I do like your website, it gives a nice touch to your CJ and city as a whole! :>

Anyhow, here's my Imperial City subway map. It's big, so I made a PDF for those who want to download it. Elsehow, here's a preview :

Stupid question, does anyone remember asking me for a Vancouver file? I had a sudden realisation moment and I lost emails.

That was me. I have been taking a hiatus from Sim City 4 as I've been traveling quite a bit lately. When I get back home next week I plan on jumping in again. I am still interested in working together if you are. My email is jhoff1257@gmail.com.

Great map Linoa! I don't get how you do them so fast

Heres one I recently made

This map is inspired by alittle bit of the PATCO and the PATH. This system overlaps with the ATTA subway in my previous

Slightly surprised I haven't shown it here, but only slightly

http://www.majhost.com/gallery/kj3400/Paradise/maps/i-1_strip_map.png

As it's 20,000 pixels tall, I couldn't very well show it here. I also advise caution in clicking the link because of its size.

I can't be the only one who saves the sc4 image file in Sc4mapper, draws over it in paint and then does a proper map from this sketch, right?

Basically the lime lines are radial, surface level commuter lines whilst the blue are underground lines concentrated in the city.

Typically a German city would have these green lines be a local service while heavier regional routes carry on past the green lines, but nice work.

I don't know how I do them so fast either, I just draw for hours on. :| The Imperial City was purely fictional so it was easier. When the maps are meant to actually represent something (Leyawiin, Sedona, etc) I have a good old pen and paper marking every single track design (it's easy in Cities in Motion - less so in Simcity 4) and from then I tinker with services, before using Paint.exe (yes..) or Inkscape (or both, generally) to put the map in actual shape!

Yeah, that's what I'm planning. Ideally these would just be the S/U-Bahn services, and my Regio would continue along. Plus the city itself is still being built, so I may add more lines.

Hey thats sort of the same process for me. I have alot of physical paper maps I've drawn through the years. I use Word and Paint (I love Paint because I use it fir everything ever) but I don't know how to use inkscape even though I have it. I don't know if I'll ever get to use it fully or attempt to because I'm in college now and I don't have much time. My maps just take me so much longer than yours. Its the naming of the stations that take forever.

Great job again Linoa

Well, that Deling map is honestly the first Inkscape-only map I've done, like full Inkscape. All I did, before, was simply to make PDFs and copy/paste logos (sort of how you copy text from internet to the notepad).

Inkscape really isn't a hard program to use. ^^

But ty ^^

I was playing OTTD (Open Transport Tycoon Deluxe) this week and in 49 game years I had this....

This is a map of a very small sector of the Great Deanham Rapid Transit Coordination throughout three districts.

The Old Town has the least influence, with only one stop inside it's district area before it dropping into subway just off the top left of the map. Haymarket runs 3 stops, and the rest East Halok takes. In this particular section, as most of the transit is subway, there are only four lines.

This is the city central tram network. The city centre is divided by the districts, and so is not as highrise as the places well inside districts, and handles mostly posh hotels, $$ apartment blocks, a few posh offices, and mostly I-HT industry. It was lacking a subway, and this is why the tram was built in this area. Desirability shot up.post-508212-0-97049100-1347696064_thumb.

Black circles mean subway transitions, coloured ones are stops.

A street map of what is built so far in Galesfeburg. Labels are in Myonian, which in abbreviations are basically the same as English. The actual names are a bit different, though. "Weþureeg" means roughly "waterfront," and shied is "head," or in this case, "main."

I'm starting out from a simple village, which should be much easier on me for both building a city and a map of said city. Should end up looking more realistic, too.

That's supreme way, you just add streets as they appear so your work is spreaded out to lot of time. I was doing map like this about year ago but unfortunately lost it.

Here's a line map of the system I built for the New York map in the Cities in Motion: American Cities pack. The game map had some problems like inaccuracies (No WTC buildings any year, Brooklyn Bridge is a generic bridge, etc) and it could have been bigger, but I still thoroughly enjoyed building a smaller scale version of the NYC system.

I made this poster using MS paint to modify the subway map here, then used MS Visio to put the lines, stops and text in. The stop names are rough approximations of local landmark locations or neighborhoods, but in Brooklyn/Queens I took some extra creative liberty since most of those boroughs are missing. I omitted Roosevelt Island since I didn't build any major stops there in game, as well as some minor monorails to keep the map simple.

This is the famous 24 line (the Fore and City) in Great Deanham, which had a train (along with the 12) a large crash. The re-enforced trains survived, and only three major injuries were sustained. There were no fatalities.
