Amazing work on these passenger cars. Do you work in CAD professionally? I often wonder how many players actually do.

These coaches look fantastic! May I suggest a dependency or two to compliment them? I found some high quality engines over at SimCity.cn that I downloaded. Such as this Class P8 and this DSP&P 2-8-0 engine.

Well they can''t be dependency, as this mods are going to work with or without the engines.

Super texturing!  I love them all (and now I want to play monopoly for some strange reason  :D  )

I may have asked you before, but I don't remember seeing an answer.  Would it be possible to render these as props?  I don't even know if automata models would translate well, but it seems like they would look great on some rail siding lots (I believe some new lotting overlay and base textures for the RRW will be available in the near future).

    Thank you SimCoug.

About the rendering, have a look at my post from today on sc4d.

I can`t handle that much awesomeness shortly after coming home from work.:wub:

No seriously, you`re doing an awesome job and i really love all the variations.I couldn`t even pick a favorite.mostly because they all look great (i might cheat with the fact that maybe i would take the Pacific Daylight Caboose but mostly because orange is one of my favorite colors....)

I wonder if trains from all those areas would meet in real life....

    Thank you Hotwheeler.

I wonder if trains from all those areas would meet in real life....

I would say no, maybe on a museum today.

Well even today there is a separation line in the US, a line going from Chicago to New Orleans.

There are some lines crossing the lines for the 1st class railroads.

Norfolk Southern and CSX to the east and Union Pacific and BNSF to the west.

Then you have Kansas City Southern and Canadian National going more or less north-south along that line.

Canadian Pacific has most of there lines in Canada.

NS, CSX, UP, BNSF, CN and CP has all lines going to Chicago.

Sometimes you can see trains with motor power from more than one RR:

Here is one from a depot in Denver.

    6098.1421474960.jpg

BNSF, CP, CN and NS (and some of there predecessors)

Here is two new color schemes:

    nTuhhGP.jpg

    R5rA2Wp.jpg

Sort had something like that in mind, a color scheme that I have seen in a add for a model train, but then I stumble over this pictures:

    Pere_Marquette_Railway_streamliner.JPG

Not quite like it but... still looks good.

I might just have to do a few EMD F-units to complement these passenger cars.

The 2nd picture sums up the Roseville Junction perfectly. It's mostly Union Pacific with the big flag but there is also Southern Pacific and BNSF engines parked there as well.

YES!!! AMAZING! Mod of the year!

That specific train ran from Detroit to Grand Rapids. That photo is a particular favorite of mine.

Most excellent work. The passenger cars looked terrific to start with, but adding that Michigan flair, wow, that was just plain unexpected and fantastic. Whoa. Whoa. Whoa! F-units too? F-units would be spectacular!

Thanks for the little info about how the railroad companies work up there in the US and Canada. In the first pic,the engine in the middle (orange BNSF without boxy protrutions on the roof) looks almost like the one used in the vanilla SC 4 Game.

F-Units would sound like a great idea...but i guess it would be an awful lot of work.

Hotwheeler: Yes I does look a lot like it.

slickbg56: The picutre was the closes to a color photo I have found.

This is one, where you either like it or you hate it.

Only seen pictures of one other train from North American with purple in it.

    That will be MBTA

Very nice texturing and modeling. These could seriously be used for a railroad sim.

Good point, and I totally agree with that. I may have said that in this thread before, but it bears repeating: If we had such graphics in OpenTTD, that would be totally awesome.
