Plus some documentation as to what exactly they are. :-)
Alternatively this could go in DatGen or some other program.

Upgradeable Capacity of Mass Transit Stations/Stops/Terminals??

Would it be possible? Let me elaborate a bit more on this. I'll start with an example: The Short Landing Strip (smallest airport).

When it is placed, it has a capacity of 10K passengers, and shows only one Hangar as a visual indicator to this capacity. As demand increases, you will be prompted by a message to upgrade the Strip (Yes/No). Selecting Yes will cause the Strip to be re-constructed, and after a short period, the Strip appears with a second hangar indicating it has been upgraded to 20K passengers. Again, as demand grows, another stage of upgrade will be prompted, which will go through same re-construction sequence when approved, revealing a 3rd hangar to visually indicate that the Strip has been upgraded to 30K passengers. No further upgrades are possible beyond this max capacity.

Now, can't we apply similar concept to transportation stations/stops/terminals? A bus station for example can start with a capacity of say 1000 (as is by default). Current 1x1 bus stop has its rare half almost empty aside from that fence. So, it can be altered and replaced by just a bench to visually reflect the 1000 capacity. When it reaches this limit, an upgrade prompt message appears with a hyperlink (e.g. this station needs upgrade) to take you to the stop in question. Approving the upgrade will double the capacity (2000K) and will cover the bench for example with a shelter occupying the front half of the lot (leaving the rare empty as is). When time comes, the 2nd upgrade takes place and capacity increases to 3000 or even more. To visually reflect this, a second shelter can be added to the rare half with another bench but in opposite direction (or any other design) without the need to change the 1x1 lot size.

Similar can be applied to other Mass Transit stations (Subway, Trains, ...etc). This will to a great extent relief us from destroying game-standard stations/stops when becoming overcrowded and/or replacing them with custom-created lots, and would be consistent with other transit gateways (Air and Sea Ports).

Back to the main question: could this be done? Sounds a combined Modding/BATing project. Hope it is possible; it is already there for Airports and Harbours.

The gaping hole in SC4 realism at this point (now that the NAM has filled so many others)is the inability to place road, avenue and highway and rail bridges entirely over land (no water at all under the bridge). This would allow a highway, for example, to cross above a steep sided dry valley or a mountain road or rail to cross an upland gorge.

Of course, I would want the ability to put stuff under these bridges as well (such as another road, rail line or whatnot.

Is that asking too much? I just start drooling (ruined many a keyboard that way) when I place a long bridge over a valley with a narrow river at the bottom and think about how great it would be able to line the banks with roads and rail lines passing under the bridge (residents of Ohio, Pennsylvania and West Virginia will know exactly what I'm talking about). The next step, no river at all, just seems so logical. Both, though, are currently impossible.

land bridges you CAN do.
get the rain mod
then in a valley fill it up with water
build your bridge
save then quit
load that city again and the water is gone!
you have a land bridge!
but it is possible ONLY with the rain mod
you cannot build network under the bridge nor is it possible to make a mod do so but you can always make a tunnel underneath

How about someone making some simple rail puzzle pieces. I am working on the light rail mod and for the life of me I can't seem to make a simple rail puzzle piece. A 1x1 straight piece would be a great starting point.

a region map mod would be great......ESPECIALLY if it showed subway lines! a regional zoning map would be sweet as well! if anyone can do this...that would be amazing!9.gif

I have a city of 2 million people who predominatly ride the subway. The subway tubes as well as the stations are very overcrowded. I was wondering if someone can increase the capacity of the subway tubes themselves, as well as the stations.

Would anybody know how to make a mod that would allow different types of High Line wire. The one's in the game are kind of large and it would be neat if there were some that were more like the wooden poles you see in most places.

This was one of the first modding attempts. People hated, and still do hate, those ugly red monsters. Unfortunately, many things about the power lines are exe-defined, meaning we really can't change them.

The length, height, and catenary curvature of the actual power LINES are exe-defined. We CAN replace the power-pole models with other ones of the same size. Maybe in a more modern style, or something, I dunno.

gr8 idea here!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! make a mod that makes commute times lower cuz in the middle of a large map (my fave) buildings will abandon due to commute time. i did an experiment and it is 1 minute to travel 1 uncongested tile. thats crazy!!!! i feel that that should be decreased by 10 times in the least. pleeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeez make it!

I don't know if someone of you has ever been to Italy or if you have never heard about cinque terre in Liguria. So, here, in the centuries, people have modeled hills building thousands of kilometers of small walls organizzating hills in terraces to make possible farming.

kiknos concrete diagonal wall has been released on the STEX by jeronij It may not be exzackly what you want but check it out. You may be able to PM jeronij to change the texture to fit what your asking for. Its on the 2nd page half way down at the STEX. Hope this will help!

Here's one: Why not a noise pollution reduction mod. I think Sc4 buildings are a little to affected by noise pollution than in real life cities.

that would be amazing if ardecila could make that kind of mod! the palm trees are annoying me too, especially since i'm starting a new Portland CJ. and i don't think there are any palm trees in portland 18.gif

that would be great if they can be replaced by random ingame trees, or pegs seasonal trees. i wouldn

Hello, Ive been talking to Pegasus for a little while, and he advised me to come here about a request. Someone in BSC has modded a south african flag, to work in game, my request is that, could that person, please,please make me a Welsh flag? I realise that you may have lots of other requests whoever you are, but i would be so thankful for it,and the time you dedicated to it. At the moment i'm stuck with the union jack, which is all well and good and all, but i wan't something closer to home, if you know what i mean?

I have no idea who made the South African flag, all i do know, is that there is a connection between the flag-maker and BSC, If i knew the person, i would have pm'd them, directly. I just hope someone comes across this soon, and know who i am talking about.

can somebody make a Reconconile mod so that when you reconconile the edges of your cities it doesn't destroy neighbor connection or buildings in the way (unless an above ground neighbor connection comes through) and it would just make the land match the neighbor city.
