That last pic of mine is what JCarter was looking for, there is or was no stop light and due to current limitations my end it was the only way I could make that roundabout interchange

Will have to wait and see what Tarkus comes up with

You know what would be really cool but hard to make? One giant roundabout! Like, the highway passes over a traffic circle and ramps from the highway connect to it. Blah! Forget explaining, here is a pic of one in Bay Shore, NY (a Long Island suburb of New York City).

EDIT: Here is the correct pic

EDIT: Lets try one more time...

EDIT:I swear my computer hates me...here we go again...

EDIT:I give up! Here is the link!

We have one like that on the Southern Motorway in Auckland but the motorway runs under not over it

That would be great

Warrior's making an avenue roundabout piece with an elevated highway running through it.

And maybe, just maybe we'll see one for RHW running over it. 3.gif

Hey SA, you are good at textures. do you think you'll have time to make a quick-ish texture for me ?

The missing texture is circled in red.

I'm sure a RHW over Avenue Roundabout could be put together, when the E-RHW is released or if I had E-RHW models 3.gif

Or, barring that, you could try something like Latham Circle:

EDIT: This isn't working... Here's the link instead.

The highway goes under the circle, so you wouldn't need the ERHW stuff. Though, I'm not sure how well sunken stuff works with transit networks.

JCarter:Thanks.

simzebu: I was thinking about that type of intersection, but it may run into some problems, and it may also have to be 2 seperate puzzle pieces, however there may be ways around it.

Sure thing. Do you have the original roundabout texture for that particular corner? Once I pick it up, it's all sorted, and I can do it in a matter of minutes.

Hey everyone, just a quick update of the project's progress.

With work being done on the MIS system, new textures had to be made for both the default RHW as well as the Euro one.

Thanks to SA for this image.  Its wonderful, eh?

The image

(Image had to be resized to comply with ST's size limits.  Click HERE to view it in FULL RESOLUTION!!)

As for the project itself, there has been significant progress made towards completing the beta release of the next RHW version as well as the addition of the MIS system.

Heres a couple pictures of the progress.  "A picture says a thousand words!"

Here we have a diagonal on/off ramp piece.  This will add even more possibilities for creating interchanges, because you don't have to stick with just the ortho ramps anymore!

The image

New RHW-2 texture and a MIS transition.  This new piece is useful for making your interchanges:

Anyways, if you would like to follow the development of the project, follow the link in my signature that takes you to the RHW project @ SC4D.

I don't know about you, but I'm getting really excited about this! 2.gif

Best,

-Halkackey

Dude... if you want to spread the word, go for it, but give them the link and not the picture.  The pictures are posted in the developement thread and not here for a reason.  We want people to come and get help their and be familiar there so that we dont have to bounce back and forth between sites answering questions.

I must offer my sincere thanks to everyone here at ST who has supported my work.  All of my uploads to the Simtropolis Exchange (STEX) remain and are still available at this time, including the most recent version (v13b) of the RHW (compatible with the May/June 2007 NAM).

My apologies for any inconvenience this relocation may cause.  I look forward to continuing with improving the transit aspects of this great game we all love, and hope you will continue to follow my work at its new home.  Thank you for your continued support.

Really Hal, can you not respect his wishes? and did you even go through the trouble of asking Tarkus if it is ok to post updates on his behalf with using his pictures? If you asked Tarkus to provide this thread with updates and use his pictures and he had agreed , I would not see this a problem.  Please if you want to post updates here, ask Tarkus for permission to use his pictures and to post updates.

Thank you.

jplumbley/Filasimo/rickmastfan67: Okay, I will take this information under consideration from now on. Just keep in mind that this thread is also about the development of the RHW project so the folks here at Simtrop can also be informed about the progress.

As NAM/RHW team members, I would like to thank you for the time you have committed to this project. I can certainly see that this is a lot of work on your part, and thus if you want me to respect it in such a way, I will.

Best,

-Haljackey
