Sounds to me like you may have an incompatible Traffic Simulator in place.

Are you by chance using hailman's "Variable Route Buses" Plugin?  It's incompatible with the NAM and completely incompatible with the RHW, as it does not specify any speeds for the RHW network.

Will there be FLEXFLY with the yellow line on the outside? I need that to finish my interchanges.

Also, will you, the modders, create overpasses for the NWM? Thank You.

Can someone tell me how to get the European textures with the white lines and stuff? Have I installed RHW wrong? Really sorry if this is the wrong thread.

Actually, mrtnrln did an updated version for RHW 4.0.  You can find it here.

RHW, I know is very tricky, but I am haing so much trouble getting 6 and 8 lanes to connect through to an adjacent city. I can manage the 4 lane RHW, but I am stumped with bigger roads.

The tutorial in the RHW mod is too brief. I need a tutorial for dummies. Is there someone here who can point me to some help (i did check SC4 Devotion too, but I couldn't find the help I needed)

Thanks

1. Draw RHW all the way to the edge and form a connection.

2. Place neighbor connection piece on top.

3. Bridge the two halves of the highway with the blue "N" piece.

NOTE: There is a known bug that prevents the multi-tile neighbor connection pieces (8S, 6C, 10S) from being placed in 1 rotation on the EAST edge of a city. We are rectifying this.

I don't know what to put here anymore.

How about replacing all of the sidewalk textures you get on diagonal 6C when it comes next to development with a grass texture? Specifically the one that's on the Open Grass Area?

I claim to practice architecture, but in reality architecture practices me.

I was messing around with the RHW today, and I noticed that the MIS ground to elevated ramps did at first have the ends, but then, they were gone, and draging an RHW road to it only ended in red. Any ideas?

Use the "END" key to rotate, will also cycle through the two types: starterless and with starters. I was confused at first too, but noticed it one day.

Hey, I messing around with the RHW 6C yesterday and I noticed that its neighbor conection pieces only allowed full truck and limited bus traffic. Traffic leaving city A has around 250 busses and 1000 cars. When I load up the adjacent city B bus traffic is reduced to 34 and all cars have dissapeared...

Am I not using the connector peices right?

Nice bridge, Blue! It's really nice.

This first thing is a very small thing, but I like to put billboards and things next to my RHW, and when I do, especially MIS, I get an annoying grass texture around it that I can't match with anything. Maybe a filler piece of that texture should be included in 4.1.

Second, I think you will find this a very stupid request, and has probobly been requested bafore, but would prebuilt interchanges be in the future?

Third, I get a problem with the FlexFly thing, and I think it is the same as timmie's problem above. Why is it when I put it over RHW-4, it makes the highway going under go back into a strange texture, like something from a past version, like 3.0?

Thanks for all of the awesome content and highway improvement you have given the community. We (I speak on behalf of ST) thank you dearly for saving us from the nasty (well, i don't think they are, but that's just me) Maxis highways.

There's actually some sets of filler lots around that should match up.  The SFBT Diagonal Fillers on the LEX (note: must be registered and logged into see download link) include some that match up fairly well (and not just diagonals).  The Maxis green parks should match up with the under-network grass in high-wealth areas, too.

Prebuilt interchanges are not planned for any future releases.  They were considered about 4 years ago and then promptly scrapped in favor of the modular approach we have now.  They take a very long time to make and don't offer enough flexibility to justify it.  Additionally, given how many networks there are for the RHW now, the number that would have to be made would be staggering.

Hi guys.  I am learning to use RHW and may have missed the piece I need, but I can't find it.

I need a puzzle piece for MIS over blank terrain.  The ramps won't go any closer, and I suspect a levelling problem.  Here is a picture.

So you see, I have suicide ramps.

Thanks.  That is about the only place I didn't look.  (Starter pieces?)

^ It also looks like you've used a ground-to-slope puzzle piece, try using the ground-mis to el-mis puzzle piece instead4.gif

Ah!  So many new things.  Anyway, it was a ground leveling problem.  When I levelled the ground the problem disappeared.  I used the easy "test" to see if that was it, and sure enough, I could not place a single road tile there.  So I used the levelling tool and rebuilt the interchange.  Just fine now, thanks.

You chaps do great work.  Well done!

Aowgh!  You have two sets of mis ground to elevated ramps with guidelines on opposite sides.  All nicely color coded with neat checker boards, to, I am sure distinguish them.  I don't remember seeing how to interpret this in the documentation.  If I don't get the ramps right, they don't quite fit the top puzzle piece.  Pray reveal this secret you seem to have used heavily.

I really do want to use your package.  It has a lot of good things going for it.

In rough terrain, that I am in right now, building an interchange seems to be an exercise in civil engineering.  I can usually force levelling by using single road tiles, but that fails at times, and I am forced to use the levelling tool.  This has a very wide effect compared to dropping a single tile.  Also, the bulldozer tool for clearing up errors has a wider effect than one tile, so this makes precision demolition impossible.  If I was a civil engineer, maybe I would appreciate all this work, but since I am not creating a CJ, one wonders if all this is really necessary.

because the RHW10 is semi-limited, would it be possible to build modular pieces of it with commuter trains in the middle, like they have on the freeway of LA ( just to expand its capabilities?)
