cogeo:  I think that the storefront props look bad just kind of sitting on the buildings.  It will look a lot better if I just make everything.

Swiss_Canadian:  Too late!  I've already textured a lot of it.  The brick and limestone is what I was thinking about when I started this building.

gerAndi:  Thanks!  I actually did most of the work on the tower in April.  I really only have a few hours a week to BAT, but I try to get a lot done.

The left side is a small grocery store.  I don't know what to put on the right.

Good to see Van Wingerden so close to completion. Good to hear about the plaza lot, we can't have too many of those!

The small shop is looking quite good as well, but a few minor things:

- The walls look a bit too 'pink' to me.

- Where's the door?

Loving the roof on that though. I wouldn't change that roof texture for a thing, it works very well.

Sim Shady:  lol, nope not this weekend.  The smell you're smelling is actually farther away, but it is a very strong smell.

cammo2003:  Yeah, the hue of the brick turned that way somewhere along the line.  I've fixed it.  I've also added doors (those were always the plan, lol).  I'm glad you're looking forward to the plaza.  It will probably be the least popular, but I think it will be useful.

nofunk:  I might make another building like this too.

I've fixed the color and added doors.  I will later add signs in the windows and things like that, but I'll do that after I put in the neighboring shop.  What should be there?  This is a CS$$, so no beauty supply stores, or churches.  Something with a bit of a community vibe would be good.  There is a grocery store in the left space.

Thanks everyone.  And a camera store it is.  I think I'll finish this building tomorrow or maybe Sunday.

I have to keep you on your toes with my avatar!  lol, some people keep the same avatar for years, but I've felt like changing mine every few months.  The colors of the new avatar work out pretty well, and I like the image, so this will be by new avatar for a few months.

Your avatar is Domo-Kun (the mascot of a Japanese TV station, the Japanese equivalent of the Engergizer Bunny) riding a creature from one of Studio Ghibli's animes, but I don't remember which.  They don't have anything to do with each other, but it's funny looking.  Like having Domo-Kun have a tea party with Hello Kitty.

Hmm...what about an internet café?  In some smaller cities, where there isn't incredible amounts of traffic, like where this building would fit in, there are outdoor patios that take the whole sidewalk, and are fenced in and the sidewalk is on a deck thing that juts out onto the street.  Lemme get a picture...

I hope I explained it legibly...  It would have to be an overhanging prop or something, but I think that'd be a good idea for the right side of the building.  Some of the café is inside and some outside.    Now...what about automata randomly going through a deck...and sims walking through tables outside in the patio...

Oh well, thats my two cents.  Nice progress, by the way.

EDIT: I forgot to mention that usually these (in my city at least) they jut out onto parking spaces to the side of the road, not the road itself.

The way I remember the right way to do dates is, "the way that doesn't make sense." 

I thought about doing that (but just sticking out into the sidewalk), but I thought that a cafe would be too trendy.  A camera store (probably sells mostly used cameras) feels more normal.  It has the same feeling as a pawn shop, but without the shadyness.
