Just wanted to see peoples screenshots of Sim City being a little bit thick!

Well here's one to start us off.  tried to build my own bridge approaches and bridge so I didn't get the ridiculously steep ramp and instead this is what it came up with!



The bridge and road are still connected, and whats more the approach on the other bank worked perfectly!

Hmmmm, I think the highway planners must have miscalculated the bridge planing. I think they ment to build it build it much lower.

I think as Mayor I need to sack my highway planners, engineers and architects and find some new ones!  
I tried a UDI and as you enter the tunnel it dips sharply downwards and you suddenly on top of the slope! its an inter-dimensional / teleportinng tunnel!

And the bridge was meant to be that high so ships can get under it! lol

the most stupid glitch that occured to me was when in the midle of saving the game it crashed and when i got again in to the region the city that i saved disapered.

i couldn't click on it, but the city was giving the population to the region and was still connectet to the other cities

lol Boycey08. I had that same exact glitch the other day for the first time. I tabbed out of the game while it was in region view. I came back, and it had that HUGE moving cloud. thought all my cities were on fire at first! lol

mk2328: That is really strange. Although, if it crashed in the middle of a save, I'm not too surprised that's what happened. I think you may be screwed.

A thing to keep in mind from that ever happening again: Back up all your saved city files in a completely seperat folder. Preferably a thrid file on an external device, such as CD, or Flash Drive.

This is a very old screenshot from one of my early SC4 days. I called it 'The Rocket Building'. Quite a special landmark for a city .

Lol, I've had the cloud thing before too, except it turned everything a pale green too. Really weird...I only went to eat lunch and bam, a storm cloud! No picture, was about 3 years ago.

I once made a region (my biggest ever) but messed up the config so it kind of made that disappearing tile thing. One city was half-covered by a large tile and was on top of 3/4 of a small tile...all cities worked though, just weird how the buildings went through the ground of the city on top of it...that wasn't much of the region though, and it's about half full now at 26 million. Haven't worked on it for about 2 1/2 years...no reason to, it was about 1/2 gig in size alone...lol.

Oh and thatt rocket building is awesome!!! Lol, hilarious!

I don't have any captures of it, but I often get a graphics bug when I try to put toll booths on elevated highways that results in the tollbooth being suspended in midair above the highway (like it thought the level of the highway was the ground level).

That's your fire plane. Those things are ALWAYS crashing for me. Once got stuck in another airport, and once it got stuck in an apartment building. How it crashed like that, I could not guess. I'll try to make one of mine fail and take a picture.

A tree inside the bridge (SC4 doesn't mind zoning trees on top of elevated NAM networks, it's a bug but not sure if it's fixable by the NAM team since it's likely coded in to the EXE):

I've pretty much given up on the fire planes as if you dispatch one it'll NEVER land again. It just circles your city for the rest of the game.

To fix that problem, DO NOT QUERY THE IMMORTAL BULIDING, it will crash your game. Zone its original zone - that would be medium-density C for that one - and bulldoze it, then remove zoning as needed.

One really fun one I had but didn't screenshot was 1218 workers at a gas station. Yes, they all worked at the gas station. No other buildings in sight. Never had the problem again so far.

GLR crossings with railways have always been weird when a train crosses it.

Yes, that tram is supposed to be on the GLR. I've had passenger trains and the green things running on the GLR as well.
