Chicago BAT Project

Ok guys, I've always loved the chicago skyline, so I've decided to make it my project to make BATs of chicago buildings. If anyone wants to help me, they are free to.
I will be going into Chicago every so often to take some pictures of the buildings I plan on BATing along with pictures of some of the group members buildings they plan on BATing.

I'm so glad someone is starting a Chicago project! I've had to suffice with my cheap home made SketchUp models of 311 Wacker and so on! I'm looking forward to your progress and great work so far on one of the most beautiful buildings in the city!

The problem is that we think that 2 users aren't ebough to found a BAT team. However, if there will be more requests I'm sure that we need more volunteers. But for now, you guys should try to help this thread gorw and you also should try to keep this project alive. We will do our best to fulfill what you are asking for but we are only able to do this if you guys give constructive comments and/ or show us your personal opinion. And I really hope that this project won't be forgotten so fast.

If there are further requests feel free to let us know. And if someone is interested in joining our team, write a comment or pm one of us.

I would like to see the CNA plaza I realize it has already been made but it wasn't a very good bat no growable either so if you would ad that to your list well appreciated thanks PS this is a great idea Chicago is my favorite city by far unfortunately i cant bat very well so i wont join but i will follow this team all the way thank you

also the trump tower that has been done was done 7-8 years ago and it had no textures at all just like the aon center so you look into revamping them also the tribune tower looks amazing so far god job

Your render of the Tribune Tower is looking very nice. In fact, I remember you showing it in chat but didn't quite catch what it was. I'm really happy to see somebody doing more Chicago BATs...there simply aren't enough!

The Trump Tower in Chicago is being worked on by Kellydale, and he will probably release it eventually, but we don't quite know when that'll be. Perhaps he'd like to release it under your banner, but who knows.

I'm not really pro efficient enough in the BAT just yet to take on such big buildings, but I wouldn't mind helping with modding and lotting.

Jazz: Cool. I'd love help with modding and lotting, two things that I hate lol. I can also teach you some of the things I learned about modeling if you want to learn them.

T Wrecks: you're right I'm glad you remember how badly a two person team failed completely to model anything half decent I don't think he meant we need help, just we're open to people if they want to.

What!!!! A Chicago Team, I really want the Wrigley Building, Tribune Tower, and Chicago Mather Tower finished, forget about the modern building for now, I do want to join the Chicago Team, because I'm a New York City fan, but one thing i am a busy guy!!!!

Don't really have a preference, I have visited Chicago when i lived in NW Indiana, and it is a very beautiful city. Not sure if it has been done elsewhere on the STEX, but what about the Navy Pier?

My top 10 favorite buildings in Chicago are the Sears Tower,Johnny Hancock Tower,Chicago Spire,One Museum Park,Tribune Tower,Aqua Tower,155 North Wacker,Streeter Place,the Chicago's Naval Pier,and CNA plaza.

Being a native Chicagoan, I'd love to see some more of the older buildings of the city. One gem that gets overlooked is the Board of Trade building, I think-- though it was used as Wayne Industries for those Batman movies. One of the most interesting buildings, and a great idea for a park lot, is the Garfield Park Conservatory or the "Fountain Of Time" in Jackson Park. I'd also suggest the Thompson State Of Illinois Center, as it's quite a unique look, even if not the tallest.

Your tribune tower is just absolutely spectacular! Great for an SC4 transformers remake ;D

Anyway, I believe that museum lots are in need and so the museums of Chicago should be Batted.

Btw guys, I may more may not make a tutorial on some modeling techniques I've learned recently that make stuff like the tribune tower possible. If anyone wants help with modeling either way, I'll help them. I'm usually in the simtropolis chat thing.
