Good work with the roof and the whole BAT in general! Although there was one thing I noticed. The roof texture just so happens to have these two circular imperfections

Wow, you have amazing eagles eyes Mr BP. I didn't notice it, now I can't not see it! I tried your suggestion but it seems like I had found the only magical position where the texture doesn't tile noticably. Instead, I've removed one of the rivets from the original base texture and that seems to have solved it. Thanks for pointing it out :)

Republic Master, no that wasn't really directed at you, not anyone in particular, just mentioning that if its a shiny material not sure why people were suggesting to make it not-shiny. I am going to place an invisible curtain around the base so the lights don't bling out on the base, but the material itself I'm going to leave as it is :)

I need to do a fair bit of exporting now but time spent exporting is time spent not BATing :(

Ooh... while this is machine is exporting I might start something new on my new Macbook pro with 3DS Max 2012 installed. Very excited

I will comment here, because three BAT's in one night, well its easier to comment here!!! Hahaha

Great work on all three, and to get them out before the end of the month is just spectacular!!! And of course you release them just after I have done an update on my cj :P

But thank you so much for all the effort and hard work you have put into your BAT's and also into Simtropolis :D

Un.  Be.  Lievable.  Might as well rename November Melbourne Art Deco Month!  What an insane surprise to wake up to, and even better that they are C$$...currently facing a real shortage of high-level C$$ buildings in the game, and these three are gorgeous.  The transformation of my city into Melbourne continues...

Just out of curiosity, is Federation Square still moving (slowly) through the channels, or is it simply too big of a project for right now?  Since LA Live, Times Square, type city centers are sorely underrepresented, I think this fits a need.  But then I'm also excited for Freshwater...Sofitel...all the treasury/parliament type structures...heck...EVERYTHING!!

This is great, I have been downloading your Melbourne files for quite some time! The only thing I suggest is to make a second version of each of the buildings you make that are just landmark's and offer no jobs! I try to build cities where the default skyscrapers grow but they simply can't because the functional landmarks take all the commercial demand! Other than that, can't wait for more!!

You know I hate to say this, Reddon. But It seems like the Arts Certre Spire has some problem to be solved.

I found the BAT's nightlight didn't show up when placed in two directions. However, in the other two directions, it looks right,

I'm sure I've set the lot as you said in the Readme file and don't know how this happens. Can you check this up for us?

btw, I've tested the purple one and the red one, not sure if the other two color BATs report the same problem.

The lobby windows seem a little bit distracting with all that reflection of light going on. Toning it down would be preferable ;) But other than that, get it to the STEX ASAP :D

The nightlighting looks fantastic.  I like the lights along the terrace area.  Would it be possible to light up the terrace landscaping a bit more or would that not be beneficial?  Great work  :)

Weixc - let me know how you go. As far as I'm aware the solution Yukky suggested should work.

Well, I did place the power generator, but it didn't work.

In the picture, I place several generators all around the lot and the nightlight doesn't appear (in all 4 view angles). While in the other two placed directions(not view angle), we don't need the generator at all to make it lightened(all kinds of power plants can make it).

Thanks for the feedback, I agree, lights on FWP are too bright atm. I'll tone them down.

Evanalmighty, not sure, I'll reassess it once the other lights have been toned down, they might look too dim because the other lights are so bright.

Weixc, no idea sorry. I just tested the purple one out and it works fine for me on all viewing angles. I only have one generator underneath it as well - right up close to the spire as it can go. They haven't abandoned have they? I don't think they light up if they are abandoned. Otherwise, really no idea :(

Hi. Thanks everyone for kind comments, on here and on the STEX.

Now back to Freshwater Place :)

Twrecks - yeah, the podium is hideous out of context. I think that's one of the reasons why it's taken me so long to finish it, I couldn't bring myself to make it lol - but on the other hand, in the context of the setting, all the buildings along the Southbank river front strip are the same. Its basically a row of low-rise podiums that have towers on top, and they do join together quite nicely. Just if you take one section out on its own, it looks stupid.

Xander - From what I remember about Eureka, ploppable residentials don't work. So I think it at least needs to be growable, and a Landmark for the ploppable version. I'm going to face the same issue with Q1 :( This is only the second residential I've done, or third if you include Q1 - how are these usually Modded?

JWS - Yeah, Fed Square is still waiting for me to go back to it. I kind of need to space the 'epic' BATs apart, they can be quite taxing. Probably complete a couple of easier BATs in the meantime :)

Weixc - let me know how you go. As far as I'm aware the solution Yukky suggested should work.

Here's the nightlighting on FWP. Let me know what you think. It's taking a bit of time to render so testing is slow going, hence I didn't get it finished in November, but probably can be released some time this week depending on your comments.

    Freshwater Place is gorgeous...

I'm still in love with the Spire...wow!

Do whatever you think is best!  :)

Also in response to Weixc's post... I've had the same issue with the blue spire.  It lights up plopped in all but two directions.  I even tried placing the spire away from the city (thinking the city was eating up all the power) and plopping more generators underneath but all to no avail.  I ended up placing the spire the other direction than I had intended to... oh well

Sorry, I misunderstood the problem. Its not that the lights don't show when the view is rotated, but is dependent on which way you plop it.

I just tested it, the same thing happened to me, but I eventualy got all four to light up at once. Just two of them took longer to run on daylight before they would light up. i.e. the first two lit up after a few seconds on full speed, the third one lit up after about 15 seconds, and the last one lit up after about a minute at full speed. Just need to be patient with it :)

Comparing the two images, toning down the lobby lighting did in fact make a considerable improvement.  I still think that the terrace landscaping could be ever so slightly brighter where the trees/planters are (not the lights lining the walkway) but that's just my opinion (maybe it really is that dark in real life... I just know the building I lived in the terrace was a bit more lit  :P ).  Nevertheless, the building as is feels complete now  :D

OMG!!! Yes, that is exactly what I was thinking!!! toned down the parts that needed to be and left the rest perfectly :D :D :D

This is up to you, but I would disagree with Evan (no offence), just my point of view that I would leave it as is.......
