Could someone, anyone with the Free Roam Camera Mod please upload it or something. I know it's been removed but I would like to try it out in the new offline feature.

@ProcsKalone could you maybe post an update for update 10.  Currently when you plot stuff, a single item will take 2 of 4 instead of 1 of 4.  Seems to affect every plopable addon for casions, trading, etc.

Considering this mod came out almost a year ago.... Wondering if someone can post a fully updated checklist on how to install it, and all applicable mods associated with it... Would be, by far, the most complex mod I've enabled, and I'm dumb.

Any help?

You can either run "Setup.bat" and follow the prompts or copy the SimCityData and SimCityUserData folders into your SimCity folder.

I should mention there are some surprise package files in SimCityData that change other things like:

- GermanTrain

- PloppableTree

- TrafficLightsBGone

- JetPlanes

- RotatedTrain

You can delete these after installation if you don't want them. There are other package files included like "Breakable Tents" that I have no idea about so I just leave them in.

If Procs or someone else updates the mod in future maybe they can explain what all these do, personally I'd remove the ones which BOC doesn't depend on and upload them as separate mods on STEX.

Since Update 9 there's an issue with building modules where they're counted twice, you can get around this by placing all the modules right after each other - continuing after it says you've reached the limit. If you placed half of the modules previously you have to delete one before you can plop them again (if that makes any sense).

The other issue is you can no longer bulldoze regional highway (including the connection stub), rail or the service roads that places like the Wind Farm leave behind after their main building is gone.

However there is a bandaid solution to the bulldoze issue with Update 10 which involves placing this file (https://www.dropbox.com/s/8laj877zf61n1js/z_SimCity-Scripts_278778480.package) under SimCityUserData\Packages.

That is the script file included in 0.98n simply renamed so it overrides the Update 10 one. It causes an immediate rollback if you try to play online - but not if you play offline mode.

That said, be careful and make sure you 'Save As' before using it because I still managed to crash SimCity when I deleted some regional railway. The safest way to use it is to enable it only when you need it, simply by moving the script file in or out of the Packages folder and reloading the game.

If Procs or someone familiar with the mod's workings updates BOC they'll be able to solve the module count & bulldozing issues properly.

Found another issue with 0.98N and Update 10:  Passenger Rail tries to clip with the road instead of the track.  Removing this mod fixes issue, double verified.

 

Nevermind, this intended apparently.

Please give us a new version compatible with patch 10 please please please , is it even getting worked on.

 

I read somewhere that it was at one point possible to zone outside the box I know if did not work well but i would love to get my hands on it to try it out for a bit

great update, but took me some time to get used to it. But i now cant enable cheats, like the one for cash increase (alt+w) so if this can be fixed cool if not ill get rid of the files and wait.

It would be great.

 

EDIT: Could you also update the camera mod if possible?

You can use the O.98N. It works perfectly well with zoning outside the city with update 10. The only issue I have with it is the extra units count as 2 when you plop 1. So you can play it, but putting industries and all becomes difficult

Yeah he probably is.

My bad. I think my brain "zoned" out then. I meant plopping. I would probably be a superstar if I could start zoning outside.

Is plopping the elegant casino modules broken? I've been plopping roulette houses and it does not add to the maximum amount of gamblers. The same goes with the rooms. The only way it does add is if I plop it inside my city and onto a snap point. But if its not plopped onto a snap point it does not work.

It's been a while that I downloaded this wonderful mod. Can anyone tell me if with the latest version all the items of Cities of Tomorrow can be plopped outside the box too? Thank you.
