around with the colors:

    cJBLkZp.jpg

You could call it a tribute to Art128. The green color is taken from one of JR East 719 i did in Volume 05

    Thank you.

Been working on a few more models. Here is the E5:

    E6GmMqIl.jpg

The white is the first highpoly model. The green is a low poly model based on the white one.

Its a hard train to models, as there is a lot of double curved surfaces on it.

Can see that I am not the only one getting it 100 % right.

I must confess that the train (the RL one!) looks rather ugly when viewed from any other perspective than from the side. Like a duck's beak strapped to the tip of a train. Platypus train? However, it IS an iconic train, and although I'm no expert, your model is immediately recognisable as what it's supposed to represent, and one would have to be a fool to doubt your texturing skills after looking at only one of your uploads, so I guess another great new addition is on its way! :)

The nose of the trains is made that way, to minimize the problems with airs getting compressed in front of the trains when going through tunnels at high speed.

    xe9H2aO.jpg

Finally got it working. Had to shorten it even 2 pro cent compared to the image to get it working proper.

This will look especially great in combination with the wide-radius curves provided by the NAM! :golly:

The last car with the pantograph is a bit jumpy. It still need to get shorten.

Thank you Niels. Glad you like them.

An overview of the almost finished mods:

Will be uploading them soon, adding new trains to the file, as they get finished.

Just amazing work! Thank you so much for all of your automata, they really make my sim railroading awesome. The speed of your creations is incredible, you've really mastered this. Thanks again, hope you keep it up

Wow, this is almost too much choice for me. :boggle: Rail nuts will love you for all the incredible attention to detail and for bringing all the liveries to life in SimCity while simple folk like me, who could have been pleased with a handful of generic colour schemes, can spend hours marveling at these little wonders, unable to make up their minds. Looks like LEGO is not the only high-quality modular system from Denmark, eh?

Oh, and that example pic - RRW, some ploppable animals and timber, girafe's wonderful trees, a terrain/rock mod and a water mod plus your beautiful little train really blow vanilla SC4 out of the water. I love it!

Vester, those Automata Trains are perfect.I also can spend some good Time just looking at those sweet Details.

I think I need to install your Trains again.Currently I only have the AmTrak Passenger Trains and some Freight Trains installed because the Set from a  Year or so ago seemed to me a bit complicated to install. At least I always messed it up and the Game chrashed.

Are your newest Uploads just visual Updates for an older Release or are those never seen Liveries?

    Thanks T-Wreck.

My working files in PS, is build up of all the details at the top. Under all that goes some layers with the colors.

Here is one of the textures on the model, up close:

    qft1h2r.jpg

You can see some of the other models that goes into the next package here.

    Hotwheeler:

The new uploads (volume 16 A-D) are different models. If you look at the pictures you will see a lot of liveries that I didn't do before on the EMD F-units.

As written, in the readme, just install a few different additionals mods.

You should have only have one of each of the Fe Rep and Se Rep in your plug-in folder ( PRE Rep the same)

    Remember this:

    Fe: Freight Engine

    Se: Steam Engine

    PRE: Passenger Rail Engine.

    Rep Replacement

    Add: Additional:

Of the Additional mods you can none, one or more, installed.

If you have many automata mods installed, you will see what I would call ghost trains. This specially when you just have open a city.

I didn't realize you had a thread here till today, all your work is Brilliant, Thank You for your input into the game.

I thought about this, and am still thinking about it because though I've thought about this, I still have more thinking to do as to stop thinking about it would mean not to think.

They are great.BTW tried again installing your Passenger Trains and it works like a Charm.Used two compatible ones,Vol 11 and 10 (passenger engines and matching Cars)

Only Problem:A Passenger Engine has different Cars from all chosen Rail Companies.

For Example, an AmTrak Engine doesn't pull only AmTrak Cars.It pulls various Cars which makes the Train look really weird.

    What did I wrong?

If you don't want mixed up trains, with cars from different companies, you can only have cars from one company.

There is no way of controlling the mix of cars in a train. Sorry. Blame Maxis.

Ah,I see.Man,this sad to choo-choo-choose only one Passenger Car.Maybe it's for the best, less cluttered Rails and also I don't even have a larger Railway Station in my Region I'm playing.

Btw,I'm wondering if you have made some good looking Freight Cars for your Engines or maybe know if there are any that meet the high visual standard your amazing Freight Engines have. Those Maxis Freight Cars just look plain ugly next to the Engines.
