Definiately.  The new CJ search is 100% operational.  Schulmania looks pretty good under it (to me, anyway)  Mr. Schulmanator has seen the new CJs.  While I think there will undoubtedly be tweaks and changes, the new system will be an improvement in every way.

That is where ST is located, so yes, EST is the default time zone. You'll be able to change it though, just like ST6

Hey guys, just a heads up, with the PM exporting feature, you can set it to automatically delete your PMs after you export them.  But I've exported my PMs twice over the years, and both times one thing or another didn't work correctly (this time a broken image prevented me from saving the .html page), and I had to fiddle with things and re-export.

So when you export your PMs, don't have it automatically delete your PMs.  Instead, export your PMs, and then clear your PMs manually after you've confirmed a successful export. 

For me, in FireFox, the export PM feature will generate a large html page of all of the PMs.  Then you can right click and go to "Save Page as..." and it will save you a .html page and a folder with all of the image files in it.

Even before the export feature existed, there were still ways. I have the text of PMs I recieved in 2003 saved in WordPad.

Then I figured out that it was feasible to save the html of the page the message was on (wanna see something really old and broken? Check this out!).

Ugh. Indeed. I lost everything from March 2006 through January 2007 this way. And I lost everything from April 2005 through February 2006 because they went boom in the last software switch and I wasn't warned ahead of time to back them up. So, yeah, thanks for the heads up this time!

The new features listed sound very good and beneficial and I can't wait to try them out. It will be a relief to finally get rid of the PFB after so many years, and I'm sure the 10,000 post thread will be easier to keep track of!

Just one question: Will the STEX description format be any different? If so, will this mean current descriptions will need to be re-formatted in any way after the upgrade?

A staff member told me it's a heavily modified version of IP.Board. Besides, SMF isn't cool enough for a site like ST (and can be a real pain in the rear ).
