    Mt. Berikar

Due to a bunch of stuff going on, and due to the downtime in Simtropolis, the next update has been slightly delayed, so here's a view from the summit of Mt. Berikar instead.

    GB-13-7.jpg

Be careful to avoid causing a rockslide... and it's a long way down, the summit is at 2300.5m... and close to half of that altitude range is visible in this image, as the treeline is around 1500m...

Mt. Berikar is located to the north of Nyuumau, across the river and past the lake that starting location #4 bordered.

    Poll

Leech2.pngLyhoko: As this is not a true update, this is still the same poll as last time.

Leech2.pngLyhoko: What should be added to town next?

Leech2.pngLyhoko: Remember to look closely at which option is which number when voting. Don't say something like "3 - a port." 3 is expansion, the port is 2.

    Leech2.pngLyhoko: Voting is now closed!

    1: 3 votes

An additional nearby village, to create a fuller region

    2: 2 votes

A port for the new industrial area

    3: 4 votes

    Expand Galesfeburg

Leech2.pngLyhoko: Please choose one option at a time... but you may vote more than once, as long as you do not double post. Let other people have a chance to vote!

    March, 52EL: Stretching

Leech2.pngLyhoko: The results of the poll are as follows: 3 votes for an additional village, 2 vote for a port, and 4 votes for expansion.

    GB-14-1.jpg

Just to the west of the BFA outpost is a new area of waterfront housing. The whole west side of town has added an additional city block out from the original development, as well.

    GB-14-2.jpg

A bit farther south, near the park, it seems the commercial areas are starting to build bigger buildings. Maybe this region will become downtown in the future?

    GB-14-3.jpg

There's been some additions around the mayor's house as well, and also several new farms.

    GB-14-4.jpg

Make that quite a lot of new farms. Looks like they're making their own rail station here...

    GB-14-5.jpg

Even the area around the powerplant is starting to get developed.

    GB-14-6.jpg

Odd, a separate housing development has popped up... Does this even count as a village? Or is it part of Galesfeburg?

    GB-14-7.jpg

Seems that the rail connection has induce quite a bit of growth in the farms of the region. Quite a wide variety, too.

    GB-14-8.png

    And, of course, the map.

Leech2.pngLyhoko: "Shi" is "hay"... or "he" or "she"... "Furoo" is "pig," and "Striend" is "beach." The beach is on the other side of the peninsula, so why is that street named that?

    Poll

Leech2.pngLyhoko: What should be added to town next?

Leech2.pngLyhoko: Remember to look closely at which option is which number when voting. Don't say something like "3 - a port." 3 is expansion, the port is 2.

    December, 52EL: Port

Leech2.pngLyhoko: The results of the poll are as follows: 2 votes for an additional village, 3 votes for a port, and 1 votes for expansion.

    GB-15-1.jpg

The initial temporary beach from the beginning of the city has finally been replaced...

    GB-15-2.jpg

A seawall projection thing has been added to separate the new port region from the rest of the waterfront area, as a precaution.

    GB-15-3.jpg

The street network in the port area is a bit complex... And that's an odd name for a shipping company.

    GB-15-4.jpg

And more of the port area, with an area where trains can pick up or drop off supplies to be sent overseas, saving quite a bit of time from shipping them from Yintar and Yanar, which are well inland on the river. Though there won't be much sent from here for a little while, as this is still a small port.

    GB-15-5.jpg

And the connection region between the port and the original industrial district.

    GB-15-6.png

... Why is there a picture of a CS-1 in here? Anyway, the CS-1 is, as of now, Myon's only major warship, with 15 double barreled energy cannons on each side, and various railgun turrets scattered over the hull. Length is roughly 1280m, width is roughly 402m, and height is roughly 140m. The object in the background is Myon's moon, Pyan. If you look in the lower right part of Pyan, you can see one of it's lava oceans.

Leech2.pngLyhoko: There's plans to add a new weapon to the CS-1 as well...

    GB-15-7.png

    And, of course, the map.

Leech2.pngLyhoko: "Ki" is "seawall". Road to nowhere! Well, there's a minimalist lighthouse there...

    Poll

Leech2.pngLyhoko: What should be added to town next?

Leech2.pngLyhoko: Remember to look closely at which option is which number when voting. Don't say something like "3 - expand to south." 3 is expand on the peninsula, expanding south is 2.

    Leech2.pngLyhoko: Voting is now closed!

    1: 1 vote

An additional nearby village, to create a fuller region

    2: 1 vote

Expand Galesfeburg to the south, past the industrial area

    3: 2 votes

    Expand Galesfeburg along the peninsula

    4: 2 votes

    Expand Nyuumau region

I don't think I would want to visit the lava ocean.

Well, I would, actually. Bit I won't swim in it.

I say lets expand on the peninsula

Fed Up ? That name is really nice for a shipping company ! XD

But, I hope the company's service doesn't fit very well with the name.

I think the peninsula is a nice location for the city expansion. So, I vote 3 !

    August, 53EL: Warning

    Leech2.pngLyhoko: Happy Thanksgiving!

Leech2.pngLyhoko: The results of the poll are as follows: 1 vote for an additional village, 1 vote for southward expansion, 2 votes for expanding onto the peninsula, and 2 votes for expanding Nyuumau.

    Leech2.pngLyhoko: Another tie...

The region's been relatively calm since Galesfeburg was founded, however that can't last forever... It seems that a hurricane is approaching...

    GB-16-1.jpg

Back behind us is Galesfeburg, while up ahead is a really long trip to the rest of the country. Meanwhile off to the left is the siding for Nyuumau.

    GB-16-2.jpg

A barn on a platform? There's some new farms in the area, but for now we'll continue forward.

    GB-16-3.jpg

In the lower right is the original development of Nyuumau, but a thin line of houses has popped up leading to the train station.

    GB-16-4.jpg

Gack, rain. This isn't the hurricane, just a small storm, though. Nyuumau has now split into two towns? Maybe? This part of town seems better than the old part, though.

    GB-16-5.jpg

The new development is similar in size to the old part of town and is just as surrounded by farms.

    GB-16-6.png

    And, of course, the map.

Leech2.pngLyhoko: "Too" is Myonian for "train".

Leech2.pngLyhoko: Next up, Galesfeburg! And a pesky hurricane. Hopefully there isn't too much of a mess...

    Poll

Leech2.pngLyhoko: What should be added to town next?

Leech2.pngLyhoko: In this case, votes will only be added up after all parts have been shown, so remember to keep voting!

Leech2.pngLyhoko: Remember to look closely at which option is which number when voting. Don't say something like "3 - expand to south." 3 is expand on the peninsula, expanding south is 2.

    Leech2.pngLyhoko: Voting is now closed!

    1: 4 votes

An additional nearby village, to create a fuller region

    2: 0 votes

Expand Galesfeburg to the south, past the industrial area

    3: 10 votes

    Expand Galesfeburg along the peninsula

Leech2.pngLyhoko: Please choose one option at a time... but you may vote more than once, as long as you do not double post. Let other people have a chance to vote!

    August, 53EL, Part 2: Hurricane

Leech2.pngLyhoko: And here's part two... the messy part.

    GB-17-1.jpg

Not many cars out here in the new part of the town, though everything seems to be holding up...

    GB-17-2.jpg

The town appears to be well above the storm surge height, though the waves are high enough to splash over the top of the seawall at times.

    GB-17-3.jpg

Ack, looks like the dock isn't so lucky. The waves are just crashing right over it, though at least the waves here aren't as tall due to the area being mostly enclosed.

    GB-17-4.jpg

And now the farms are flooding.

    GB-17-5.jpg

What happened to the beach? The beachhouse is now its own island...

    GB-17-6.png

And, of course, the map. Hopefully it doesn't blow away.

Leech2.pngLyhoko: Maiyan and Teera are the next planets in the system after Caara.

    Poll

Leech2.pngLyhoko: What should be added to town next? ...After they fix the damage from the hurricane, at least.

    September, 53EL: After

Leech2.pngLyhoko: And here's part three of a two part update... somehow

    GB-18-1.jpg

Back in Nyuumau... I'm pretty sure that one field didn't have anything growing in it earlier...

    GB-18-2.jpg

Following the road out of Nyuumau to the north, one eventually reaches some more farms.

    GB-18-3.jpg

As well as a small clump of development. Not a town, it's too small for that... for now, at least. Just a bit farther past the fields is the Yanar River... and a mess of dead crops where they got flooded from the hurricane. Also, they could use some fences there, unless they want to have cows in their swimming pool... But from looking at the bottom most cow, a fence might not help. Turn left at the road here to eventually get back to Galesfeburg.

    GB-18-4.jpg

Ick, more dead crops. Somehow the grass survived, though.

    GB-18-5.jpg

And now, back to the new development that was shown last time... this time without all the rain and waves and stuff. Looks like here at least did well enough.

    GB-18-6.jpg

And the more central development. There's more of the bigger buildings... The port region probably needs a bit more time to recover, however.

    GB-17-6.png

And here's the same map as before. No map for the random development, but a T intersection isn't interesting enough on its own to get a map.

    Poll

Leech2.pngLyhoko: What should be added to town next?

Leech2.pngLyhoko: Remember to look closely at which option is which number when voting. Don't say something like "3 - expand to south." 3 is expand on the peninsula, expanding south is 2.
